Jesus taught us to.pray the Our Father and in that we ask the Heavenly Father for forgiveness. We do need to be sorry and ask for forgiveness. That is why we have confession and contrition. Jesus commanded the apostles to hear sins from their followers and the sins they forgave would be forgiven. He also said the sins they did not forgive would not be forgiven.

I met an aunt I haven’t seen in a while today and told her everything I was going through, my business, marriage, children, also about other extended family. I basically downloaded everything. After I left, I heard the Holy Spirit say ‘you said too much’. And that was it. Put RUclips on now and this started playing, I was trying to watch something else and tried skipping but couldn’t. Waited a while and it hit me the Holy Spirit was speaking to me again. I had to ask for forgiveness. I broke all the rules stated here today. Lord, please forgive me and have mercy on me. I did the very same thing with someone myself yesterday. Afterwards I felt like I had grieved the Holy Spirit. I too needed to ask for forgiveness. It seemed that the Lord was asking me, “Am I not enough?” Is my crying out to Him about things that trouble me and the peace that He gives me when I trust Him with it all, not enough? That made me so incredibly sad and regretful. He is a good God.
I've spent a lifetime doing this. God has given me the thought to keep some things quiet, but in walks the enemy with a temptor. Either it seems to be a person who u think could be part of the bigger picture or maybe in family trouble someone who you can commiserate with. THEY ARE TRAPS! I believe many opportunities have been lost due to telling the wrong person. Keep it to urself for a very long time. We know God's nature & timing, it's much longer than ours! So there's our first clue. Also, in family or friend matters, the people u tell will ALWAYS use it against u when it's convenient for them. Remember the dark forces will first tempt u, then when u fall it accuses you!
I have some close family members who are very much into gossiping. It has grieved me many times and although I still love them I also keep a certain amount of distance from them. I’ve learned to pray that the Holy Spirit gives me just the right words around others. Something that I would like to share here is this: a number of years ago an aunt (who has since passed away) called me and revealed some very intimate details about her son in laws. She then proceeded to ask me details about my own life. I kept the conversation very general and revealed nothing of consequence to her. I also didn’t reveal the intimate details that she told me to my nosy other family members since that would have just given the enemy a way to cause trouble in my cousins marriages. Some months later, my aunt called again and complained to me that she never heard from me (hinting that I should have called her). I said that I was busy with my life, working full time, etc. I’m so thankful that the Holy Spirit instructed me to keep distance from certain people (both family members, coworkers and neighbors). Not everyone has our best intentions for us. Many people are weak minded and jealous and love to hear bad news only to pass it on to others because that way they can somehow feel important and relevant in this world. God bless everyone reading this message and remember that whatever you share with the Lord Jesus is always kept confidential.

I fought against my parents telling me not to share personal business. They told me that not everyone is my friend, and some of my so-called girlfriends were jealous of me. I couldn’t imagine that. I shared everything. I thought that we should trust our friends. Of course my parents were right. It took most of my life to understand this. I’ve suffered many betrayals. But, I’ve seen my part in them and forgive; but it’s never too late to learn. Every day, I learn how Jesus’ wisdom is the guidance we all need and people like Oprah Winfrey are the enemy. In those moments when you feel the need to not be silent talk to God! Speaking to God can take away that urge “I need to tell someone”. Sometimes silence is the best thing you can say.

I really needed to hear this this morning. I recently attended a women's Bible study and I was the only new woman there. Due to social anxiety which I keep struggling with, I ended up sharing too much and sharing some things about my life. I'm 58 & still struggle with extreme social anxiety due to traumatic bullying in grade school, which I'm continually praying the Lord delivers me from. Guess I was trying to connect with other women and how how the Lord has been working in my life but I talked too long and said too much. I can see now I should have remained silent and maybe in God's timing I can gradually reveal certain things if Spirit leads me to do that. Due to my oversharing I was afraid I set off a wrong vibe about myself and afraid the group leader would not invite me back but she graciously did and now I feel I have a second chance to follow these biblical truths about the wisdom of silence. mentioned in this video. God is teaching me the enemy is prowling around even in Bible study groups and we shouldn't be sharing things that are Not of the Lord's timing. 9:08
One of the most difficult thing for ppl is silence. It's like it's in our dna. When we r with people, talking must happen non stop. Just an idea, slow down when you speak, physically. Maybe it will help xalm the anxiety enough to where u can catch the over-sharing before it happens Also, just keep in mind, that the all day conversations the ladies would have while their husbands were at work, that hasn't been a thing in many years! Everyone who is NOT oversharing has too much on their plate. Maybe even like when you used to practice for a speech in school, practice create a lil intro for urself for when you meet new people. Keep this in mind, think about when we had to create outlines to write reports. Just the main topics please! We have to learn to keep our answers intentionally short. Let them ask questions and u answer briefly. I hope any of these tools can help you, it is hard when you have been so severely wounded and you just don't want to be the oddball, u want to be part of the group. The way through anxiety is desensitization! Face ur fears. Also living in the past is NOT living! Redirect ur thoughts to today. The best people I knew from the depression era NEVER spoke of their hardships. They lived for today! I pray any of this helps u!
As your brother in Christ I just wanted to let you know you are treasured, loved and appreciated. Sometimes talking about things that are troubling us helps us and makes us feel better, almost like therapy. A woman’s Bible study should be a safe place to talk and share. A place to encourage others and a place to be encouraged. That being said, there is surely wisdom in finding a proper balance and not over sharing especially details. I would encourage you with two things based on scripture. First, ask God for wisdom. James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God who gives generously to all without find fault and it will be given to you. I would encourage you to ask on a continuous basis and then choose to believe God is giving you wisdom. Second, speak good things, positive things about yourself and your life. Proverbs 18:21 Death and Life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Your words have power. You can even speak things (to yourself) that don’t seem true in the current circumstances, and over time, your continued positive words will change your future circumstances. Be blessed!

Sometimes I worry that I don't put forth enough effort to share who I am on a deeper level. People have accused me of being "stuck up" but that isn't it at all. I care deeply about people, and generally like the ones I meet, but I also know that my personal feelings, life situations, etc, are my business. I know how people gossip - I've heard it far too much in the workplace, and seen the evil glee in people's faces as they tell or hear tales about others. I've also been the victim of gossip/lies. In my "defense," I stayed silent and held myself above it. And prayed! Prayed a lot. Please don't gossip about people. It causes real harm to both yourself and to the ones you gossip about. Don't join in, unless it is in the defense of others. Friendship is like any other relationship - we should be faithful and true in _all_ of our relationships. Remember, friends: "If they'll do it *with* you, they'll do it *to* you!"

I have broken all those wisdom keys in the past ..but the Lord in his infinite wisdom opened my eyes about the people around me that i kept telling my business to .. The Lord have taught me to keep silent and have become very mysterious to family members now because they don't know my plan , my family's business anymore. Someone once said, "you never tell me things. If i would have known you were going through that i would have prayed for you." Prayer was not the reason this particular untrusting person needed to know. I realize the Holy Spirit had me keep quiet for this very reason. I have always considered myself weirdly private. This video is truly a gift to me. It validates my natural instinct, or it may be a learned behavior. My immediate and extended family are always prying for information. They immediately twist and manipulate my words and attack like hyenas do to a wounded wildebeest. Like clockwork, their actions are exact. I have peace keeping them at a distance, and they do not like it.
I am receiving. This has happened to me. I didn’t tell anyone abt a situation that happened and the minute I opened my mouth abt it to ppl I knew I wasn’t supposed to the warfare has been insane, but I will lean on God to help me. Lord help me control my tongue, and do not let the enemy harm me.💗

This is true. One thing to bear in mind, however, is that you'll pretty much be open to attacks whether you share your successes prematurely or not. Greatness alone, whether revealed early or late, will attract envy and detractors. One's position is never secure. All one can do is strive for mastery over one's thoughts. Epictetus was right: we can control our responses to outer situations, but not what other people think, say or do. At the same time I see the wisdom of being silent and sparing of words. Indeed it is better to remain quiet about our projects. Incidentally, it's not obvious that Joseph shared his dreams "prematurely". Sure, it stoked the fires of envy in his brothers. But remember: without their envy and had they not sold him as a slave to the Egyptians, he would not have become the 2nd most powerful man in Egypt. So envy and their actions were connected to his position and ability to help many during the famine.

This is true, I remember the time when I gave my life to Jesus,I felt a great weight being lifted off my shoulders, it was truly amazing, then I spoke to my sibling about it as I was so amazed😊, my faith and relationship with Jesus was in its stages on that day . Then suddenly I got addicted to this sin, that trapped me it made me distance myself from Jesus on so many occasions . How true those words were. If you want to succeed, plan carefully, and keep the secret between yourself and God, via Jesus Christ. Help as many people as you possibly can on your way up. If you apply those rules, you will never have to fear falling.

I couldn’t agree more with the importance of guarding our dreams and plans. This video reminded me of the times when sharing too much too soon led to unnecessary challenges. Silence truly does protect what God has planted. But it makes me wonder: How can we discern when it’s the right time to share our visions and plans with others?

The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. Very true. God told me this exactly. To not share Gods intimate whispers and intimacy with you is exactly that, your relationship is so sacred, so Holy and eternally precious to God at such a deep level that to share is akin to a man or woman sharing the intimacy of the bedroom with others. God treasures intimacy and the value we place on that. Sometimes we feel we want to share to bless someone or just to show off because of insecurity but for me it nearly got me thrown down a well like Joseph. I found people either jealous, cynical or just not at that level of intimacy. Im so glad God allowed my sharing to fall on deaf ears, i learned an awful lot. God initiates we maintain and remain faithful to him and ask Him for grace to keep thine trap shut. 🌱🙏😊

I can see now I should have remained silent and maybe in God's timing I can gradually reveal certain things if Spirit leads me to do that. Due to my oversharing I was afraid I set off a wrong vibe about myself and afraid the group leader would not invite me back but she graciously did and now I feel I have a second chance to follow these biblical truths about the wisdom of silence. mentioned in this video. God is teaching me the enemy is prowling around even in Bible study groups and we shouldn't be sharing things that are Not of the Lord's timing. 9:08

One of the most difficult thing for ppl is silence. It's like it's in our dna. When we r with people, talking must happen non stop.
Just an idea, slow down when you speak, physically. Maybe it will help xalm the anxiety enough to where u can catch the over-sharing before it happens
Also, just keep in mind, that the all day conversations the ladies would have while their husbands were at work, that hasn't been a thing in many years!
Everyone who is NOT oversharing has too much on their plate.
Maybe even like when you used to practice for a speech in school, practice create a lil intro for urself for when you meet new people.
Keep this in mind, think about when we had to create outlines to write reports.
Just the main topics please!
We have to learn to keep our answers intentionally short. Let them ask questions and u answer briefly.

As your brother in Christ I just wanted to let you know you are treasured, loved and appreciated. Sometimes talking about things that are troubling us helps us and makes us feel better, almost like therapy. A woman’s Bible study should be a safe place to talk and share. A place to encourage others and a place to be encouraged. That being said, there is surely wisdom in finding a proper balance and not over sharing especially details. I would encourage you with two things based on scripture. First, ask God for wisdom. James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God who gives generously to all without find fault and it will be given to you. I would encourage you to ask on a continuous basis and then choose to believe God is giving you wisdom. Second, speak good things, positive things about yourself and your life. Proverbs 18:21 Death and Life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Your words have power. You can even speak things (to yourself) that don’t seem true in the current circumstances, and over time, your continued positive words will change your future circumstances. Be blessed!

I don't tend to over-share, but the opposite ~ I tend towards silence, especially around new people.
Sometimes I worry that I don't put forth enough effort to share who I am on a deeper level.
People have accused me of being "stuck up" but that isn't it at all.
I care deeply about people, and generally like the ones I meet, but I also know that my personal feelings, life situations, etc, are my business.
I know how people gossip - I've heard it far too much in the workplace, and seen the evil glee in people's faces as they tell or hear tales about others. I've also been the victim of gossip/lies.
In my "defense," I stayed silent and held myself above it.
And prayed! Prayed a lot.
Please don't gossip about people. It causes real harm to both yourself and to the ones you gossip about. Don't join in, unless it is in the defense of others.
Friendship is like any other relationship - we should be faithful and true in _all_ of our relationships.

I have always considered myself weirdly private. This video is truly a gift to me. It validates my natural instinct, or it may be a learned behavior.
My immediate and extended family are always prying for information. They immediately twist and manipulate my words and attack like hyenas do to a wounded wildebeest. Like clockwork, their actions are exact. I have peace keeping them at a distance, and they do not like it.

This is true. One thing to bear in mind, however, is that you'll pretty much be open to attacks whether you share your successes prematurely or not. Greatness alone, whether revealed early or late, will attract envy and detractors. One's position is never secure. All one can do is strive for mastery over one's thoughts. Epictetus was right: we can control our responses to outer situations, but not what other people think, say or do. At the same time I see the wisdom of being silent and sparing of words. Indeed it is better to remain quiet about our projects.
Incidentally, it's not obvious that Joseph shared his dreams "prematurely". Sure, it stoked the fires of envy in his brothers. But remember: without their envy and had they not sold him as a slave to the Egyptians, he would not have become the 2nd most powerful man in Egypt. So envy and their actions were connected to his position and ability to help many during the famine.

This is true, I remember the time when I gave my life to Jesus,I felt a great weight being lifted off my shoulders, it was truly amazing, then I spoke to my sibling about it as I was so amazed😊, my faith and relationship with Jesus was in its stages on that day .
Then suddenly I got addicted to this sin, that trapped me it made me distance myself from Jesus on so many occasions .

Very true. God told me this exactly. To not share Gods intimate whispers and intimacy with you is exactly that, your relationship is so sacred, so Holy and eternally precious to God at such a deep level that to share is akin to a man or woman sharing the intimacy of the bedroom with others. God treasures intimacy and the value we place on that. Sometimes we feel we want to share to bless someone or just to show off because of insecurity but for me it nearly got me thrown down a well like Joseph. I found people either jealous, cynical or just not at that level of intimacy. Im so glad God allowed my sharing to fall on deaf ears, i learned an awful lot. God initiates we maintain and remain faithful to him and ask Him for grace to keep thine trap shut. 🌱🙏😊
