How brilliant is Ray Davis amazing.❤How many great beautiful songs he has given to this world. We are blessed to have lived in the times when these songs were written and performed by the Kinks to make us dream and hope...
Davies! and Celluloid Heroes!
God bless sir ray
First time hearing tourist. I but I know exactly what he's talking about. My experiences as a tourist there was a bit different. I walked all around that City and one day I ended up in a rougher neighborhood. I wasn't nervous but a very nice old lady recommended that I get on a bus and that she made sure I got on the right bus.
Great song though
That was the most beautiful version of Waterloo Sunset I think I’ve ever heard. He himself was in great voice during the choral-assisted section.
Что там говорить на только гениаленРэй иДэй супер они в тандеме сказка,мне72 постоянно возвращаюсь к их творчеству❤( Михаил Файзулин) да хранит их Бог
Amazingly concert - the kinks are so underrated to this day!
Wow as a kink fan i really appreciate that upload my friend .
Ray & Dave Davies have written so many amazing songs. Phenomenal musicians who have influenced countless artists and musicians with there mega catalogue of work. The best band. My mother loved the kinks and the small faces. She had a big parker and was a real mod whose boyfriends all rode scooters. She has many photos from the 60s. She still has that 60s hair style
I'm giving you a hell yeah for that
Especially Ray wrote most of the Songs alone. He is one of my very big idols ❤
Ray is the ultimate singer and songwriter
En 68 un ami m'a fait connaître les kinks et je suis toujours fan à 73 ans. J 'ai un enregistrement d' un concert des kinks à la BBC date de 1973. Parfois je le regarde.
I saw Ray with this lineup at Town Hall in NYC, in 2009. What a joyous night of music. The entire audience joined in on every song. People who probably never met singing together along with this amazing performer like they knew each other for years. In my experience, Ray has always had the ability to captivate an audience. Thanks for reminding of that great evening, almost 14 years ago.✌🤗
Working mans cafe so good incredible writing
Come on @BBC , FFS - issue this on Bluray!
Until 2014 Ray performance was amazing
God save The Kinks and Ray Davies.
This concert is just AWSOME... A1+++++
Beautiful & Brilliant
Bill Shanley s unique style to play is awesome
I remember this broadcast. A half dozen songs were broadcast on TV in HD. Then the entire set was on the website in this this muddy, below standard definition, which I quickly downloaded. But I hoped eventually they would link or release a high def version. Sad, because this was a incredible performance.
Wonderful - should be more Kinks about!
Boy was I right in backing him since 1964
great concert, best ever! wish the bbc would would finally broadcast it in best quality?
They did...edited
@@ZachKopkaZake yes i know, want the full concert though like this.
Sweet. My cousin was inte band
How great
Great gig. Thanks for posting. Nelson and Starr.
Shiny band. 3 vocalists can’t match the background vocals of Dave and the late GREAT Jim Rodford. This is very much a salute to The Kinks by the legendary Ray Davis and an able and large backing band.
The live band of 80’-90’ filled arenas and was not to be trifled with. Buy the live album “One For The Road.” Incredible.
One would have to Wiki that...I'd guess around 150. They are re-releasing a lot of them right now, and Dave is out there promoting them on socials. I doubt we'll ever see a proper tour again, but as they are both alive, my guess is we may get to see some type of one-off performance at some point. They are on good terms now (fought like dogs most of their lives).@JhonnyCash-mo2wx
Excellent Gerard 🏴
Thank you for sharing! Love this concert.
Yes, good sound, professional. Dynamic. That guy knows how to get things going/rocking.
London vs Liverpool? Who wins?
Ray wrote some of the most amazing songs of his generation but The Kinks, in the end, were never truly 'top tier' as a band because of Ray's concept of 'Everybody's In Showbiz' - clearly shown here!
Thank you very much for this video. 👍🏻👏🏻
What a great performance and with an excellent setlist. There is only one negative point to mention: Dave is missing on guitar!
Great concert - thanks for sharing!
The full broadcast
Fantastický!!!
Was "The 88" the backing band here?? If so, check out their releases... excellent.
God save the kinks!❤️
schöner lokschuppen ! feiner chor......
Fantastic concert.Is it on
CD or vinyl anywhere
There's a 17 years younger me somewhere in that audience.
I'll confess all of my sins after several large gins
And joins.
Enjoying this, but why are all the adverts right in the middle of the songs, for f*ck's sake!
Transfer the concert to RUclips music, then no ads. Easy.
@@yesman2755 Isn't RUclips music only ad-free if you pay for it?
It woulda happened to the stones if Mick wouldn't have went to that British business school
whos the kid?
You know it could a been that the Britt's could a been up there with the rolling stones but their manager screwed em
horrible video quality; thanks anyway
You should've had dave there....his voice really compliments these classic songs
