    In todays video I replace a section of rotted out iron pipe on a heating vent, replace a vented over sink hot water heater and repair a leak that I caused while fitting a new kitchen sink on a soil pipe boss
    As always, thanks so much for all the support, please drop a like if you enjoyed the video

      Thanks for the support as always Kevin, I should have probably done that, it was a job I had priced though and it's sometimes where do you stop. I had only allowed to fit a new sink and got unlucky with the boss leaking, I did ct1 one the boss in a wedge the pipe so hopefully it should be Ok.

      @@PlumbLikeTom Thank you Tom for putting out the videos. I live in the highlands but used to run a building company in London. You just can't get plumbers were we live so its been amazing to watch your videos and learn how to do things. It actually helped me to do a new oil combi install. 👍 Not looking forward to the service though! keep up the good work, great content

    I rate the Rothenberger tape measure. Rather than a lock it holds where it's pulled out to and you push the button to retract it. Great for a soldering prop. Interesting jobs as always. Btw I'm stealing make like a shepherd 😂

    Tom can i ask about the brass male iron into the steel fitting. Are there any issue with dissimilar metals with the pipe elbow being steel and the male iron being brass? Great videos thanks for sharing tour knowledge.

    • @PlumbLikeTom
      @PlumbLikeTom  8 месяцев назад

      Ideally you should keep the materials the same but the brass does act as a dielectric anode to help prevent corrosion between the copper and the steel, thanks for watching mate 👍
