As always, thanks for all the support, it is so greatly appreciated

I like how you show the" good and bad" side of plumbing life , no one's perfect.
Have a great weekend Tom.
You get to see the good and the bad on this channel, thanks for watching as always Steve, hope you have a great weekend
Your doing god's work fair play @@PlumbLikeTom
A couldn’t stop laughing with the Strom rant 😂 pleased it’s all sorted and you can relax mate. Have a great weekend Tom.
Thanks for the support as always mate, they haven't sent anyone to collect it yet, I'm thinking about charging them storage, have a great weekend
You had a rough time but stayed dignified. Have a good weekend
Thanks for the support as always Brian
Good content mate, it’s always us who end up out of pocket due to poor manufacturing, been there a couple of times lately! Rant away Tom it’s good for the soul👍🏻😂
It's very annoying installers always get left out of pocket, thanks for the support as always mate
Nice to see that electric boiler up and running Tom, you can’t beat a bit of a sarcastic rant, does your sole good. 🤪👍🚽have a a good weekend and take care.
Thanks for the support as always Peter, have a great weekend mate
Another good video Tom , don't let jobs get to you too much, I don't think Strom did you any favours, have a good weekend!
Thanks for the support as always mate, hope you have a great weekend 👍
Sometimes in business you have to eat a shlt sandwich followed by a big mac with the wrapper still on the cheese. Excellent Tom, best plumbing content on youtube.
The last mc Donald's I had still had the plastic on cheese, it was nicely melted in though, thanks for the support as always, hope you have a great weekend
Send the manufacturers an invoice mate…. Worth a try
They never pay, it's always installer error or somebody else's fault, they are all the same, I will try but the chances are slim to none. On the email they sent it said I would be charged if the old unit was sent back damaged, good luck getting any money off me is all I will say on that
Enjoyed that as ever...Nice to see the sarcasm...have a nice weekend tom
Thanks for the support as always Paul, glad you enjoyed, hope you have a great weekend 👍
Hi Tom Great video, as usual, thanks.
Those Acova rads have the flow on the opposite corner to the bleed valve, and you can just turn them around if the flow pipe isn’t on the correct side initially - it’s a nice feature of them, with the brackets being able to be put on from either face.
Regarding the electric boiler , hopefully that’ll be the end of the saga! (I’m not sure how you managed not to swear a lot - I would have!)
Thanks for the support as always Steve, you are correct about the rads, you can flip them round on the brackets, it's is handy as some you need to swap the pipes. Hopefully it is the end of the saga, the customer is happy
The good The Bad & The Ugly parts of the job Tom
😂😂
👍👍🤜
There are certainly more ugly parts than good parts at the minute Tony, thanks for watching as always mate
Good one Tom. 👍👍
Thanks for the support as always Colin, have a great weekend 👍
Great video Tom 👍😎
Thanks for the support as always Pb, hope you have a great weekend
The rare 'Salty-Tom' @16:57 but with good reason to be fair. Hang in there mate. Wanted to reach thru the screen and give you a hand to lift the unit and get the pipes back in!
Thanks for the support as always mate, it would be nice if you could reach through the screen sometimes, have a great weekend
Always love the videos, but today saw more of your personality in the video. Was laughing along with you, and this is exactly how I would react if it happened to me. Keep up the good work
Thanks for the support as always Josh, I'm so pleased you enjoyed the video, have a great weekend
Good old Loctite.
You know Dave, thanks for the support as always mate
As It's a dangerous situation, can't it be checked independently
To prevent someone from being hurt. ?
I think it should be, thanks for watching mate
New tape required Tom 😀
I've written new numbers on the reverse side, they don't quite work the metric system but as long as I'm the only one who needs the measurement it works, thanks for watching as always mate 👍
They were doing 2x OX 5m tapes for about £12 at tool station. I got a couple really good quality and well marked up!
Well done Tom, showed great restant. I don't think I would be so polite. 😕
Thanks for the support as always James, hope you have a great weekend
Like watching your videos Tom bit of everything lol. Do you work for yourself m8t or a company ..cheers
I work for my families construction company, thanks for watching mate, have a great weekend 👍
Hi Tom, another great film thank you, just to let you know we have now decided not to use Strom (it’s all in the detail) boilers from now on.
I’m not a fan of their products or their weak customer service, they need us more than we need them.
If they want to know why they have been sacked, watch Tom’s films, (it’s all in the detail).
Well done Tom I hope you have seen the back of them too, have a great weekend mate and as always take care. 👍👍👍
Thanks for the support as always Chris, I certainly won't be fitting another, I always like to give people a second chance and an opportunity to make right but I have been left feeling disappointed with the product
Yep I agree with you Tom, we no longer fit, service or repair the Strom stuff.
If a job comes in on Strom products we refuse the job and explain why to the customer.
I’m disappointed they treated you a fantastic and honest tradesman so shabby.
I look forward to the next film, take care mate. 👍👍👍
👍👍
Thanks for the support as always Danny, hope you have a great weekend 👍
NIce video! what's the paste you are using for the radiator nut?
Thanks for the support mate, it's jet blue, just helps seal the olive although not technically needed I always use it
What is your thoughts on Air source heat pumps have come across one yet
I have fitted quite a few in the past when I used to sub contract to heat pump firm, I have done both ground and air, they are good in the right property with the correct design
Hanging rads, i do 6 inches off floor and thats that 😂😂😂😂
Fair, the customer wanted them an inch above the skirting on this job but this one had to hang a bit lower due to the window, thanks for watching mate
Quote of the week: "I'm not gonna go mental with the PTFE"
Thanks for the support as always mate
Good one Tom. So how do Strom deal with their warranty repairs? Do they actually send anybody out in that situation? If so maybe you could have said the boiler failed after 3 days or some such. Have a good weekend.
They don't have any engineers as far as I know, I wanted them to come and replace it or repair it but they wouldn't, I guarantee this comes back as installer error and they charge me for re packing. on the contract they charge 150 for any damage to the old unit sent back. All I will say is good luck getting any money from me, thanks for watching mate
Top job as always tom ! Is there any chance I could ask for some advice when it comes to commercial pumps ? Cheers mate
Thanks for the support mate, you can always ask any questions, I will be happy to help the best I can
What’s the best way on a commercial pump to test it’s actually working would it be the old screwdriver test still ? Cheers mate
@@PlumbLikeTom forgot to tag you mate sorry lol
Great video Tom, that’s poor show from that boiler company, why should you have to refit it for free.
I have been to the Horne factory a good few times, it’s a great old school factory with a modern twist, plus they are very good with helping you out with information.
Thanks for the support as always Andy, horne are the best blending valves I think, expensive but very good quality
I never use grips on chrome and brass .
Must be proud of your self
Hi Tom how ya doing ❤
Good thanks Glyn, how are you? Thanks for watching as always mate
Very nice you should charge them for the time to fit the replacement,😂 like you said you’ll charge for waste disposal 😂😂😂.I had a 17 00 towel rad delivered to the wrong address and as the person wasn’t in at the wrong address they left with a neighbour Spent 3hrs trying to sort it out, and when I got it it had a manufacturers label on it, stating you was manufactured in 2019 so I wonder how much profit they would have made on that .
And today was meant to get a bathroom extracting fan, which is also been delivered to the wrong address and got those where that is Amazon I think the employee people that can’t read😂😂😂😂all fun.
Going to have a couple of drinks, you have yourself a nice weekend Tom 👍👍👍👍👍☘️☘️🍺🍺🍺
Thanks for the support as always mate, it sounds like you're having as much luck as me, hope you have a great weekend, enjoy the drinks
🤘😎🤘
Thanks for the support as always Wayne, hope you have a great weekend mate
so you recommend them boilers then? 😂
Can I say no comment, thanks for watching as always mate, hope you have a great weekend 👍
do you work for yourself or a company ?
I work for my families construction company, thanks for watching Dave
are they paying you to fit it can't believe they said that
I highly doubt I will ever see any money from them, the cost always seems to be at the installers expense, what really annoyed me is the fact they will charge me £150 if the old unit is not returned in the original condition, all I will say is good luck getting any money from me, thanks for watching
Why wouldn’t you paint the skirting first? 😂
I removed the rads for decorating, the customer was doing the majority of the work themselves at weekends, thanks for watching
If you like working for free Tom, come work for me. I can keep you busy all week 😂😂
Tell me about it, I think manufactures think our time is free, thanks for the support as always mate
Plumbings always a challenge you deal with it well, grips on that nice expensive blender🫣 mixed bag on this one well done 😊😊😊
Thanks for the support as always Wayne, it is nice to come across good quality blenders, they rarely get fitted now as the cheap ones do the same job but don't last as long
The boiler is shagged mate… use the prv
What is your reasoning behind not opening it normally? Do you never check they’re working? They do fail and if you never test them you’d never know
@@BrickTop900 if they’re not passing they’re fine. Manually operating one could cause them to leak. They’re more of an emergency relief valve to protect the boiler
Quality rant 😂So much crap manufactured and passed of with little or no QA/QC for the end user to sort out - boils my p@so as well .
It's the most annoying thing about the job, it's always the installers responsibility to foot the bill, thanks for watching as always
Mate. You and elec boilers do not get on. Never fitted one, never will.
I've had a bit of bad luck with them recently, I have done a few in the past and not had any issues though, thanks for the support as always mate, have a great weekend
Evening Tom, just came out of hospital today Hernia repair caused by being a hero lifting heavy packs of roof shingles for a log cabin build on my own rather than asking for help.
Watch your videos and see you doing the same thing ,you can get away with it for so long being young, but when your old like me it will catch you out
, anyway if it were me fitting a replacement manufacturer's faulty part I would be invoicing for my additional time, and if they don't pay refuse to fit there products anymore.
Don't apologise for ranting that's what I do all day I'm known as the grumpy old git handyman round my way, but guess what I do the job right so they put up with me,
Have a great weekend I'm learning loads of you ------ Now let me see if I can handyman gas work ha ha
Have they given you a reason for the fault yet?@@PlumbLikeTom
Apex?
I'm downloading battlefield 1 if you want to play that later
You sarcastic ,nooooo
Thanks for the support as always Tom ,hope you have a great weekend
