This graining tool is awesome. I wonder if you could use it with epoxy.
Without liquid wood it will look and feel like a faux surface
Do you let the gray dry first then add the stripes of white wash?

Can you get the same effect with a chalk paint base instead of the wood n primer. If you still use the wood stain and a graining tool?
Chalk paint doesn't have the wood fibers so it will have more of a faux look and feel.
