The media, and journalists in general, need to take a hard look at themselves. How do they sleep at night? Revulting humans, preying off of the misfortunes of others. The way that they put people to the sword, they wouldn't last 5 minutes under the same pressure.

Good on Lewis for speaking out strongly against his own club. The AFL and the investigative panel have a lot to answer for. Clearly there is no defensible and fair process that has been put into place. It is a complete shambles and hopefully Clarko's mental health absence will be the catalyst for the AFL to step in and get the process right for all involved.

This whole rascism thing is completely out of hand.
ANY accusation must be backed by proof, whats happened is the opposite. It was only a matter of time before it began to affect peoples health....it appears that if your accused then you are guilty until proven innocent. There is no avenue to prove your innocence, no onus on those accusing to produce proof. They say mediation....mediation for what?? No body has been found guilty of anything.

I’m not quite understanding why the Hawthorn football club is being blamed for this. Didn’t they hand it off to the AFL and an independent investigator/panel to complete the process so it would be considered impartial? As far as I can see it is the AFL who has made a complete mess of this. Or is that too damaging for the game as a whole? Are we sure we are not scapegoating the club to save face for the AFL?

If they want to have all sides have their say, then we need to know what all of the allegations are, and not just go off of "Clarko is a great man, so these are fake!!"
James Hird was a great man. Now he's a a drug cheat, and caused 20something guys to have their careers ended or banned 2 years because WADA upheld their doping convictions. Were those allegations fake?

They all hoped that this would go away ,or be swept under the table.
Cyril walked away from his 5 year contract .
He and the other indigenous boys, couldn’t care, if they aren’t welcome back at the club. Cyril, Burgoyne , and the other boys, have lived their entire lives, not being welcome, wherever they go, because of their skin colour. Do you really believe that they care whether or not they’re welcome at Hawthorn? LOL.
Hawthorn should be commended for allowing this to leak to the media. They did the right thing, even though this will damage the club forever.
Can’t wait for the day this begins in court, then we will see, who is innocent and who is guilty!

I'm a Collingwood supporter, I disagree with Clarkson standing down. He's either innocent or guilty of something at Hawthorn. If he's innocent then he should have no reason to stand down. If he's guilty of inappropriate behaviour at Hawthorn he probably shouldn't have joined Nth Melb.
Why should North Melb and its supporters be penalised and disadvantaged because of something that occured at another club?
