You installed the rubber mounts upside down. The side that has a radius (for the pigtail to route through should be down rail side ) and the switch side has 45 degree corners at one end that match the profile of the switch installed properly it's a very tight fit and secures the pigtail very nice.
He just don't have the 1913 rail area for the mounts. They work well on mine also. He can order the additional rail to add to his mlok system to make it work.
My AR came with the light and pressure mount already installed. It took a bit to get it off because I wanted to move it to a different position. I can not get them to latch as well as they previously were. I still haven’t decided that it’s where I exactly want it but when I do I will use zip ties as well to make sure it stays secure.

3M tape is very strong. People use it for gopro mounts. They only remove with heat. I got this light for my Beretta 1301. The forend doesnt have Mlok so im using the 3M tape for the switch.
WTG man I love your setup. I have a Aero Atlas S one rail as well and just purchased the streamlight R1 to mount on it. I went with the R1 because of the duel fuel option and 350 lumens is more than enough for indoors and out to 200yds. Keep the reviews coming!
Good review bro! That is a very good light. For the switch attachment to the rail - just drill out the holes on switch to fit M LOK srew size and just M LOK switch to rail - easy DIY moment (high five)
GingerSnap/ I bought my Pro Tac from Cloud Defense & got there Kit in black which is around $179 other colors are a little more. The colors come in FDE, ODG to name a couple, that's including the light & mount. They have a great mounting system for the Pic rail on top. I didn't care for the system that came with the StreamLight, also I got an Arisaka angle mount which they have different styles for KMOD & MLOK & Pic rails. I like how you explained the programing of the light.👍

Good review. I'm surprised your pic rail rubber mounts are so loose, I use that method to mount mine, and they are super tight/solid to the switch and the rail.
Right on, mine as well. They fit a spec pic rail firmly, but I imagine a pic rail section as he has there isn't a spec piece and likely shaved for weight saving.
@@CreativeNameStudios you had them upside down. they snap on and are actually kinda tough to get off. They've been solid for me. good review.. i purchased the bcm mount

Love my HL-X! Arisaka inline to put it more forward on an sbr with lil rail space. Shaffer mlok button mount ($35). And I just seen a guy on RUclips drill the holes out just a touch and out mlok nut/bolt right through each end hole and that on mlok rail! So lo pro!!! But I do have the cable control plate under my Shaffer touch pad mlok mount. About 1/2”-5/8” thick above rail plus touchpad thickness. Works great and under $200 altogether. I got the 88071 model that comes with an 18650 rechargeable and also uses cr123’s! I’m wondering if I can put a “jack cap” on it and get another button on the back of the light itself along with the 2 button touchpad? Anyone know??

This is what a lot of people were saying about the rubber mounts. Not a big deal to me either way since I didn’t plan on using them. Thanks for the input though!
Great review, man. I’ve been looking into these. Specially the HLx. The RM2 seems like a good option as well. However I read and saw some videos that these SL are known to flicker when the light is on and the gun is fired. Thats a no go for me. Buut still doing my homework on it. Thanks, man!
@@CreativeNameStudios welp. Got the HL-X (review on my channel) I am using the rubber pic pressure pad mounts and mine hold on TIGHT didnt even use zip ties. I took the light out for some low light training and I’m really diggin the light.
Correct the lens with defiantly get a lot of carbon buildup and could be damaged. I would rather use the light this way and risk damage than have a shadow of the muzzle in my field of view when trying to see in the dark. A little bit of give and take. Just my preference. I appreciate your comment!
Personally I've found that any shadow caused by a muzzle device to be so minimal that it's a non-issue. However, an alternative solution would be using a linear/blast-foward comp.
@@jeeplifedeana4747 it seems as though the color temp of that light is a little more yellow compared to other leds, like my rail mount 2. Sounds to me like you have a normal operating light

This paired with the Bcm surefire mount and cloud defensive pressure pad mount make for an amazing little package.
The little picatinny mounts for the switch work well. When you put the witch in them, they add pressure onto the rail and wedge in well.

I have mounted on the bottom side of the handguard, 6:00 position attached to the mlok.
Mounting my streamlight on a 10” ultra slim handguard I used the sticky adhesive then secured the pressure pad with zip ties. So far so good. 🤞🏾
The mounts for the pressure switch work very well in my opinion and they have a slot to secure the cable they keep it very clean

Those rubber pieces that attach to the rail actually fit very snug. You have them upside is the problem.

Will the PRO TAC 1000 lumen work with the BCM MOUNT
Do they make a tailcap to attach this to a Unity TAP pad?
They make their "Jack Cap" that fits it with a plug & button.
