As a newbie to the industry it is easy to get blinded by the need to make everything perfect. But your videos remind me that is not always achievable, and time/budget constraints prevent it also. Thank you for keeping it real.

Been following you for years, Sandro, and I don't want to even think about what my 10 year old GT86 would look like if I had never found you. Thanks for always teaching and inspiring me to do better. Car still looks great thanks to you!
Just amazing work, Sandro! I mean, truly, truly amazing. You are without a doubt one of the best detailers I've ever seen anywhere -- probably THE best. Thanks for sharing what you do, my friend! I can't tell you how much I've learned from you, and it's much appreciated. 👍

I started a small detailing business 2 years ago. I have been filling your business practices with the idea of “protecting the vehicle” and taking every step to work on every detail. I currently have a stream of ceramic coating jobs and it’s my main income. Thank you, Sandro. Seriously
I’ve polished engine bay painted areas, but it never occurred to me that the plastic parts could be cleaned up with CarPro Essence+. 🌟 I learned something new, again, Sandro. 🏆
Hi Sandro, from the UK. Another reference video. A master class in the theory and practice of detailing and a joy to watch. Top drawer production values. The result was amazing with the 50/50 on the headlight being a particular highlight. Of all the detailers I have personally watched, IMHO only Jim White of White Details here in the UK comes close to this.
You really did one hell of a job on that R34 Sandro, one of the greatest Nissan's of all time! Thank you for always sharing your knowledge and years of detailing expertise with the rest of the world. I have learned quite a bit about taking my detailing to the next level based on your incredibly well detailed videos.
I just did a light polish on my car for a new coating. It's amazing what a difference between a well maintained car and one like you worked on when it comes to contamination. I used Iron remover and I had maybe 10 spots on the whole hood and fenders where here it's a sea of red. I have learned a lot from you, so Thanks!
It’s just so satisfying to watch a real pro at work, especially from a Weekend warrior like me. Such incredible talent, knowledge and patience. Oh well maybe one day -Not ❗️🤣
Just wonderful to watch. As always, the bar is the highest, the approach is the smartest, and the intent is clear. If anyone reading this is new to this channel, please subscribe and spend time going through Sandro’s catalogue. You will improve your own skills in very short order.
Hey Sandro, I love the car, I love the video and I love the music. I love to hear customer’s reaction as well and I am sure this helps a lot to make such a job again and again. Taillamps - I am sure they are my favorite (maybe not the best shape to polish 😊). That was cool to see the result by the way - car looks fantastic. Cheers from cold Sweden.
Absolutely amazing work! I wish I had the tools and time to do this. I'm never satisfied after using standard touchless washes or even a hand wash. I recently picked up a used Focus RS after totalling my brand new Toyota GR86 and whoever owned it before me knew nothing about how to take care of paint. Its swirled to hell and has some cracking on the front bumper 😢Hopefully I can get it restored to like new soon!
Thanks mate, sorry to hear about the GR86 - I’d love one of those! - but more importantly is that you walked away. The Focus RS is another amazing car, it’s a shame it wasn’t looked after well but I’m sure you’ll do great restoring it!
I will use this as inspiration for preparing my Seat Leon Mk2 for sale. It is in more rough shape, and needs bodywork I can't afford and would be pointless to do. But I will do everything possible to make it look more appealing to a potential buyer. It will not increase its value in any way, I will do it for my enjoyment, and entertainment.
There a real satisfaction in detailing a car that I think is reason a lot of detailers and detailing enthusiasts are drawn to it, I’m sure you’ll do great on your Seat and learn a bunch along the way.
Hello, Sandro i watch your Videos since 2020 the Nissan Pulsar full detailing. I learn so much form your, to change my technics and a become a Better Detailer. Your are the best Detailer Mentor of World.
This is hands down the best detailing video I've ever seen on RUclips. I salute you sir for the amazing job in restoring this piece of automotive history ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
fantastic restoration work Sandro, should be easy to sell with such a make-over. good thing to use with badges/emblems (get old polish residue from shut-lines too) is thick toothpick or bamboo food stick wrapped inside a MF cloth, to get all the gunk out with out any damage.
I have a plan now. Start a detailing business. Pour my heart and passion into it. Detail better and better cars. One day someone will give me a unicorn to detail. Hopefully an R34, maybe an NSX. Then I disappear, never to be seen again.
That was a heck of a transformation. Great work as always. I was surprised when you busted out the Boost V2. Can't say I had a great experience with it sadly. Tried adjusting my towel type, amount used, and work areas and it kept leaving oily streaks on the car that required a ton of buffing to get it off. The car has Ethos graphene v2 on it, and the original boost never did anything like that.
Thanks mate, appreciate it. I guess there’s potential issues with what you’re applying a sealant over and some don’t mesh together as well as others but so far Boost V2 has worked extremely well for me.
Good video Sandro...I normally stick to ph neutral (which I would recommend NV Snow foam i find this soap PH neutral and consistent formula) as much as possible but on rare occasion i use Alkaline base cleaners over Acidic and rinse 2-3 times because Alkaline is bad for aluminum if left our missed thoroughly when u rinse, Acidic cleaners promote rust and degrade the parts especially aluminum so i would er the side of caution when using Alkaline and Acid base cleaners and rinse at least 2 times. So to eliminate and clean the engine bay faster and safer i opted to use a steam cleaner with a just a cap of NV snow foam which is pretty much safe and also uses less water, breaks down oil, sludge and grime with minimal effort and most importantly it revives the plastics on the engine and surrounding areas. Dry ice is also a good cleaner but i sold mine because im in the market for a portable or mobile Dry Ice cleaner that has less moving parts needed to run.
Thanks for all you do, love that customer reaction, and the 40 hr comment on the time it took. With hard water removal on paint and glass I can spend 40 plus hours on some cars. Question: I’ve had some vehicles with soft clear, dark colors like black, where the hard water has been sucked down deep over time. Complete removal is very risky so I usually have a conversation about expectations. How do you handle these ?
Thanks and I’ll usually discuss realistic outcomes interns if serious defects, explaining that I’ll do my best to remove or get them to a less noticeable state but some my not be safe to entirely remove.
So nice. I love the exhaust tip cleaning. You got a detailed tutorial for that? Mine on my benz looks a bit.... U know... Since they are squareish its a bit difficult to get the blackning away.
Thanks but no dedicated video on the exhaust cleaning, though I’ve gone in greater depth with cleaning the tips on a few of my detailing vlogs - unfortunately can’t remember which ones 🙂
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing ok. Well i try to look some throu. I looked on youtube for videos to that but tbh no one really explain how to het them clean. I had befor black ones from benz but since its painted i didnt wanted to use a brush or somethin. And since it was getting ugly o bought the ones in chrome. (Thought it was easyer)
Christmas has come a few days early this year, for the owner of this car and your viewers as well. Amazing work, as always. Is that your 1988 Toyota Corolla Twin Cam in the background of the outdoor shots? If so, I would love to see it in one of your future videos. Thanks and enjoy your weekend.
Haha nice observation, yes it’s my 1989 4AGE Corolla- still needs some body work and paint before it’s ready for a proper detail, but it’s Slowly getting there. Thanks mate.
You’re pretty much on the mark there, but because this car presented the opportunity to produce some rich content I did go a little further than we discussed with the owner at my own expense, so he did get a great deal price wise 🙂
Thanks really appreciate that. I have and sometimes still used rotary brush attachments, they can be messy, slinging product and staining opposing trims - also too aggressive at times catching, twisting and pulling fibres out. But I think they have their place and can also be the best way to go at times - it just depends what the situation calls for.
Hey buddy, nice work on the R34. Yikes 84microns. Owner did not look after it ;( 40 hours looks about right, just the underbonnet and engine work would have been half a day.
Thanks mate and I think every Skyline I’ve done - which is quite a few now - have all had super low paint thickness readings, so although disappointing it was about right 🙂
As always top work and rebirth of iconic R34 is very satisfying to watch. Headlights looked especially bad - would you advice ceramic coating to protect them(1 year max in my experience) or maybe spray with 2k clear coat spray?
Thanks mate and adding a ceramic coating is definitely a good way to on on headlights, and yes a year is probably as long as you’ll last on the lights. You can certainly also clear coat them, but you just have to make sure you sand and leave 600 grit marks in the finish for the clear coat to effectively bond and it’s really best to cover the whole car in plastic as overspray will go every where.
A quick question, Sandro. The NV products can be a bit hard to find here in the USA. Would it be acceptable in your opinion to use CarPro TRIX in place of the initial pre-spray of NV Purify, and then CarPro Lift in place of NV Snow + as the product you spray on top of it to let dwell for bit before rinsing? Thanks, Sandro! As always, I appreciate you and your work!
Yes you could use Tr.ix, but I’d personal wet the car first as it can dry rather quickly and is a more aggressive chemical - just note that Tr.ix can some times haze clear plastics if it dries, so wetting the surface first can help avoid that. Iron-X is another option that is less aggressive than Tr.ix, but Lift used as the snow foam is a fine substitute with no issues.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thanks again, Sandro! I actually dug a little deeper and found a place in the states that caries the NV line. I may have to try Purge, Snow +, and Purify. Purify really does look like a very unique product.
Great results as always!!! It this case, appraisal for 25h, end up with 40h… are you charging customers per hour or firm rate ? Can you make a video based on a business side of detailing cars for a living??
I charge based on quote, but I will sometimes contact the client again and allow them to decide if they are happy for me to put more time into the job or not. Here’s a link to a video I did on advise for pro detailers: ruclips.net/video/LOuKCiht4Nc/видео.html
So that's why they call it Detailing! The most terrifying words in the English language are: "I'm from the Government and I'm here to help". Ronald Reagan. I heard him in your video Sandro.
hey sandro great content, mate i was just wondering what you used on the glass for polish? also carpro essence is designed for coatings was there a reason you chose this polish over say things like 3d one or rupe yellow ect?
Thanks and it was also Essence on the glass, it works pretty well in my experience. The reason I used on the paint is because although it was designed as primer to coatings it’s still a fantastic AIO polish regardless in its own right and I find that sealants bond to it quite well. I could certainly also have used Rupes Uno or few others instead.
It’s a Vaporetto Steamer and BAR hot-wave extractor. There should be links to most of the equipment used in the interior in the Skyline R34 dedicated interior video 🙂
Thanks mate, it’s great hear that. I would be more cautious using Tr.ix on matte/satin and bare metal wheels as it is aggressive, so I only tend to use it clear coated gloss finishes and also only when necessary.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing thank you for your reply! Any recommendation on what to use on satin wheels? I read good stuff about brake buster total wheel cleaner.
I think Brake Buster would be safe, I personally didn’t find it to be the most effective cleaner but still okay and it seemed quite safe. I’d tend to recommend Nv Purge that used to clean the outer wheel faces, Shine Supply Cool Guy is another good one. Just make sure you’re in a shaded area, the wheels are completely cooled down, you wet the area first and don’t let any of the chemicals dry, you can keep spraying some water as you clean to prevent any potential chemical staining.
I typically use whatever polish pad I’m using to correct the paint. In my experience it just those extremely aggressive compounds like CeriGlass that leave behind micro scratches on glass.
I’ll give you a link to the compressor in the shop, you don’t need one this big if it just the Tornador you’re running, but if you want to run pneumatic polishers you do need one similar to this: ebay.us/bTM13q
I went over how long I spent in the video (towards the end) maybe you missed it. I don’t disclose what my clients pay, I feel that’s a little inappropriate but I understand people are curious 🙂 it was over $2k to generalise.
@CarCraftAutoDetailing I did hear the time it took you after I added this comment, so my oppologies! Tha k you for giving me a ball-park estimate. I am just getting started with my business and I am trying to gage the time it takes me to do jobs and pricing. I am not even close to having the skill to perform what you did to this skyline, but still just curious. Hope to be there one day! Love your videos!
Cosa ne pensi nn sarebbe meglio quella 400 dell americano che cambia i pezzi le mette nuovi e la chiave dentro una scatolina poi se la mette in tasca la rifanno pari al nuovograzie
@abuhamza1970 the great thing about detailing is that there’s a place for basic, mid-level & higher end work - all of which I’ve done in the past. So rather than putting down certain factions of the industry or the way individuals pursue this, be thankful the variety exists as well as different detailers willing to share their unique processes & experiences.

Sandro, what is the link for this item 18:20. Great video! Makes me want to detail my car.
Thanks and that maybe the Tornador Black you’re referring to - it’s listed in the description box
I am sure after tour work, the owner will be able to sell for way more.
So that's why they call it Detailing!
The most terrifying words in the English language are:
"I'm from the Government and I'm here to help".
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing thanks for your reply
Hey Sandro, what steamer and extractor are you using?
It’s a Vaporetto Steamer and BAR hot-wave extractor. There should be links to most of the equipment used in the interior in the Skyline R34 dedicated interior video 🙂
Great detailed video as always man! I have learned a lot by watching your videos. One question is the TriX safe on black satin wheels?
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thank you very much for the detailed reply!! I will try your suggestions! Have a great Holidays Sandro!
how many micro's should the clearcoat be at?
There’s no exact number and certain things to consider, but generally speaking it’s desirable to have readings above 90 micros
I couldn't find the product NV Clarify
Has this product been replaced by something else?
Sorry it should be Nv Clarity: www.waxit.com.au/products/nv-clarity-streak-free-cleaner?ref=1NNwBEgP4yO4AX
What pad/polish do you use on the glass to prevent scratching?
I typically use whatever polish pad I’m using to correct the paint. In my experience it just those extremely aggressive compounds like CeriGlass that leave behind micro scratches on glass.
Got to do this on my 2001 mustang did you use anything special when polishing the headlights?
No, it was the same Carpro Essence polish.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing thanks
All this work and you don’t remove the wheels? It’s impossible to get the wheels, arches and springs clean without removal.
true and even cleaning around the the seats but not taking them out
Isso sim é um verdadeiro "detail"

Great video! What size compressor do you use for your tornador?
I’ll give you a link to the compressor in the shop, you don’t need one this big if it just the Tornador you’re running, but if you want to run pneumatic polishers you do need one similar to this:

@@CarCraftAutoDetailing thank you!
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing the link you provided is only a 20 gallon compressor. It can still handle Rupes air tools?
That was the wrong link ☺️
I’ve just updated it, this is the one I have in the shop and it runs my air polishers great:

What mitt are you using to scrub the seats and carpet

How much do you charge for this, and how long did it take you?
It is satisfying to watch, but to be realistic, that’s a very expensive wash, spending that much of cleaning agents
25 to 40 hours?
Why waste time with the Tornador? You weren't actually doing anything beneficial with it.
Cosa ne pensi nn sarebbe meglio quella 400 dell americano che cambia i pezzi le mette nuovi e la chiave dentro una scatolina poi se la mette in tasca la rifanno pari al nuovograzie

Bu bye 👋🏼
@abuhamza1970 the great thing about detailing is that there’s a place for basic, mid-level & higher end work - all of which I’ve done in the past. So rather than putting down certain factions of the industry or the way individuals pursue this, be thankful the variety exists as well as different detailers willing to share their unique processes & experiences.
