I dont agree that the last image lacked depth. Maybe lacking the oumph, but not depth. And I too was stunned by the drone shot when you arrived at the summit. Wow!
Jesus! At the start it looked like you were just hiking up a little hill! But the drone shot at the top! WOW, what views and you're way way up there! Beautiful.
Great Video Thomas 3:19 love the foggy whisps in front to the mountains, 5:46 classic Heaton square crop, 13:28 cracking location worth and return, thanks for sharing
The drone footage was astoundingly good and so well integrated into the story. Made me a bit queasy seeing you on that mountain top. Whatever happens with the photos, the stories are great. Thanks for taking us along with you.
Thanks for a great video Thomas - I've been up that mountain from the east, and also had no light, but the views are spectacular! I think it's one of the closest mountains to the sea in the whole of the UK. I love your Scotland trips - great images or not!
Might not have been the sunset you hoped for but you still you continue to motivate others to get out of bed and go see these amazing landscapes! Keep up the good work mate, look forward to the next video!
Hi Tom, Yet another fab vid with excellent pix. Thank you. Love your RAW / Finished style of recent times - I really appreciate those because they let me see how your vision finally shapes the images. Thank you for all the vids this year and since you started (you asked who had been here from the start t'other day - I'm one. I well you remember your prepping your bag etc in your former house, too). Anyway Happy Crimble 2024 and a happy and healthy 2025. All the best, Cheers.
Capturing the right fleeting moments Nature gives you is aways a challenge technically. But finding it at all and being there to capture it is 90% of the challenge in landscapes. If left to luck, it would be rare. You do the work to figure out when it is likely to happen, to be there, and then capture its beauty. That is why I watch your channel for inspiration.
Thank you for another great video Tom, I have watched your channel for many years now and have always enjoyed your content, I would love to say I have learned from you but alas I am still crap at photography, I would just like to wish you and your's a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
Loved the story telling in this one Tom, 2 beautiful images to set the scene and then your ascent 3 days later with the drone vista really rocked a Highlander vibe. Hopefully you get the image you're after when you return again in the future
Yes but he dropped the "Absolutely Stunning" quite some time ago, alas. Perhaps my fav is "Thomas Heaton - Master Photographer." (See the South American video, shot largely by Greg Snell (Another fab YT channel, by the way), from a few years ago - on this T Heaton channel.) Cheers - or Bore da!
Persistence pays. Tip for Windy: check high mid and low cloud layers, and several weather models. What you see at first won't be the whole story. In April I was determined to drive up to the north of Maine for the eclipse despite a snowstorm and you know what? The day of, it not only cleared, we had the only view in all of the US with clear skies and those skies were uncharacteristically cloudless. Not even a puff. Believe.
The drone shot was incredible, no wonder you went back up! Maybe you will get the light the next trip 🙂. Since next week will be very busy, I would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas 🎄
Tom, you are showing that it takes effort to get great shots and to have a hope of getting these shots you have actually put some effort in. But you may not be rewarded by your effort on any given outing. But persistence will reward those who take the effort.
The drone sequence was worth the climb. Can you pull one of those frames and make a credible still from it. Your weather there looks like our weather here today. Heavy overcast with mist drifting in the air and 46F with a much colder cold front moving in. I think I'll just stay inside and enjoy my photography trips vicariously. Thanks, Thomas.
frankly forget positivity, that weather app wrong info. must've been bloody annoying. yes, it wasss a bummer that there was no light. still, as you said, a beautiful outdoors experience, and in a magical place.
Maybe some of us love this month-on-month, year-on-year dark-grey drabness. It's the joy of the British landscape. Who needs Morocco's fantastic sunshine? Grrr! Drab grey for me every time (I don't have much option!)
I dont agree that the last image lacked depth. Maybe lacking the oumph, but not depth.

Those drone shots brought a tear to my eye. Unbelievable b roll Tom!

Happy Holidays @ThomasHeaton to you and your family!
That drone footage 10 minutes in was amazing the view was spectacular and Thomas stood heroically at the top 👌Epic
Oh man, I'm so glad you got the view 😍 the fiddler is hard to beat for a sudden, dramatic view! Incredible shots as well ❤
The last shot is epic in my book
I do love that shot of the islands

Thanks Thomas, great stuff like always!!

ah, nothing better than beautiful dreary conditions!

Nice images and great hike!
I like the threeislandphoto very much. Thnx
Great Video and great images on the way up the mountain as you said. Really enjoyed it as always👍🏻

I was wondering how you were going to make a photo on this dull, monochromatic day, but you did it, twice. Good job.
Excellent info! Thanks for taking me along!
Amazing drone footage!
I was there in May in the most fantastic conditions. A1 print framed up on my wall. One of the finest viewpoints in Scotland. Sorry you missed it.
We’re playing Thomas Heaton bingo. “I’m going to go for a square crop”!!
Another great video

3:20 - this was what the Xpan was made for.

Great video Tom.
Excellent video like all of them. Thanks for the Spanish dubbing. Greetings
Great Drone work
Holy S--T. That drone video was awesome.
I'd settle for any one of those images thanks😉
Great video even though the light didnt show up 👍🙂

Sometimes the weather just want to cooperate. Have to do the best you can.
Sooner or later, it will happen. Carry on. 👍🥂
3 days wait! wow....

I like the last image the most. Shame about the sky - and that it looks like a giant, dead, sand-swept elephant. Apart from that, banger.
Thanks for another great video. But can't find the mpb link.
Thomas, did you see anywhere to wildcamp near the top of Fiddler ?
Persistence is required for life, bro
Love the brutal reality of Scottish weather forecasts 😂

Shoot the fog, it is beautiful there. Look past your preconceived notion of what is amazing, and shoot the light in clouds.
Hi Thomas would you be able to share which weather apps you are using mate.
I used Weather & Radar and Windy 👍
Out of curiosity Thomas... have you gave up on IR? I would try it on these cloudy days. Could work.
Which weather app were you using?
What’s that weather app that was used ?
I used Weather & Radar and Windy 👍
come to mrocco where whether is best

I'm 5 and a half minutes in, and wondering why "Panoramic" never crossed your mind.
Alas not three minutes later you said that word!
@@JXS63J See you're ahead of your time :)
Your skills speak for themselves, but I feel like this is the Emperor without any clothes. I don’t care for this Landscape.
Thank you Romans 10:9-13❤
Those drone shots brought a tear to my eye. Unbelievable b roll Tom!
