Good video mate. You can get 3 -1/2 inch pan connectors for them old outlets. I normally cut it back to the wall and the pan connector will push straight in. 👍😎😎😎

I had to replace a floor for a landlord after the whole thing was rotten. Never a pleasant job but you did well. It’s crap when the toilet leaks like that 🤦🏻♂️
The lead connection to soil is what was known as a brass thimble. It was connected to the lead by means of wiped joint and then the pan was caulked in with possibly sand and cement
@@Heatking connected to many lead outlets by cutting off at the wall and using suitable pan connector that was available at the time. Dead easy connections nowadays with plastic pipe and providing seals don’t get damaged on installation the job’s a gud un.Only ever had to erect a cast iron soil once on an architect controlled job. The lead caulking with tarred rope was a bugger, very time consuming. Looked good when it was done though.
I was surprised you didn't bring the feed pipe for the toilet up closer to the soil pipe and then use a flexi to connect. I never fit a handle and old type of flush as you still need an overflow or did the flush have one built in?
Had one built in yes. And in hindsight, I should have brought the feed a bit closer and use a flexi, I did think that when I stood back after fitting it haha
A copper flange lead welded into a cast iron soil pipe , lovely😭I’ve had a leak on a pressed 89 mm pipe , on a heating return today , I would not have swapped with you today 😂 Great stuff mate

I really like them too. Good prices and their stuff seems to cover a lot of scenarios. Gets me out of trouble without costing too much in van stock. Anyway - good vid. Keep on.

Had a strange one today went to a unvented cylinder the vessel was flatt pumped it up to 3 bar as on the data badge then when i put the water back on i got browny coloured water out and it smelt like heating water do you think it was the water from the expansion vessel which must have entered the cylinder
@@Heatking yes that's what I put it down to intreasting though as on the data badge it said pre charge should be checked every 6 months I can't see that happening lol .but I am pushing more on the servicing of cylinders since paying out for the ticket .when I fit a cylinder I fit a pressure gauge after the pressure reducing valve so you can easily see the pressure to make sure it's working correctly how do you cheak the pressure easily is ther a tip I have a 10 bar guage I made up with a flexible pipe to go on a outside tap but it's not easy to find a place on the cylinder to check it

Well someone's got to do it :) I use to work with a guy and he would unblock sewers and toilets with no gloves and then go eat a sandwich and not even think about washing his hands!
i once was once working on a toilet unblocking it outside told the client im going clearing the blockage don't flush, until im done literally just finished clearing it lid for ajay still open on my hands and knees she shouted is it clear, yup job done okay flushes immediately oh fuck full days worth of poop soup crashes down at 100 mph day ruined XD i hate everything too do with toilets

Have had great experiences with the Viva cistern valves thanks to your recommendations. Not so much with EPH controls though😥 two failed on same job

I use the Milwaukee inflator mate, m12. But I’d just get whichever one has the same battery as your power tools.

You can normally pull those flexi pan connector apart and shorten the corrugated part.
