this vid rocks!! ,
Greetings from Oregon. I've been watching these videos for years and just now, 5-24, wanted to Thank You 💓 , for sharing your life. Im an avid flyfisher, as are my 9 kids. We All Love watching you and your Mom catching. *** Godspeed 🙏❤️
Once in a while you can find a jewel at youtube video's but this time I found a precious diamond. What a camera, what a cast and what an experience to see this. Thanks so much for sharing it.
Aart Hennekes Hi Aart,
Thanks so much. That area up in British Columbia is a special place. Hannah and Alice run a world class operation that I was very lucky to experience for over a week.
Her name is Hannah Belford. She and her mother, Alice, are the owner/operators of Damdochax River Lodge in northern British Columbia near Damdochax Lake. Hannah is an awesome angler! www.damdochax.com
Oh yes all day !
I love BC and the fishing there. I'm from Sweden 🇸🇪 and I move to USA for years! As I'm back home I do miss it big.
Keep flys simple effective!
They need to be alive in the water that's the key.
Love this video!
Take care of your family and be safe out there 🙏 Bjorn the swed
loose the glove for those wilds, their very harmful.
Ok so a wolf ate your fly rod Did you get tired of saying the dog ate your homework? ( as quoted from the warranty dept of Sage)
I was deeply offended when the owner Mike Brown at Mossy’s Fly Shop in Anchorage Alaska called this Talented Angler “ man hands” when I mentioned how incredible her guide operation and hard work paid off. It really disgusted me that a fly shop full of men talk about women anglers with so much jealousy and harsh words that are far from true. That’s when I made it my bucket list to hopefully spend a few days with this incredible woman! As a man, I respect the family aspect of her growing up fishing. It’s what inspired me to raise my son to be an angler and now he surpassed me. All the awful things Mike and his co workers at mossy’s said should take a lesson from a real passionate, successful angler and keep the negativity to themselves when a new customer comes in excited that a woman inspired a young man such as myself. I knew it was jealousy however it was heartbreaking knowing that comment really broke my
Heart. I love this angler, her family dynamic, her success and she’s passionate. Seems these days if corporate business don’t like you they say awful things. This person is a true angler and I only wish I can gain 10% of her skill.
I my apologies and not trying to be malicious. I just wanna spread awareness of the garbage in Alaska. I don’t know when Flyfishing became a mafia up here.
When you go to BC for Steel, not if you go, this is the place! Remote, beautiful and the best of guides! A passion for the river, Knowledge of the fish, an experience you will never forget.
I love the fact that you used electrical tape....and now it has a story priceless.the destination is amazing....but the story...wow. Is there a reason why everyone puts the steelhead back ? Catch and release is the only way in my mind.
Berkeley Jones steelheads are such wonderful fish that we consider sports fish. Most people consume it but we rather let him go and watch him take off. 😊😊😊😊

the memories you will have from fishing with your mother are priceless, amen!!
Once a person could dream at least of living in a wilderness place. Now one can't even dream. People are everywhere. Guides & Helicopters. I grew up in Northern B.C., yes nice lady, saw a way to make money & good on her but there isn't anywhere that your not neck deep in helicopters and waders anymore. I would like to see a ban on copter fishing. If you can't float, horse or walk you don't fish. It was that way for most of that wilderness existence. Now it is buying or selling river frontage on Home & Garden tv. I would rather than ever fish there a show that is on Documentary that starts. In Northern B.C. is an area yet unknown to man, a place that a tribe of natives are believed to exist that have yet to make contact with the modern world. A place of mist & mystery. It was almost like that growing up .....almost.
Stevo Reno Good point. It is just I remember what used to be & see what is now. There have always been casualties of war but Northern B.C remained a wilderness. There will always be casualties of war but if we can we need wilderness. The world is shrinking. Where I used to kayak is now 25 ft boats going 70 miles per hour running float tubes across your fishing line.
+Tossdart This is BS...whatever it takes man, I float one man toon, drift boat and Jet sled here in SWL Michigan and even within 2 hrs of Chicago I have spots where I never see another human for days on our rivers. Copter is a tool. Well done Todd Moen, get me fired up for my own Steelhead Dreams.
AIRDOODOO It isn't just copters it is the for sale. Don't please compare where I grew up in the 60s & 70s & the nearest neighbour was 15 miles to the most heavily populated area on earth. Some of us just lament past times which are behind. Have a look at the Korubo here on tube.
What you're asking for is either depopulation through extermination or population control by banning children. Otherwise you just have to deal with all these humans and yes it sucks.
Know how it goes. We used to hike into the back country in Montana to fly fish for cutthroat and never see anyone. Some writer for a magazine finds the spot, writes an article, now people are all over the place. I am getting to old to hike back further so my wife and I stocked our pond with rainbows and enjoy teaching our grandkids to fly fish. No I am not going to tell you where it is.
Wow what an incredible video I absolutely loved it thank you so much for sharing 🙌🏽 your casting is incredible 🙌🏽
I found a woman just like her and... i married her!

Is it me or are women more attractive when they fish!
Beautiful video and beautiful trout. Congratulations.
edmilson silva Thanks Edmilson!
There are so many fishing videos on RUclips which clutch vainly at the profound or are steeped in melodrama, but fail miserably to do anything but wade knee-deep in cliche. This is instead offers a simple (if unique) story simply told - but isn't that what our sport should be all about?
Wonderful video - I wish I could forget it just to watch it for the first time again.
Great stuff... gotta be the perfect woman...great angling .. always freaks me out though that right hand American winding. ..just don't seem right .. John speyside Scotland. X
Great video of a fishing family in the beautiful back country of BC. Definitely have to add this as a destination on my bucket list. Nice double spay by someone who knows what she is doing by the nice steelhead she caught and missed ,as we all do.
Wonderful, unobtrusive music. Great sound. Very inspiring all around. Thnx to all involved. You made art.
Thank you so much!!
AMAZING! Fantasic music (that stays Quietly in the background!!!) , Wonderfully put together images, and Oh MY....how perfect is she! lol....I struggle for words to find about the dream - finding such a beautiful lady, who loves to fish so much, whose passion for the sport is that huge!
I have this video saved as a favorite on 3 computers and my iphone. It's very special. Thanks for putting it together!
I just started fly fishing and watching this young woman is an inspiration. How cool is it that she has this life and her mother and her sharing it together. How nice it would be to visit such a place and be able to fly fish there. I wish you all the success and happiness. How lucky you are... You go girl(s)!!! And to the film maker... EXCELLENT JOB! You have a gift I think! Good luck to all of you!! I hope a part 2 will be out soon!
Best Regards, John

Super i have fishing salmon for 20 years with speycasting, but the way this girl handle this 2 handed rod is magic can only say a super wideo
This is the real deal. It brought back some great memories of living in BC and fishing the Cowichen river in Duncan and up stream in the mid 1980’s. I was lucky to have a green card and a Symphony appointment in Victoria for a season. I didn’t fly fish but used a long rod and Hardy Silex. Those screaming runs and jumps on this video were just fantastic! Thanks for sharing.
I am a diehard Michigan steelheader and trout bum, and this video makes me drool. You west coasters radiate a love for rivers.
