Aaron Blaise is a former Disney animator and professional artist who’s a true master when it comes to drawing and painting animals. In this Masterpiece Demo you’ll get the opportunity to shadow him in his studio and watch him draw a large lion portrait from scratch. Starting with his process of selecting a photo and then moving onto sketching the layin and figuring out the anatomy. We tried to capture how Aaron draws when nobody is looking rather than how he draws for a demonstration at workshops. The true way he creates in his studio. if you're mainly doing drawings with digital, don't get a cintiq, get an iPad pro! the older models can be fairly cheap and Procreate works really well

My interests have always been in the comic strip field, met some great cartoonists along the way (Jim Davis, Garfield) but when I came across Aaron's videos I just found them so interesting. Interestingly enough I rather paint with my tablet than my cintiq. (I have the smallest model) I find the cintiq screen too small and colors are not true. The purples are all terrible.
