Personally I feel that because Kristina is so influential that makes the comments from others even more valid.
She's basically sending a message to her fans that it's ok for vegans to wear leather. Basically lowering the bar when vegans have worked so hard to raise awareness to the cause.

As a passionate vegan I want to say in the past I used to lack compassion towards my fellow vegans if I strongly disagreed with something they promoted or said but over time I came to realise that all the nasty and egotistical things that are thrown around are just a reflection of self.
I'm as sensitive as you are Kristina and I know it's easier said than done but try not to absorb everyone else's problems.
There's a lot people out here that know you have done more for veganism than most of the people on this planet. Don't ever forget that.

Hey what if, she borrowed those shoes from a friend? Or she shopped at a thrift store for those shoes? You never know. Also, literally, 98% of the cruelty of animals is from diet. Yes, of course buying new real leather is still cruelty. However, give her the benefit of the doubt first. Never just assume. 😀🤗

Also, when I read your comment under her post I went to her channel and the first video I saw was her reading comments while driving, her eyes were off the road and reading!!! girl, there are no fresh grown veggies/fruit up here in Canada in January haha. Everything comes from somewhere else---it is really hard to buy locally if you're eating mostly raw food and not artisanal cooked food.

Ok. I don't usually comment on Kristina's videos because I am not vegan. I just enjoy the health tips (except for the recent antivax bs) and recipes. However, I feel like even if she is vegan for health reasons and it has nothing to do with her wardrobe choices, people deserve to know. Hell, I want to know. Is that bracelet leather? Is your heinous blue eyeliner animal tested? Do you secretly inhale bacon cheeseburgers?

sunsets sandlands Her weight fluctuation seemed like it was a one time fluctuation. Like, it increased one time; once she started her period, she went from a young woman's body to a woman's body. Makes sense, considering that's what happened...

I think that in the bottom of your mind, it's actually not mainly about the leather; it's actually only a small part of it.
You see it as a chance to bully someone without the need to feel guilty. You use this 'vegan' term as a shield to cover yourself, coward.
What I see is that you use this 'vegan' term as a society status, something to classify yourself with, your identity. And of course people that use it as an identity will degrade the others to make him or her self better. Just like what you did to Kristina.
Feel happy now that you ruined someone's life ? Feel happy now that you made somebody feel crappy just like you ? Feel happy now that you made her become miserable just like you ?
By all means, I respect the real vegan people, those who know what it means to be vegan, to approach in the peaceful and constructive way. Someone that knows better about the true purpose of being vegan.
But all of these 'vegan' bullies that use that term to shield yourself ? You are the reason people hate vegan. You are a disgrace. Don't disgrace the 'vegan' term as your shield to bully the others.

I must say verry mutch respect for you kristina I am a lupus patiënt and I must say you realy inspired and helped me on my way of healing next mounth I em going to dou a cleansing diet by dr sebi whit some herbs recommended to reverse lupus and im planning to dou a 23 to 40 day juice cleanse for maart (aprill) and I must say you have helped me the most in switching over from diarydiet whit meat to fully raw vegan im not a fully raw yet but next mounth i will start officialy fully raw thanks for all the great knoledge piece 👍keep it up

What foods will you eat in case of emergencies, such as having a need to evacuate in case there is a bad storm, or other reason that much of the fresh produce is not available?
BJ House if she had to evacuate she'd know ahead of time and could prepare. either finding a place and going there with her food or just bringing coolers with icepacks to store it. otherwise if you shelter in place (hunker down as we say in houston) and lose power then you can use a generator to power stuff.
(sent too soon dang it lol) as for after she ran out of the food she had they'd probably just buy on a day to day basis. We don't get too many disasters here in Houston.

MY PUBLIC APOLOGY: I am wholeheartedly sorry for the recent posts with the shoes and I understand how this has upset many of you.
I am infinitely grateful for being part of such a dedicated community and therefore appreciate all the comments I received in this regard.
The shoes were a gift and I'll admit that that night it didn't cross my mind that they had leather in them. I was carried away by spending time with my loved ones. That is obviously not an excuse and I should have known better.
I understand that it is my personal responsibility to always check where my products come from and while I haven't always done so, I promise that from now on I will. All I can do is apologize to you all and say that I should have known better and I will do better going forward.
There is nothing I can do at this point to undo what has been done, what I can do though is make sure this won't happen again and continue to inspire people to live a healthier lifestyle.
