Born and raised in Kitimat ,,moved away a long time ago when you would drift the Kitimat in March and see no one all day,,,, miss those days miss the Rivers and the Monster Fish.
Awsome video Girls..
I have flyfished for steelhead for some 40 years. I have read, watched, and fished it all....but hands down by far the BEST video I have watched on our sport. Whoever filmed the trip and put it together should win award!!! I grew up on the Klamath River in Northern California, live and fish the PNW, and have gone to BC....had a few days of multiple steelhead, BUT you folks rocked it!!!
I doubt most of what you say because you say you've seen it all. There is no "ALL" in steelheading. Every day, every cast, every grab is a rebirth and if it's not you've become entitled. Broaden you search. There's more out there than you say.
Just returned to DK after a week in Norway, fishing for Atlantic Salmon, "only" got 2 this year, due to extreme water level. My soul simply craves for more, always dreamed of visiting Skeena in the hunt for big Steelheads, this little video makes me wanna sell everything i own, go to Skeena and never return, its truly a place of dreams. Well done, beautiful video that tells a little about the "flyfisher madness" :)
The double header was incredible. And what a once in a lifetime picture along with it.
April is one of my favourites. Nice Canadian girl, and a very talented spey caster. Watching her throw those long, tight loops is mesmerizing.
Very impressive and a great ambassador for the sport.
Karl Roberts right! Ain’t lyin, first thing I noticed about these videos was how amazing her Spey casting is!
@JustinDOzone You watch this video and thats all you’ve got? Your comment speaks to your intelligence. Hopefully the places these girls are fishing are places you will never get to and spoil the serenity of the river with your lack of manners.
@@justindozone2160 So she is a steelhead junky Tramp! wow!! my kinda girl.
Robert Redford approves of this movie. SO DO I! Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww ... thanks so much for making it!
Thank you for sharing. Beautiful place beautiful fish beautiful fisher girls. Great casting for sure. Skeena Rive is now on my bucket list. Just got one after three days on the Deschutes what a thrill!!!!
One of those trips you'll remember for years.... Magic fishing!!! Awsome video
I remember the first time I took a fine salmon on a dry fly. It was on the River Matane in beautiful Québec. I was there with my girlfriend and in rotation with five other anglers (who all were fishing the wet fly). Near the middle of the pool I saw a large salmon roll on the surface. I covered it with a brown bomber I had tied the evening before, at camp. In one glorious moment the beast engulfed my fly...and the rest is history. A stunning 13lb bar of silver lay in the net. A moment I will never forget.
This video encompasses everything that makes steelhead fishing great ... the scenery, the aesthetic, the joy of being with good friends (and the jealousy) and the lack of words to describe what it feels like to hook and land these fish ... really cool video!
Epic video. Thank you for sharing some of your steelheading adventures. I'm an avid angler myself, and to me there's nothing quite like hooking and landing one of these unbelievable fish. They're challenging and elusive, which makes it all the more rewarding when you finally get one! Cheers and tight lines!
Greetings from NZ. Nothing like dry fly fishing. The Skeena River was my favourite when I lived in BC.
This is the best Steelhead video out there. Fun kickass fishing with two gorgeous knockouts that love to fish. Very inspiring. I'm heading to the Skeena in part to this video. Great job.
way to go April looking good girl and you are a phenomenal fisher women love all your videos and you do a lot for sport some people seem to think its a crime to look good and be good at what you do fly fishing
Very nice video April, well done. Enjoyed every minute of it.
I really enjoyed watching the video. I use to be a very avid steelhead fisherman, in the Green River in Washington state. I was a spoon or spinner steelheader.
The video made me want to go up to BC for some steelhead fishing. Thanks again for the video.
Thanks. You conveyed the feeling we all get when we get into a fish and you did it on a Vid. Nice job.
unbeleivable you guys rock great work!!!
Please keep the videos coming. Love watching you cast!
April is the best! Hands down ! Has an awesome podcast too!
years ago, April was guaided Polish TV angling team in BC. kisses and greets from Poland to You April !!!

That setup is dope! She really wings it out there to. I hope to be this good one day
There is just about nothing in this video that isn't goddamn gorgeous. Great video, this needs more views! Great attitude about fishing, handling the fish and no over the top usa like reactions. Damn it I am so hyped about going to canada next year.
yeah. Love is So Beautiful to witness. It makes the Observer part of the Observance...blessed are we all......fish on
Wow phenomenal steelhead fishing.
watched this several times. will watch it again. Went there after seeing this for the first time. Drove a 1000 miles and back and didnt catch a one. But I get it!
best vid ever.... nice fishes..... great nature....
3 happy ppl
Great job guys doesn't get any better than this I'm jealous..
Great video nice to see the old buck with gill net scars in his nose at 23:55 be released again to fight another day!
Fantastic content. Very well done; thank you for sharing it.
April is a beast, she's the real deal!
I love the disappointment when I lose one... You are just incredible... A real passion. I have got one question to you. Have you ever caught a steelie on the dry fly? Do they rise like the rainbows? Petr.
Great video of some amazing rivers and fish. I'm reading behind the lines here, but the Dean River must really have gone downhill if April guided there for a few years but has never seen a double-header or caught a steelhead on a dry fly. It's very sad DFO is OK with steelhead being decimated by commercial and tribal netting.
Go crazy go steelhead... 🎣😍 Love it
Aaah, now I see, they are rising... That´s a real challenge...
Excellent video!
Awesome fish keep on catching them just priceless
everyone loves April but Andrea is fine
deee jaaay yes, everyone loves the very pretty women, but I got one of those at home. Dustin is an awesome guide and, no I don't have one of those at home.
nothing beats great looking ladies who can get down and dirty.
This is an amazing video in so many ways. We’re all loving this fishery to death😢
Way to go girls! You are making all us fishermen jealous.
I commented before video ended....multiple double headers...you would have to go to Kamchatka to even come close to those numbers...British Columbia is more beautiful and closer, again job well done crew!
Awesome video!
awsome video girls love that you are using single hand light gear aswell as Spey's I'm a light gear enthusiast on the bedder chehlis and a few other smaller cuts love it your stars
Very nice. Wow....do those girls know how to fly fish! Thanks for handling those fish the proper way, not harming the gills. Thanks
Unbelievable fishery! Great job guys! Thanks for sharing.
Omg nice scenery for sure
Born and raised in Terrace. It really is one of the most beautiful places on earth. These girls really are great anglers but fishing here makes everyone look good
absolutely amazing......
I fish atlantics on the east coast.. seems similar to steelheading in many ways. The good and the bad. I hope to try for steelhead one of these days. Try something new!
Amazing!
Go girls!
I’ve got to get out of Texas and try that. Whopper steelhead. The best.

Maybe the slogan "KEEP THEM WET" would be appropriate.

Very cool video and very nice fish! I’ve got to get back to the US for another crack at steelhead 🤤
I would love to know some of the music in this video. And it goes without saying that I'm drooling over fly fishing steelhead now...

Hi just subscribed
I know. I know. I know that awful feeling. Filled with happiness...filled with jealousy. Yep, I know.
i just love how those people are landing and handling fish in this video. i´m not a friend of landing nets.
The fish handling in this video was very good. However, rubber nets or cradles can be easier on the fish since you can land them in deeper water and more quickly. This is especially true if you're fishing solo. I carry a big rubber coated net even when hiking 5 miles up a trail. Without a net, you have to wear the fish out quite a bit more before they can be tailed and/or pull them into shallower water where they're more likely to be injured from flopping around on rocks.
Oh yeah..Did I mention it's on a dry fly?
Can you share what type of equipment you are using -and perhaps where that is located
beauty shots, beauty fish, beauty women and nothing more I need ;)
Does it get any better than catching giant fish on dry flies?
Tight lines, BFAC 👊

she is on of the steelhead I would like to catch one day..:-)
Great video ,best drags in the world and people still palm reels, why????

Hello ladies Nice job. April what are the wheigt of Your rod?
One day, I'll be half as good if I practice a lot.
take me fishing!)))
The time track is a little off. Should be 4:20 at 4:34. Killer BC bud, eh? My kind of guide, the "Dude abides" and a Wooldridge.
Home for me, believe it or not living in alberta :/
Come down and fish the North Umpqua . Wild and strong fish .
fishon catch em,... Except they can't fish on weekends because they are Canadians. I know they would want to treat us the same as we are treated and not crowd our fishery.
april is so beautiful
4:47 lol, it's framed and edited like she's talking about the guy.
April Vokey , if god,s made anything better he s kept it for himself. WAT A GIRL
What is that great music at the 20 minute mark???
Aso Power Dekha Da Baba by Divya Morya & Guddu Rangila, so says Mr. Google.

and what type of flies you recommend for fishing for trout salmon and slealhead
HI APRIL AND ANDREA WHAT IS THE ROD AND TACKLE THAT YOU LADIES USE. I LOVE THE VIDEO
Mostly G Loomis GLX Dredgers and Switch rods with a Sage Z Axis thrown in for the first hook up. Lines are a combination of Rio AFS and Skagit Max's.
I always land my fish. You do not ever grab my line!

Don’t know why they aren’t using a net and keeping the fish in the water
Hi - what kind of race is the dog? he is beautiful
mans best friend or womans best friend
Type of "breed" is that dog.
Life jackets always....
wooow 👍👍👍👍
Fly fishing for steelhead is magic. My favourite river is the Morice, which joins the Bulkley which in turn, joins the Skeena.
Standing thigh deep in cold, clear running water, the mid-fall colors on the trees, working my fly over the likely holding water, I'm at one with my surroundings. I have a nice nicotine buzz from my first cigar of the day. The first beer of the day is fizzing away in my stomach. It just might be time for my second cigar of the day. As I light up, I glance at my watch and see that it's seven o'clock in the morning.
Im peanut butter and jelly...
i wish i could jump in this video
2 Hot to handle. LOL
