Hi,have a blessed day. Amazing video beautiful paintings and vibrant colours. Kindly make more videos about colours mixing. I am not a painter but colours inspire me a lot .Fresh bright colours whether of nature or artistic paintings. Thanks for sharing. I wish I could work in that warehouse. Be positive be happy
I keep seeing your work on Instagram and it is mesmerising. I love all the old impressionists like Monet and Van Gogh. I love the vibrant colours, the texture, the dynamic rhythm. I recently tried painting using directional marks, impasto style, for the first time and I've fallen in love with it. Optically colour mixing on the canvas.
I'm such a snoop but I just drool over your paintings' colours so I always try to figure out what's on your palette. So you switch up your 5 colours for each painting? I read all your articles and they were once ultramarine, Viridian, alizarin crimson, cad yellow and white. I notice lots of different colours like cobalt turquoise and phthalo turquoise, etc. Mostly asking because I have hard time getting that bright blue without phthalo blue but it's such a pain to use due to tint strength. Anyway, I'm rambling. Thanks so much for sharing your gifts and talents. Edit: i should have read the comments first. You sort of answered. Yay!
I use a limited palette of four or five paint pigments only. However, these colors often change from painting to painting. I use a Quiller color wheel, which lets me experiment with different color relationships (complementary, split complementary, tertiary, analogous, monochromatic, etc.) As a basic rule of thumb, stick with a limited number of any of the pigments labeled on the outside edge of the Quiller Wheel, and you will be safe! Avoid using colors from the inside of the color wheel. Here's more information about using a limited palette.
