- This was played live, in my studio to the album backing track. I was touring, non stop, all over the world performing this song during this period of my life. At the time I filmed this, I felt that I was playing this version exactly the way I wanted to perform it and as good as I could possibly play it.

You're the master of limitless guitar, and playing better than ever. I love what you bring to this Deep Purple classic. Your ears are as great as your chops. You hear what the song is all about and really take it to new heights and possibilities. I love your Randy Rhoads tribute as well. It's very powerful and I think Randy would have loved it. Someone put a wax statue from him at Tussaud's, if they're still doing that stuff. Or buy his guitar lessons. I would, but I honestly don't think I would have the commitment to get to this level.

Not only are you the fastest guitar player on the planet, but melodic...and you've got every single trick in the book mastered and then some. It blows my mind every time I watch one of your videos. I know there are shredders out there, and then there's you, totally unparalleled.
A lot of guys I see who are super fast shredders just don't have any melodic capability, and are just boring to listen to. You've got it all; don't think I've ever seen anything like this.

I once saw observed Michael Schenker's fretboard start to smoke playing something off McAuley Schenker's Save Yourself album, and although very fast for someone who uses primarily three fingers, it was at about twelve percent the speed and precision that Mike Batio plays at.
He uses asbestos to condition the fretboard.

Seeing the Marshall stacks reminds me of a guitar lesson I had at a music store called Minstrel Music in Niles IL. I walked into the very small room where I was getting my lesson and there was a Marshall stack taking up most of the room, so me and my teacher Tony Rivera could barely fit in the room. So I asked my instructor why is there a Marshall stack taking up the whole room? and he said that one of his other students said to him that “if I was playing through a Marshall stack l would probably sound as good as you” (he meant the instructor). So the instructor brought his Marshall stack into the room so he could hear his student sound as good as he did playing through the Marshall stack. And of course the student didn't sound as good and the instructor and he made his point. But then the instructor thought that he should leave the Marshall stack in the room just in case any other students had that same thought.
Haha. Great. It states in the description that I used a Marshall 2 x 12 combo amp off camera. However, I learned a valuable lesson. Make sure the amps are on! Thanks for your comment. It’s awesome!
