This is the Winchester load that my oldest daughter ran this last season.
Her first sit by herself with HER deer rifle. The 11 point buck that made the mistake of passing by her stand, found the 150gr XP to be a hard pill to swallow lol.
Couldn't have been happier. She did her part and the XP did it's part ( double lung/heart, not that there was much left of the latter )
The chambering itself has done better on deer than I had anticipated. The win XP has shown the best expansion of the loads I’ve used.
I’ve taken several deer with it at distances from 110 to 290 yards using AR platforms.
Reminds me of the 154gr 7.62X39 (well, the 154gr bullets that actually expand).
I call her the 9x45 myself...❤😂😂❤
As soon as I heard about the caliber I built a rifle. Call her Nessie. Tree fiddy
i love my 350L. bear creek cant make it right tho lol it runs kinda
Matt fellow filer here . I love the Winchester deer season x39 it’s some great ammo
That indeed from what I recall is a solid
Load.
Good test and data, thank you. I've been using this ammo for the past few years on hogs here in Texas and it has done very well. I recently purchased the Hornady Black ammo with the 150 grain InterLock bullet, would be great if you could test the Hornady ammo, have not seen any testing on it as of yet.
I look forward to the 165 grain from Hornady testing/ Its bullet has a much smaller hollow point and ballistic tip, but i figure it'll be pretty similar.
Interesting cartridge.
Thanks Matt, good review.
You’re very welcome !
Opens up quick. Looks good to me
"That's what she said" 😂
thats an interesting cartridge
I'm just here for the gunshow.
Wonder what they would do in a 8" x frame.
Ok, ok. I'll get a .350 upper.
Ammo for it is kinda scarce for me locally. And if I can find it, expensive.
@@joecentral-o9984 I would almost certainly have to order it, myself.
@@TUKByV I have made fruit salad with mine on a couple occasions.
So, are you not doing armor testing anymore?
Still doing Armor :D Typically November through March/April I don't take on armor work because of the unpredictable and or cold weather (Winter). Due to my lack of time, I can have quite a bit of projects queued up, and so during the downtime these videos are what gets published. I have a LOT of armor testing due this summer :D
@@BuffRANGE copy that bro, thanks for answering. Lots of new stuff coming out, looking forward to seeing you test it.
