But it is completely useless when you buy a actual Laptop with Intel VMD, then you have to install driver sinse you do not see any drive

@@LSNG yes of course. You just add the drivers folder for Intel VMD into the root!! of the created usb boot disk.
@@LSNG btw. I wouldn't recommend windows 11. There is (currently) really no reasonable reason installing win11

Windows 10 still requires a license fee to receive a key code.
A flash drive is ok to install setup files.
Maybe keep a backup on a Double layer DVD? In case the 'cloud' dissapears in Denial of service major event.
FreeDos is basic machine instruction code needed. To then install Linux, Windows etc.
I'm so old, I recall DOS on 5-1/4" Floppy, when floppys were floppy!

Hey there, i just bought an HP 255 G8 laptop freedos with Ryzen 5 cpu. For some reason my usb ports are not working (3.2 type), it is like they are not powered up or something. Although in bios settings i see that they are enabled, secure boot is also turned off. The result is that i can not install the windows through booted usb stick. I tested the usb and it works on another laptop. I also tried to update the bios through usb, still could not do that. It indicated that the files were corrupted although i downloaded and installed the right files using the serial number of my laptop. Please let me know what to do, i need it for my uni. It has nvme m2 ssd.

Good luck to root your phone and stick to Ubuntu or other Linux Distributions. There is no 100% guarantee that you can bootup Windows 10 just using your phone to your Computer

Very good video but I couldn't manage to download windows on the laptop because the BIOS menu was very different. And it only let me run tests on the laptop.
Drivers? Activation? You will need a valid license to activate windows and you will need to grab the up to date gfx and net drivers for your new laptop. If you wifi or network is not recognized you have the chicken and the egg problem and will need to download the drivers onto a pendrive using another system and then install them onto the laptop. You should have explained this more clearly to this audience.

I think at this moment the W10 HOME is free. For Windows 10 PRO you need a 25 Key.

It doesn’t work ! You’ll basically suprime your Freedos on your computer and will be blocked! Don’t listen to him. I tried it and had to call a computer scientist friend to fix the problem.

Its the first time that I hear about this Operating system , what is it , and what are the differences between this operating system and windows ?
freedos means your laptop or pc doesnt have anything related to windows on it so the solution to this is to buy a usb with at least 8 gb or memory and go to a friends house or use your other desktop device and download the windows installation file and put it on the usb and plug that usb into your new laptop and it should give you windows 10 installation sequence

I disagree, it's only no OS by your standards. FreeDOS is an operating system as Windows is. Happy with my freeDOS laptop, there is no need for X86 GUI operating systems, except if you need them for work and can't use something else
I mean, you're not wrong, but most people do need normal UI and all that. FreeDOS is an operating system, but with virtually no use for most people

No. Microsoft does install all you need to get a bootable USB drive.

hello, I would like to know how did you turn on your pc while it was under freedos and that at the beginning of the video you are in a black screen how to remove this?
it should just boot normally, just press the power button and wait a little bit, then it will load into the FreeDOS menu
Some FreeDOS has special locks, like switch on when you open Screen, and the Secure Boot Enabled.
The procedure is:
1. Switch OFF the laptop.
2. Insert the USB bootable
3. Lenovo Press key FN + ON also ON and later F2 / F12
4. Selecct the proper option at Lenovo Button Menu - BIOS SETUP
5. Dissable Secure Boot Mode ans Select USB as nº1 Boot device, and Press F10 (Save and Exit).
6. The computer will start the W10 installation program. You must choose the options untill the end.
But i am don't have that on usb and i don't even habe a usb stick!!!😭😭😭

It takes only 3.11GB space on USB, so yeah it might work on 4GB USBs aswell.
just in case windows recommends 8gb, but you will be fine with less

The expresion FreeDOS means that the Drive is not raw, and has been prepared to accept an Operating System. It has a partition C:/

Microsoft allows ppl to use the full version of windows 10 for free with the small inconvenience of a watermark in the corner telling you to buy a key to activate

@@markk_hypercubing For advanced apps, that watermark might interfere with some of the apps feature selections on pull down menus and tabs. I dunno, never seen an unlicensed machine myself.
