I'm sorry if it was mentioned in this or pt. 1 ... but how long did it take the ID3 to do the trip up north? ... A few videos ago my guess was 14hrs and 15 mins due to poor weather on day 1 (faster than the Polestar2 but slower than the Tesla M3) ... it didn't end up being that bad for the second half of day 1, so maybe a bit quicker? I actually slept one night in a Toyota Yaris, and it wasn't too bad. I turned the backrests of the front seats all the way forwards, it doesn't look like you did that with the ID.3, maybe it can't be done?
Anyone have news if the VW IDs will get working climate control options for when parked, like Tesla's Dog and Camping modes, as a software update? I am leaning towards buying an ID 4 over a Tesla, but if I can't keep the interior a constant temperature for hours at a time while parked, it will be a deal breaker for me.
I hate to say this, but VW might just have nailed it with the ID range.
Björn, you should have driven all the way up to Nordkapp as you were already at arctic circle.
You are aware that it's another 1050 km from Arctic Circle to North Cape, right?
+1 for 28kWh ioniq, even better with the guy's car with tow hitch. You might be away for a while though so I understand if that’s too long especially in winter. Maybe proper camping with Wifee next year?
No, already explained in part 1 why not.
Difficult for me to choose between id 3 and Hyundai Kona. Id3 has rw drive and Kona Is bigger and have better interior.
Id4 is the one for you i think better than Kona. Or check out skoda enyaq
Have you done id4 for us in the states who won't be getting the id3?
AHAH, the leaves are falling. Poor Nissan. Winter is coming for them
Anyone else watcching to see if Noraly from Itchy Boots happens to cross paths? Both were up there almost at the same time.
How long does the HVAC stay on if you enable the "Keep climate on" option?
30 minutes
En runde med kolonnekjøring over Haukeli eller tilsvarende hadde vært fint for å sette søkelys på komfort i en moderne elbil når været utenfor går åt skogen.

maybe the heating/cooling works like my Bmw i3. 2 times start, then you must start the car to get 2 more times? Great trip-vid!
How does it compare to Kia e niro?
It is compact , Tesla is d class , wait for id4 , q4 etron and my lovely Skoda
Polarbröd with some leverpastej is
Hi. Is it possible to put camera outside of car somehow? i just watched Itchy Boots motorcycle-girl video to Nordkapp. Very good RUclips clip and very good picture quality. Recomended to watch...
No
I'm sorry if it was mentioned in this or pt. 1 ... but how long did it take the ID3 to do the trip up north? ... A few videos ago my guess was 14hrs and 15 mins due to poor weather on day 1 (faster than the Polestar2 but slower than the Tesla M3) ... it didn't end up being that bad for the second half of day 1, so maybe a bit quicker?
EDIT: this car did climb up my shortlist for sure ... still don't like the looks or the infortainment area (or VW/German cars in general) ... but yeah, the trip was impressive.
Watch part 1.
@@bjornnyland I did the other day ... but I see where I made the mistake in calculating journey time, I thought the time was to the Polar Circle (+45 mins + charging time from the end of pt 1), not the Mo i Rana charger itself.
Which specs come with the heat pump as standard? UK buyer
Now imagine the bigger battery! It will be the same as a Tesla!
Nope, it will probably be about 30-45 minutes slower than Tesla still.
You can pull the passenger seat forward and then recline the back completely, that will give you about 8ft of flat surface to sleep on. I wonder why you didn't try it.
I know about it and I also mentioned it. The problem is that I had to bring something to support the open hole it creates.
oh yes do it with OG ioniq please!!!!!
8:18 it's supposed to be Reke - Bindestrich - Ost
Thanks for the video. Is that a better route planner basic or paid for ? As I’ve tried to plot 3 different journeys with the free version and had silly suggestions like change for one minute and on two separate journeys it suggested it change to say 60% then arrive with 0% ! Also arrive at destination with 2% that’s just bad advice in my opinion you should not arrive charger at less than 10% in my opinion with uks crap charger network reliability ! And bad for the battery . Anyone know how to set it up not to be so stupid took ,me ages to try and get to avoid Ionty but wish it was like zap map gave you choice of 3-5 charges within 5 or so miles near Selected stop . If I’m going to pay for it , it needs to be lot smarter . Need help setting it up for Zoe ze50 please thanks
Basic works fine. But premium has more features.
What about a test of the 2020 kia soul?
