So glad that Dave had a time in the spotlight. I absolutely love Ray and his incredible song writing talent and charismatic stage presence. They are different from one another but I believe that they were and are The Kinks together.
😅😅
.vcccccc 49:26 .
God save the Kinks! ❤
Even in their final years, the middle-aged Kinks showed no decline in their ability to play great rock and roll. The high-energy version of Phobia, and extended version of Aggravation complete with dancers, a light show and Ray Davies monologue, showed that the band could make memorable performances with their latter-day material. You rarely see that even from other great bands. Thanks for posting!
God Bless Ray, Dave, Mick Avory and all of the Kinks❤
I saw this tour when they were in the states.....Kinks concerts always provided what I wanted - and Dave's guitar tone is a best kept secret
.
Thank you posting! It's great to hear Dave play!
Danke einfach eine.Tolle.Band ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤. Danke nochmal für die Performance ❤❤❤
Daves' guitar tuned into awesome that night.
@Gerard van Calcar Thanks for posting this great show, and for your entire channel!!! "God STILL Saves The Kinks!!" #ThankYouForTheDays :)
Greatest songwriting
Band of all time....
Anywhere !
Thanks for such a "new" Kinks Live recording!!!
God Save Ray and Dave and Kinks!
Awsomeness
Alabados sean los Kinks
Great. Just about every Kinks video on RUclips, the comments will be full of "most underrated band of all time...."; gets tedious, and it's kind of not true, the world has been catching up with the Kinks in the last couple of decades. But Dave IS just about the most underrated guitarist of all time - love his playing.
Sorry it is still painfully true, not tedious.😮
Untrue, I was Roller Skating in the 80s and Destroyer was a huge song back then. Lola was always top 10 in classic rock count downs in the 80s…maybe the younger folks are learning them I guess, I still am after years and years lol. Thanks to video. Not to mention 2 Van Halen covers of great Kink songs….
@@wilstjohn Sorry, true. Because you know 5 songs from the roller rink does not mean they are not underrated. For what they contributed and accomplished, they are painfully underrated…..still.
Dave should be doing as lot more time on solo's & extended guitar parts on live songs like the To The Bone version of "I'm not like anybody Else!".
Ray and Dave singing together is like youth found
I saw the Kinks live across 3 decades and the shows varied, some were sloppy, some were tight, but hey were all 10 of 10 on the fun scale- thank you for sharing this from the end of their unbelievable run
Merveilleux Kinks .
⭐⭐⭐
Thank you!! Thanks for posting this show. I saw the Kinks several times in '95 at the end of the group's playing together. They were never tighter. Nice way to go out. But I guess it was time.
They never did "Apeman" when I saw them, so that was a real treat, especially as Ray sang at 27:57 what everybody thought they heard back in the day.
Wow what a wonderful Apeman...great show!
I have never seen/heard the Kinks do Twist and Shout before. That was kind of interesting. The live version of Phobia here is way better than the album version. Great show!
Great show as usual. I noticed that Dave’s mic was not as loud as Rays especially during Death of a Clown.
Great band
Dankeshön Ray, Dave, Kinks, deutsche dancers and audience, fantastic show😅
Great band!
This was one dynamite concert.
Danke für den Traum ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ovviamente straordinari Kinks ma anche fantastico il publico 🖤🍷🍷
They are so specials unique band ! One of the best among the very best !
❤❤❤❤😂Danke. Fürs Senden ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Suenan cañon, muy bien , en ese año muy pocos quedaban activos de las bandas de los 60 ingleses.
😎
Let's go misfits ❤
Ich.Danke fürs Senden und Grüße aus Nordhausen ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤
Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel, Red Rider, Blondie, Johnny Cougar (their name at the time), Cheap Trick and Scandal were among opening acts when I saw the Kinks in either Kansas City or in Kansas City Kansas. I enjoyed all of them, with the exception of Johnny Cougar (who opened for the Kinks on two separate occasions). But I'm particularly grateful that didn't have to endure the band, Kansas.
I won tickets from an LA radio station cuz I called in w/ the correct answer of Apeman when the host played a bit on his acoustic guitar in the studio.
👍👍🍷🍾🍹🥃🍺🤩✌️
defiantly a monitor mix but a great convert none-the less
Who's on drums, Bob Henrit?
The Kinks, ELO and Kansas? That's a weird bill if ever there was one! (I saw Dylan and Santana together, that was pretty weird. And The Violent Femmes opening for The Grateful Dead!)
Dave is a great guitarist but let's face it, no Ray no audience. His songs, his personality.
Where's so Tired of Waiting for You?
Besides on their last live album To The Bone strangely enough they only played snippets of that song in the 70's and 80s and mostly in other songs. For example on the One For The Road Concert they played it in the song Sleepwalker, from 2:20 to 2:34 (ruclips.net/video/ifwNW0YHmcY/видео.html). Too bad, because together with Come Dancing it was their biggest hit in the USA and scored everywhere else also very high.
Please get back together before it's too late.
Yes too late for me😃 pls. come to Ottawa.
Were Ray Davies and Robben Ford a case of separated at birth?
🍻
Dave is a fenomenal guitar player
