- The AMG GLC 43 has NEW changes for 2020. Under the hood is a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 that pumps out 385HP & mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox. It gets the power to the ground through Mercedes' 4Matic AWD system. The GLC 43 features a revised front fascia, headlights and tailights. On the inside there is an all new infotainment system, and other find touches. Is the updated 2020 Mercedes AMG GLC 43 a BETTER performance SUV you should buy?

Super nice. The one thing that always impresses me on Mercedes is their fit & finish. Everything is precise, no slack, no free play in the suspension or the inteior. Everything is tight & quality.

I love my 18 Joe. The car you are reviewing clearly doesn't have the PE (performance exhaust). Nevertheless, I am a fan of MB's understated treatment just not a fan of the lifted sedan look (make mine a wagon/SUV). Car looks much better without the running-boards and glad I did not opt for those. If you are smart and buy it at the proper time you can get this thing for $25-$30k less than a 63. Nevertheless, this car does not compete with the 63 but if you really don't need the exclusivity of a hand-built V8 with extra maintenance cycles then you should be looking at this as an option if in the market for a sporty SUV. Car is legit in real-world traffic and more than you would ever need from a power stand-point. Captain -Content is killing-it !!
Gipsy Avenger with the money you save over a 63, a tune from AMR will have you leaving one in the dust!

Hey Joe you're right to zonk it for the rear hight but German engineers thought so too. The silver button on driver side in the back lowers the rear. (One does seats on driver rear and one does height) 👍👍

So Raiti this is dope, because it has the beautiful Mercedes styling, that impressive 0-60 (4.6 seconds just .2 seconds slower than a SRT Durango) and it's awd so it grips. I've never driven one but this sounds like a hell of a vehicle.
I actually own the 2021 glc 43 and have never got 4.6 before worst I got is 4.4and best 3.9 with brake boosting maybe 2021 is faster

I totally agree on the zonks. A running board on a vehicle like that? And the plastic fender trim, just doesn't fit on an $80,000 car. That being said, the exterior styling is spot on and I really like the interior as well. I would probably go for the 2020 BMW X5 with the M50i trim, 523 hp.

Joe, a fairly new subscriber here and been loving the videos. I'd low your videos to have higher resolution than 1080p though, 1440p or higher cause they're looking a little blurry compare to a lot of other channels. Just a thought. Keep up the good work.

The glc is my dream car other then the c300. I priced at my local dealership for the best low lease for a 2020 model and got 8000k down and $367 per month.

The GLC looks good my only two issues are with the column shift I'm not really a fan of that. Also I like the other style mouse pad that was in previous generations models.

Why zonk the flat black panel around the wheel well? Isn't that plastic supposed to protect the body paint from rocks and debris getting kicked up by the tires. If so the flat black panel doesn't deserve a zonk Joe. It's there to protect the body paint.

My problem with German cars like Benz and BMW is that with all the fancy innovations, good ride and comfort, and great performance; all I can see is nothing but trouble from Vehicles that are extremely unreliable and high dealer repair costs. So I could only think of owning one of these under a Warranty Programme. Why should expensive brands not focus on reliability? To go back a little in History; when the Japanese went to GB to study how cars are made and GB's automotive helped them to get started, the Japanse cars that arrived in GB had two distinct differences. One; the equipment that was optional in GB cars such as heaters and radios was standard on all Japanese Cars. Two; you expected GB cars to break down, something the Japanese cars never did. I also refer you to the MK5 Supra which is a BMW. The finished product presented to Toyota could not pass their reliable standards or Quality of Service. Parts had to be rebuilt several times before Toyota was satisfied. No wonder German cars are so unreliable; its really no longer in their DNA.

Do you mean here as in the US? Everything I've read states that Audi America says we won't get either RSQ3 variant. Unless they've changed that and you can give a link, that'd be sweet as hell. I'd love an RSQ3 Sportback!

Rumors are AMG is abandoning bi-turbo V8 engines in the coming years. You might wanna review the GLC 63 before it's too late! And not the coupe version which looks like a turtle. The regular SUV body-style is best! Great review as always!

I think I'd opt for a Porsche Macan GTS. Less power than the GLC 43 AMG but excellent handling, feel and interior feels a cut above.

Macan GTS is significantly more expensive.
It’s a great looking car, however I wont buy one until the new screens arrive. Hopefully they will push the horsepower close to 400 hp
