Every hair on his arms has an own brain wich can play a little guitar... wohhh, Satch Boogie - how crazy - Joe said once, he was on medic ... I belive... and love it...
Joe plays like a man that's thoroughly enjoying his life and great for him. He's earned every bit of his success through the decades! Thank You for posting.
Joe is still happy to play guitar...being on stage...just like in the '80...He's so fresh, he never played a title without all his soul in it. Joe is really like the teenager he was when he's got his guitar in hands... HE BECAME A TRUE LEGEND.❤😊👍🤩😍🎸🎼🎵🎶🎵🎶🎸
Gotta say, I've watched a few million hours of Satch the alien play his heart out over the years but this one is a highlight so far along in his career. Totally on point and really looks like he's enjoying what he's doing, no going through the motions crap with this guy. Got his signature on my wall and couldn't be prouder. Just want Engines part two, life complete.
Love the fact when he writes a "song" its actually a song and he sings the vocal line with his guitar - he writes/plays for the song! This separates the boys from the men! Master talent and truly a master of his instrument and song writing - when you hear the first bar of one of his songs you know its him. He can easily "shred" just as fast as anyone and knows all his scales, patterns etc. but that aint what he does and I LOVE it!
100% agree. If someone asks me who my favorite singer is, I can easily answer Joe Satriani.. His guitar and melodic musical arrangements are incredible..

He's been an inspiration for me when I started playing the guitar and later on when I started building guitars as a hobby. Hope to see you rock in Greece soon !
You are speaking of technique and believe me, Joe is technically far behind a lot of players. That doesn't make him a lesser guitarist or songwriter but on a pure technical level he is not near the top.
DeadMike- your live shows are outstanding. I just went from Jeff Beck to your list and was blown away. I have my homework assignment. Great sound and video. 🕉 Thank you Joe's music and playing is so beautiful. 🔥

Holy friggin' crap!! Awesome quality and incredible performance! It's extremely difficult to believe and fathom that Joe is 66 years old.... He looks like maybe 50, tops. It's sad to realize he's really that old.. I am hoping maybe to see him live at least once, but I fear that I may not ever get the chance. But anyways, thank you for uploading this show, video quality is exceptional and audio is pretty great too!
I saw Joe with Stu Hamm and Jeff Campitelli in the early days (solo) and then G3, 1st w/ Eric Johnson and Steve Vai. Later saw him with Yngwie, Paul Gilbert, John Petrucci and Paul Gilbert. 66 isn't old yet, Steven Tyler is 75 and starting the last Aerosmith tour on SEPT 02 Saturday 07:00 PM in Philadelphia, PA Wells Fargo Center-PA Aerosmith: PEACE OUT The Farewell Tour with The Black Crowes 9/2/23 - Tickets are reasonable. Astonishing and truly virtuosic. Maestro Satriani carries it off with the style of Paganini and the humour of Rossini. Always exciting and with a smile too. 🎶❤️⭐👍

The first two songs I ever heard on the radio by Satch were Summer Song and Crush of Love. This was over 30 years ago, and the guy is still as amazing as ever. And folks this is the same legend that taught Steve Vai and Kirk Hammett.
JOE SATRIANI, com certeza está entre os dez melhores guitarristas do mundo. Muito bom. Espetacular. Dá gosto de ouvir e assistir seus shows. P A R A B E N S via Brasil.
Saw Joe way back in the 90's in Toronto at The Government before it closed. That looks like Bryan Beller playing bass. Amazing Aristocrats performance here on youtube. It's called 'Boing, we'll do it live' w/ Guthrie Govan and Marco Minneman
I remember seeing Joe in the late 80's when he first started touring. He's still one of the finest today. But, I think for his age maybe we should call him "Uncle Joe"!? 😜
I've always preferred Joe over Vai. Vai always seemed the prima donna and I am really turned off by his whammy slammy style. I cannot see any prima donna image conscious player doing a goofy funny song like "The Phone Call". Joe's playing has always stuck me as more melodic than Vai.

The Jedi Master! In my opinion probably the best guitar player on the planet. I have seen him a couple of times and he was beyond awesome.
Picked up Surfing With The Alien off the shelf in late 1980s. Didn't know who he was. The best musical purchase I ever made.
That actually is a cool story bro.
Joe Satriani is my biggest influence in my playing. Even i named son Satriani to honour him 😉👍❤
Way cool!

Satriani is a great song writer. Such flavourful melodies. No wonder surfing with the Alien was a household album. Oh yeah, and a kickass player

Awesome as always. And one killer band with Aronoff, Thistlethwayte, Beller. Wow.
I thought that was Rai !! I recognised him from Louis Cole's band.. thanks for confirming
I believe that somewhere in the world, there are people who feel the same emotions that I feel when I listen to masterpieces like this song.
I think he is the supreme philosopher in the guitar world
Joe is a guitar god. His commandment of music rivals the best Violinist in the NY Symphony.
You are speaking of technique and believe me, Joe is technically far behind a lot of players. That doesn't make him a lesser guitarist or songwriter but on a pure technical level he is not near the top.
I could enjoy this show in Madrid this June, Joe and this band are really good playing.. fantastic..
He's utterly....
Fricking Amazing!!
When you are an instrumentalist and your music has the ability to rock on like Satch! You have talent and your music is legendary!!
Let's just simplify this...... Pele had his boots,Leonardo his pencil...and Joe.... God with a guitar !
Love that piano guy, he brings a lot of colors and freshness to the band.
Yup..Right with you....He also plays some good guitar as rhythm/support to Joe. Who is he?
