- Welcome to my let's play series for 7 Days To Die Version 1.0 - The Layer Cake Challenge, in this series we will be showing gameplay of the new update. In this episode we do a lot more questing, and even some power looting as we hit our daily quest limit for Trader Rekt!
Layer Cake Challenge Rules:
You must go through each biome in order and take on the horde in each biome as follows:
Days 1-7: Forest Biome
Days 8-14: Burnt Forest
Days 14-21: Desert Biome
Days 22-28: Snow Biome
Days 29-35 Wasteland Biome
Grace period until 17:00 the day after the horde to go between 2 biomes if you need to make multiple trips to move bases.
The challenge is Permadeath
Play on whatever settings you're comfortable with, the only real big one is the horde needs to be every 7 days.
You can't go between biomes at all, if you get given a quest in a different biome - tough, you can't do it. The only time you can travel back and forth is until 17:00 on the day after the horde to move between bases.
Some modlets are fine, as long as they don't massively impact game balance.
Settings -
* Warrior Difficulty
* Zombies Run during the day & sprint at night
* Loot respawn off
* 64 Max Alive Horde Nights

I play the old version on ps4 with my son. It’s great. I play this version when I’m playing solo. Not sure what one I like better to be honest. Both have many pros and cons.
You can't beat the atmosphere in the old console version, just something about it!

I died on the desert horde night. So I'm starting again, but simplifying it. I have longer in each biome and I'm on Scavenger difficulty. Hopefully I might make it all the way this time. Please leave tips if you can. tia.

being that you are stuck in a biome for 7 days maybe upping the jobs you can do in 1 day a little would be ok....
Ahh I don't mind so much, I won't hit the limit once I get to tier 3 anyway
I think that day care was a Infested last time you cleared it the basement gets pretty crowded then and that hatch would have been handy and the pooch is out in the yard then as well. I didn't even realize that there was a limit on quest progression until my second run I noticed when I saw the setting for it the second go so I just maxed it out not a fan of that limit. ...still searching for a proper book store..I wish i was doing a regular run so I could stay in this desert Biome the city in this one is huge I think it's two big cities kind of butted up against each other there's a empty run of land between them but it isn't very big, kind of like a field. but Winter Biome is coming up next...I've been running into to wolves and murder kitties in the desert near my base and I'm pretty far away from the Winter Biome so it's not the bit of cross border wandering... I have to remember not to take quest near the last Biome on drop days I lost another that ended up back in the burnt so trying to stay in the middle or near the next biome so at least I can get it when I progress if it drops out of reach.
Ahh maybe you're right about it being infested last time. Yeah it seems wolves and Mountain Lions spawn at night in the desert now!
now i have to do it... 69 NICE....lol
