  • Are you curious if the 2024 Subaru WRX trims are worth the extra money? In today's video, I break down the prices of all WRX trim levels, including the Base, Premium, Limited, TR, GT, and TS. We dive into what each trim offers and determine if the price differences are justified or if you might be overpaying for minimal added features. Watch to clear up any confusion you may have about each version of the WRX and decide if you're getting the best value for your money or if the extra trims are a waste of your money. Watch this analysis before making your next car purchase!
    Before You skip through the video, understand that each car when I am explaining what is added, it is assumed that the features from the Cars before it are already added and we're telling the difference from the closest model to the model we're complaining. Also all models are priced out with manuals except the GT.
    Time Stamps:
    0:00 - Intro/ Standard Features
    1:52 - Base Model
    2:19 - Premium
    4:00 - Limited
    5:52 - TR
    7:45 - GT
    8:50 - TS
    9:55 - Launch Edition?
    11:17 - Mods with extra money

    I bought a 2024 WRX Premium recently. Bought it during the Memorial day weekend sales which included 2500 off + another 1500 off. Pretty good deal on it.. Been super happy with the VB (came from a 15 VA WRX Limited).
    Steering responsive headlights was not available on my Premium. On the Limited, yes. Those upgrades you talked about adding to a base or Premium would be nice.. but you're basically losing your warranty. Some people don't care about that, I get it.. But myself, I'm keeping the full warranty intact for the stuff that matters. Exterior/interior cosmetic upgrades I've already done.. warranty still gtg! Now, I may get that itch to start really getting into modding (Intake/upgraded TMIC/pro-tune/etc..), but for now, I'm not touching those areas.. 🤘

    • @StreetInspired1
      @StreetInspired1  Месяц назад +3

      I did see that, I downloaded a PDF from subaru, and it listed the SR Headlights as standard on the premium, but the website says it's not. That's where the confusion was. And for sure! To each their own and everyone has a different mod path. There is nothing wrong with keeping the engine untouched for the warranty. The car performs great from the factory, unlike the previous generation!

    • @Antykain
      @Antykain Месяц назад +1

      @StreetInspired1 I wish the premium did come with those steering responsive headlights and/or the headlights that come standard on the Limited+ trims.. they look sick! Also, I would have thought the VB platform might have more aftermarket options for the headlights by now.. but it seems Subaru may have some propriety bs in there or something. Circuit Demon does have full retrofit available.. 🤔

    You forgot the Harmon Kardon audio system when discussing the options on the Limited.
    As for the other pricing, I think the car is a great value. Civic Type R, Corolla GR and Golf R are all more expensive. A comparable CT4-V blackwing is twice the cost of a TR but not twice as fun to drive as a daily. Depends on your perspective, it I think the WRX is worth it. You should price a new half ton truck with options on it if you want to see what being raked over the coals look like. Let’s be thankful a WRX with a manual even exists, because one day it won’t, for ANY price.

    • @StreetInspired1
      @StreetInspired1  Месяц назад +2

      I did forget that one. It was on my list, and I looked right over it. That is a solid upgrade over the oem system for sure. And I do think the car is a good price compared to other similar cars on the market. I was simply stating that some of the higher trim levels may not be worth the extra money for some people. A lot of people walk blindly into a dealership and don't know what each option is, and most salesmen shoot for the moon immediately without explaining the differences. I'm also very thankful for subaru keeping the manual around!

    Everything got more expensive, cars, houses, food, utilities, etc…… If you look at the base or premium prices, they make sense. Next step, if you check what would cost if you would add all the extra stuff that the higher trims have, you would be at the same price, plus it’s not including the extra work of the installation. So technically all WRXs have fair prices. The problem is, some people would prefer to spend the extra money on different parts and even the most expensive WRX doesn’t have the STi’s drive system.

For me, more comfortable and supportive than the others. I also like the moonroof and upgraded audio AND blind spot and rear cross safety alerts. Eye sight is annoying (my wifes ascent has it) and other than lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control its super invasive.. my 22 limited came with a clear bra, weather tech floor mats, sun roof, harmon kardon etc. I got all the goodies i wanted, that you coudlnt get on the premium previous to 24.. if i were to buy new, i think the premium with the moonroof, harmon kardon would be the best package.. you get the better headlights on the premium now standard it seems.

    They're doing more than scamming buyers... scamming them with all these different trims just delaying the inevitable.
    Base, Premium, Limited, GT, TR, and soon to replace the TR, the tS.
    No one asked for a CVT-only GT. No one asked for a Tuner Ready version, and no one was asking for a tS, although the digital gauge cluster is a really cool new addition, it's not the WRX people are asking for. The Subie enthusiasts want their WRX STI because that's all that matters and they should get it.
    Subaru either caves in and bring back the STI on this current gen platform of the WRX, which they have (had) a fully built production-ready vehicle ready to go and bring back the STI Division team to do their STI magic, or Subaru can kick rocks and not bother with a next gen WRX because no WRX or WRX STI enthusiast wants an all electrical STI, e-STI / STe, nor is asking for it either because it will not be a real STI and takes away what the STI stood for.
    VB gen STI or bust.

    i feel like this generation of wrx is heavily stinted by the loss of STI and that really isn't fair to wrx.

    Edit: the premium does not have steering responsive headlights according to subaru website. Yes, the wrx is a scam honestly. The base trim got the infotainment as the other trims and all got eyesight and thats worth and extra 2k over the 2023 base model. Absolutely ridiculous. I paid 26k OTD for my 2019 wrx base brand new. Tell me how a 2024 is over 33k

    In my opinion, I think the base, premium, premium with HK system, and TR are worth it. I don't think the limited or GT models are worth it.
    I think the tS shouldn't go past $45k.

  • @InstagramVBCarnage

    Eh, not everyone who buys a WRX is going to have the resources or knowhow to do upgrades themselves and the upgrades they would put on probably have warrantied work. A lot of the upgrades are reasonably priced and the suspension and steering in the TR and TS are noticeably better than the lower trims. The seats are more comfortable and the interior looks more upscale and you get pretty good, expensive tires and 19s. Yeah you can do all these things yourself but when Subaru does it you'll have a good ass warranty unless you add power mods. I think with the prices of cars trending up in general, the WRX is still a solid deal.

      I totally agree. Not everyone wants to modify their brand new car, in that case I think it's only right to buy the car that has everything you want, after all if you're already spending that much on a vehicle I don't see the har. In getting the spec you would rather have

    The trims are all structured poorly tbh in addition to being overpriced. There should be a Base, TR (Base + Brembos, Recaros, retuned dampers, optional HK audio), Premium = Limited features incl. HK audio, and tS (digital cluster, adaptive dampers + TR upgrades and HK audio).

    100% a rip off. They keep adding price when they aren't really adding features. The 2004 WRX has an MSRP around 24-25k. Besides for a few electronic goodies, what are you getting for 10k?

    I sold my 2023 WRX, it’s was tuned and everything, after spending thousands of dollars in engine and appearance mods, it still was ugly as hell…other things I didn’t like was the engine redline at 6100 rpm’s and the short gearing in the transmission… as soon as you start building boost you have to shift to the next gear, they couldn’t give the engine a redline to 7500 or 8000, it’s a fucking 4 cylinder lol….

    My 16 limited was 30k out the door. Tax and license.
    I couldnt imagine spending a penny more.
    Car prices are just nuts. When you have to lie to yourself and say things like, "600,700,800 a month is a good monthly payment..."
    How does a salesman even have the nerve to say that, "ok Sir, were looking at 798 a month for 84 months."
    Eventually, ill have to get a new car or at least a new one for my wife, and ill be complaining then too. Lol
