  • Kirsten Blowers talks about her experience as an entrepreneur. Kirsten is the founder and CEO of RiffRaff, a store famous for its clothes, and she narrates the process in which this brand was developed and how her personality is deeply connected to her business.
In February of 2009, while she was still a senior in college, Blowers opened Riffraff with only $100. She began selling her refurbished and hand-painted furniture, but soon expanded to include clothing and small gifts when she realized those were the items that would turn over more quickly. Many critics thought opening a small business amidst a recession was a terrible idea. It was no walk in the park, but with hard work and unbeatable customer service, she turned her dream into a reality.
One relocation, four renovations and over eight years later, Kirsten Blowers employs over 30 young women all under the age of 28! Together, they work hard while still keeping an upbeat and fun atmosphere in the workplace.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

Authenticity is the cornerstone of a successful personal brand. When people feel like they know, like, and trust you, they're more likely to engage with your content and support your endeavors.

I wish she would've condensed her story a bit better and kept it shorter for the key giveaways.

Now that I've heard you til the end, it's a double Congratulation! Never mourn a loss (husband), God provides something greater & more rewarding always (your children, your achievements, your income)! 3 for 1, not bad at all! In fact, the 3 best things you could wish for! If I get a response, I shall give you 2 more resourceful ideas to gain income, without extra work. I'm not selling anything. Just to help!
