Intro.
A. "The Sinner's Prayer" is a common Protestant denominational appeal and plan of salvation. It is often presented at the end of the service when people want to know how to be forgiven of their sins in order to be saved. The words may vary, but the elements are usually the same. The assurance is given that if they say these words sincerely, God will save them.
B. Where Did It Come From?

1. It is important to establish that the Sinner's Prayer is not from the Scriptures.
2. Nowhere in the New Testament is anyone told to pray to receive salvation and become a Christian.
3. Since the Sinner's Prayer doesn't come from God's Word, it must have originated with men. His motto: Saving souls $2 per. person. In the 1900s, that was a goldmine!
Dead sinners can't make themselves alive. So, reciting the made up self-determination salvationalist evangelical charismatic Arminianist/ Semi-Pelagisan theology sinners prayer does nothing but glorify thyselves. 👍

I don’t know about that. You can’t just live your life in sin and at your final moment call on Jesus and be saved… I think faith is a big part of it, and good works, and repentance. Not just words said when you’re scared and dying.

His design was only to show how God completes our salvation, even when he makes faith, which he implants in our hearts, to show itself by confession. There are many verses in both the Old and New Testaments that speak of election, and, when one looks at all the Bible teaches about election and predestination, it becomes obvious that God's choice was not based on any foreseen act or response by us but is based solely on God's own good pleasure of His sovereign and free will. Created humans don't have free will.

Don't fall into the habit of trying to call out people for not using the exact words You want them to. God knows the hearts of man and can tell if OP is sure in their faith. We do not. However, from the statement OP typed, I can safely say that they mean it because they follow it up stating that they need Jesus' help to overcome sin and the blood. James 1:19 "Therefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;" We should build up each other, not try to tear them down.
We should say this often every day and every night as we do not know the date nor the hour that our Lord will call us.
We should live it not just say it.

This doesn't need to be said every day! Salvation is a gift that,once accepted is a done deal. It cannot be lost,destroyed,stolen. One is sealed & nothing can remove that person from the Lord's hand
