He chased power specifically because he was buns compared to most others in his weight class including naruto.
@@MuhammadAreeb-qk9zc Eh, Sasuke through most of part 1 is actually lagging behind Naruto more than he cares to admit. This culminates in Naruto defeating Gara _(which Sasuke couldn't do)_ and him doing more damage to the surroundings than his Chidori in their subsequent bout. Naruto was also the one who defeated Haku.
It's not really until he gets boosted to stage 2 that he's dominate for some of the fight, and even then, he has to unlock his third tomoe _and_ to his full released state to match Naruto _(who was taking constant dmg from his chakra cloak)_ .
I can understand some of the aversion to give Sasuke his flowers Boruto. A lot of his characterization is spread out into things like Retsuden, Scarlet Spring, and the later parts of the manga.
However, if we do include all of these mediums...I would have to agree, his character is much more flushed out than in Naruto's manga, where he's riddled with convenient powerups and feels like his agency is at the mercy of other characters like Orochimaru, Itachi, Danzo, Obito, and even Naruto.

I think an understated reason why a lot of the villains in Boruto miss the mark is the fact that they don’t have as many connections to existing characters. Orochimaru alone is tied to Hiruzen, Jiraiya, Tsunade, the Akatsuki, Sasuke, and more. And because he’s so connected, even his interactions with people like Naruto have a lot of added weight. A good chunk of the prominent villains have history that connect with the wider Shinobi world. The villains in Boruto literally come out of nowhere and are just opposition. They are threatening sure, but that’s literally the bare minimum when it comes to making a villain. You can’t take literal randos who no one knows or cares about and expect them to be compelling.
This is absolutely the main problem with the villians. They come off a factory line to fill out a plot purpose
Just because a villain is more powerful doesn't mean he is a better villain. Boruto fans simply can't get that through their thick heads.
Nobody is claiming that lol

Or Momo, who can't even use his Karma, and each fight has to rely on Rasagen variations and taijutsu, when he's not trying to beat the young-lord down psychologically, is just a desperate cry for more depth!
Let's not forget Isshki, who's power ultimately had to bank on the _actual torture_ he put Kawaki through to draw him out while threatening Naruto's life, only to lose by the greatest shadowclone jebait in the verse.
If only we could have something as deep as Madara relying on a _third_ kid he barely knows to enact his eye of the moon plan, or maybe Orochimaru could have tried to posses Sasuke after the 2nd fight in the final valley, only for his plot armor to kick in again and Orochimaru is actually allergic to Sasuke's blood!

Boruto is objectively worse than Naruto in practically everything. I can't really think of anything actually better in Boruto, can somebody help me?

@@nonope1715 You are all critics, Naruto had many bad things like it was all boring until Pain arc Naruto became strong even though he was supposed to be strong after timeskipe but he didn't even know basics
In naruto storm revolution game, there is a story mode called "Creation of the akatsuki" that explains most of the members in akatsuki reasons for joining, they all have their seperate goals like kakuzu=money, hidan=sacrifices for his god, Deidara= his obsession for itachi, pain promised them that they can all do what they want and will be backed by the akatsuki but in the condition of that they have to capture tailed beast as well, so they mostly joined to have a backing of powerful people helping them since they were all outcast and hunted down before the joined
They basically explain that in the show as well
I am saying this to borutards since kara was introduced but they are so stubborn to deny that Akatsuki is far cooler than Tra$|[] kara.
One thing i've noticed here is that they just use the anime to do the clean up after they create something on the manga, the manga is just the first or second draft of the story while the anime is the actual properly finished script.
You forgot code getting his ass beat by daemon 30 seconds after getting his limiters removed
The only good villain in Boruto was jigen. He's the only one who seemed like a threat, he showed up, tried using kawaki as a experiment, clowned on Naruto and Sasuke, strolled into the village like he owned the place then clowned them again.
He was a villain, and a threatening one. No one else in this series is.
@@almessasorrow4950 Nothing about him was memorable. His motives are uninteresting, his ideology is nonexistent and the only thing that made him threatening was his strength.

I still FIRMLY believe that Pain was the best villain in Naruto bar none. He killed Naruto's mentor and put him through a deep journey, only to challenge his beliefs so hard he actually shut up Naruto in a series named after the guy. He FLATTENED the leaf village like Orichimaru wishes he could have and that's after he puts half the major characters in it, in the dirt. Pain's speech to Naruto went so hard alot of people STILL think he was right, and defeating him gave Naruto the one thing he wanted more than being hokage. Defeating Pain left Naduto accepted by his village, thats all he ever really wanted. He was sibling-student of Naruto's and without him, the Akatsuki wouldn't be the same. He had a sick design, sounded great, and genuinely felt like a threat. "What about my family? My friends? My village? Why is it only you people get to preach about truth and justice?" That line was chilling, Naruto even looked down cause he knew he couldn't say ANYTHING without being a hypocrite. That said, I respect that our subjective tastes differ. I think the style reflects the era of peace well while also flipping to serious tones when needed, such as in episode 192 ("The Past"), which shows Kawaki getting abused and almost sold to a child trafficker before being sold to an alien parasite for his body [pause]. The manga-canon arcs are also consistent in the quality of the animation. Chengxi Huang's contributions to fights like Orochimaru vs. his sons in the animated version of chapter 3.5 or Momoshiki vs. Naruto and Sasuke are excellent examples of this. While the anime canon arcs fluctuate a bit in their animation quality, we got the hilarious crying-Boruto face out of that, so that was pretty funny.
Regarding the villains, I'll also have to disagree with you. Momoshiki has proven time and time again to be the most tenacious Caucasian alien we've faced, repeatedly having some of the most exciting fights in verse despite being heavily handicapped each time in Boruto's body or finding several ways to come back into the battle against the Kages. Jigen/Isshiki had child abuse down to a science (the goldfish scenes from the anime still live rent-free in my head). Amado is constantly suspicious and playing with everyone. Hell, Ao, a background character from the later arcs, had far more characterization and a great sendoff in Boruto than he did in the parent series.
Have you read any of TBV? We've hit another tone-shift in the manga, and you might enjoy it more.

Boruto’s Villains are not well written, they’re just there.
• *Amado* , though not a direct villain, deserves recognition as an antagonist for his ongoing schemes that constantly challenge Konoha's leadership. His intricate plotting and the detective subplot involving Sumire's efforts to uncover his plans add a compelling layer of intrigue to the manga.
• *Momoshiki's* persistent threat to Boruto's journey heightens the stakes, endangering Boruto's family and loved ones in a way Kurama never could _(since any progress Boruto makes is also progress for Momo)_ . Whether it be the blue-eyed prophecy and Kawaki's release, he's constantly compelling and memorable force in the narrative. At the current point in Two Blue Vortex, it's clear that if Boruto, at his current level of strength, were fully possessed by Momoshiki, it would undermine all his efforts to protect his loved ones. This also justifies Kawaki's motivations to eliminate Boruto to safeguard the Uzumaki family from this looming threat, making both the future final antagonist and the main character more compelling by Momoshiki's mere existence, and he _earns his keep_ with every appearance or nudge he gives the boys.
• While *Ao* is an original character from the Naruto series, he had very little agency there, mainly serving as an accessory to the Mist Village. In Boruto, he is developed into a much more complete character with a satisfying conclusion. It seems unfair to criticize his inclusion based on his origins in the parent series, especially since he was barely a character there.
There are other points I have like why my man *Shojoji* wasn't in this list, but I'd for this not to get _too_ long. =p

Boruto is alright, but I kind of wish it’d taken its time in the first act and expanded how we interacted with Kara/the slightly more high tech ninja world. Like ninja tech gets introduced and then is promptly basically forgotten about. Cybernetic prosthetics would’ve been really interesting to explore, and maybe Kara could’ve showcased that more. I also know that Sarada and Mitsuki are more powerful than old Team 7, but their strength feels a little undeserved (like their ground floors are just way higher, which makes sense for who they have to battle, but we didn’t get to see their characters’ journey to reach that strength). And basically no character outside of Naruto/Sasuke and that core new team 7 really register as important or fleshed out, which is unfortunate. I wish act one had been twice as long just so we could’ve seen more.
Sorry, No. The character designs in Boruto are not better than in Naruto. They are „uhm, what now“ derivates of Naruto and they come off a bit extra. The Boruto fans love Boruto more because the world hates Boruto more , which makes them cling to their choice even harder.

Pains impact on the story and the fanbase is great to compare his writing to boro. But worry not kishimoto has taken the pen back and u can see it from what he’s done and doing with code kawaki and the shinju.
I wish code has gotten atleast a better fight or two lol so far code is just moving the plot forward and im kinda confused on his placement on enemy hierarchy tbh
All this show does is shit on the original cast of Naruto and premote the the crappy next generation.... if you are going to do that, make it make sense... this show comes off EXACTLY like bad fanfiction.....
EXACTLY!
The copium runs deep with NClovesHIMSELF2much
The ego as a theme on a character is so interesting to me that’s why Ulquiorra is my fav bleach character, i hope kishimoto cooks in the next chapters
Oh, you mean in relation to the Shinju? I'm not going to lie, a lot of my favorite bleach writing actually comes from the novels, but I can see the appeal to Ulquiorra.
@@nicholasrolison926 yes exactly
I loved Isshiki.
He was an evil powerhouse.
No more, no less.
Funny enough this tired troupe worked for me.
From saying sorry that he walked into Naruto's house etc.
I'm not saying he's a Madara level villain
But I love him
Thank you!!!
Yeah there's like NO grind..
In Akatsuki you have to GRIND to earn your dam keep. 😂 😂 Akatsuki was a JOB for real.
Not these shinanigans where folks be flying around without a single hand seal dispensed... It's toned down but it's damn near sacrillage to the way of ninja.
We love mchammer
Well what if Mitsuki and Kashin Koji have an arc together focused on them being clones and this could be while Mitsuki is learning how to be his own sun, that could be a cool arc for him
I believe that the villains aren't meant to be villains but with the kara the objective was introducing Kawaki and with the shinju it is to build up and make the stage for Boruto and Kawaki's fight maybe after that if the manga continues we can see some real villains
Exactly, this is all based off a stupid assumptiom idiots made that the Kara was meant to be the new Akatsuki
@@FallenPhoenix-ml5mn yeah they were simply there to give us Kawaki but the shinju on the other hand are handled much better especially Jura while serving there purpose of preparing Kawaki and Boruto for their showdown
Pretty much. I wouldn't even place them with the Akatsuki since they needed to collect the Tailed Beasts for the Ten Tails. Not to mention most of the members either dropped like flies or turned heel.
If anything, it's the Otsutsuki that would be the Akatsuki equivalent, threat wise. Their goal is more connected to the Ten Tails than Kara altogether.
@@panth3r072 yes I believe after the shinju are killed and Boruto and Kawaki fight The Otsutsuki will be the main threat or maybe It will be like Naruto they will finish the bigger Threat then Fight each other
We can see some real villians you are saying this from chapter 20 of Boruto😂 you should accept that Boruto villians are awful
Youre never gonna get another Akasuki style group thatll out Akasuki the Akasuki. What they need to do is take it in a new direction we havent seen in Naruto before
I hope we get to see Orochimaru and Kashin Koji firsh meeting. 🐸🐍
Tbh, nobody matters as far as villains besides shibai tbh we know hes the final villian it would be like if we had found out madara was alive during Naruto part 1
I want the Boruto series to have a group of villains like the Phantom Troupe from Hunter x Hunter.
So true tho
You would need a writer like togashi for that
Well isn’t that what the Akatsuki was supposed to be?
League of Villains
@@NichtMawjud You have a writer like Togashi for that, it's already on hiatus. =p
My idea ages back was for an organization not unlike the Akatsuki, but made up of False Jinchuriki, those with vastly powerful summons bound within them as contracts. The summons would state their reason for helping was because they embodied what they saw as "Pure" chakra, harmonious with nature, while most other forms, especially the Tailed Beasts came from the Otsutsuki which needed to be purged from the world. Their leader would have been someone with a pact with the Reaper, later revealed to be Jashin, who was the parent of Kaguya and the others trying to put a stop to them until they murdered him. Like Hagoromo though he had knowledge of what lay past life and death and endured, not fully able to manifest until this pact was made, and now he is on a path to eradicate what remains of his errant children, and their effects of the world. The overarcing beliefs of the group would be they were going to bring peace by removing the influence of Chakra from the world, being good friends with each other in a tragic reflection of Naruto and his friends as they fell one by one, forcing the protagonists to question if they're in the right, or if they're just soldiers doing what "has to be done," perpetuating a cycle of violence and power to reinforce the status quo of the world.
Where is it stated that Jiraya became a millionaire?
He literally was spending Naruto’s money
He wrote a popular book series and also was a famously strong ninja. He made bank, him taking money from Naruto was just him being an ass.
That bebop and rocksteady reference was crazy. 😳😂😂😂😂
Peak
Other Boruto villains: suck.
Jura: Imma make my grand entrance
I was bout to make this comment. Thank you for taking it off my hands lol
Lol jura got a cool drip😎
Jura isn't that great either.
@@light3145 I mean he's only been around for like five chapters but so far he's good
...and suck as well
Bro your takes on Boruto besides the villain writing are something else
Nah 98% of Boruto is 🧢
6:15 I feel like that kind of plays into the meta of anime to a degree. Things now don’t hit quite the way the used to. The akatsuki was special. Like the greatest rogue ninja from across the lands level with an agenda rooted in the creation of ninjutsu. Another group like that probably would never exist again outside of a kishimoto fever dream. So them fizzling out to me feels natural, Kara would never measure up
Just realized Sumire's curse mark was made using Kaguyas DNA. Maybe thats why Sumire is immune to Omnipotence. Because shes part otsutsuki
Who collected her DNA from the moon? Or while in the infinite tsukuyomi? Or when she was sealed in the other dimension?
Well, it's made from Hashirama cells, but _loosely_ it's tied to Kaguya I suppose.
Idk
Sasuke just said after studying this curse mark, he was able to get coordinates for the kara hideout where he travelled there using his rinnegan
Look, I love the narutos villain, but we're not gonna act like they don't fit a pattern. Sympathetic sad back story tied to the scars of war, that led to them looking for peace in a warped way. That either sees them defeated because they are too far gone or made to come to realise they were wrong often via the infamous talk, no jutsu.
Are there characters from Akatsuki who can counter Code's claw mark ability?
Obito.
@@SpammytheHedgehogNot really,bc the moment Obito tries to attack Code, his claw marks will place on Obito’s body, and those claw marks will lead this Obito time space and it’s gg.
Obito and Deidara, Code wouldn't be able to see his microscopic bombs which would get into Codes blood stream, and well Code wouldn't be able to land a hit on Obito and Obito would just use genjutsu on him than kill him.
@@TobikunOuOCode>Jigen>Kaguya>Madara>Obito. Unleashed Karma code slaps Obito silly let's not front 😂
@@TobikunOuO That's only if Deidara survived long enough to do anything to code and if code just sits still and allows him to throw bombs at him, Same goes for Obito and kamui isn't as powerful as you make it out to be once you mention the weaknesses like Obito not being able to hit code unless he deactivated his intangibility.
So basically, the Boruto manga sucks at writing villains and the anime is the only thing that makes them slightly interesting
Momoshiki was interesting especially how he got ganged up on.
Only one villian rest of others are trash
Tbh, from what I've seen in the story, nothing stands out to me, nor is it all that interesting. Not only that, but in addition tbh, the characters are kinda mid as a whole, sure people like them, but why? All of the relevant characters in the story seem to all be either OP or stoic, power scalings too high for anyone else to do anything, it's just kinda propping up 3 or 4 people. Not trashing on it, this is just my take as a HUGE Naruto fan (that applies to the universe, not just a timeline)
BEARD
I think this is my biggest problem with Boruto and why I can’t personally get into it. I’m a huge Naruto fan so I keep up with the ongoing story thru RUclips users like Nick but because the villains are so mid it’s like why would I care to really invest in the conflict. I couldn’t care less about the real meat of the story. I just want to see if Naruto gets out of the other dimension and what happens with the Ootsutsuki/Boruto. Oh and the god eye thing.
People are written code off, If I trust kishi with anything. Its his writing when it comes to compelling villians. Code being beat down constantly is only path of the course for his character.
Code is equal to Kabuto in the Naruto series. Not the main bad, but still lynch pin pivotal. Ultimately side line destination. Kawaki isn't even really a villain or antagonist, he's more a counter foil. The Shinju, have no grandiose plan. Jura, isn't the main bad. We're getting an otosuki event, sides will be made, conflict will get resolved, both teams will have to settle or fight, or fight to settle.
Don't make me laugh kabuto was loot cooler than stupid code his ability is also awful Kabuto Was cool when she met Tsunade code is uninteresting and awful villian
Boruto is a trash fast food story living off Narutos greatness. The women are written exactly the same. The villians are written badly and the protagonists are too in this story I don't know what this guy is talking about. There hasn't been one good arc yet. The characters are all empty placeholders.
True villians are awful in Boruto I only like momoshiki
The girls get more of a spotlight and thats good but thats literally the only better thing than Naruto. They still have the problem of shelfing interesting characters before they kick off, among all the other problems of Boruto as a whole.
Easy question for all.
Who is a better villain than Zabuza in Boruto ?
Yep... There is none.
Big facts
the girl with the minishorts is hotter
Better villain ,u mean more evil that’s many ppl ,do u mean sad ending or sum?
Who is better not hotter***@@Viroh
Kawaki By far.
Momoshiki, by far.
I think one of the reasons why i hate boruto is the fact that there was so much potential that was wasted.
For example you say that Isshiki and the Otsutsuki helped to bring back ninja to a more normal level, no more insane chakra techniques, no more avatar gundams, etc. I say that Isshiki and the Otsutsuki squandered that as if they can affect the previous main characters doesnt that mean that anyone else just wouldnt be able to do it? For example theres a kunoichi, wasabi i believe, who was able to make a chakra cat shroud like naruto/sasuke kurama/susanoo, so that means cause of the Otsutsuki/karma that makes it basically useless (again an example). Any potential of shinobi maybe gaining future strength would basically be a moot point since the Otsutsuki can basically just get rid of any chakra techniques and lets be honest the taijutsu just doesnt seem all that interesting without some back up ninjutsu.
To me, ehat they couldve done is just focus back on small scale missions and enemies, instead of jumping into planet destroying cyborgs or alien invaders they couldve focused on something like a black market underground network, which was briefly touched on by Kakuzu. This wouldve allowed them to keep the stakes low for the new generation to focus on while the author slowly builds up the cyborgs and aliens better.
Also just want to bring one thing up about Kashin Koji, i read an article that said that Kishimoto didnt want to bring Jiraiya back during the 4SWW, yet Ikemoto (i believe his name is) went ahead and made a clone of Jiraiya.....doesnt this seem a little disrespectful, i dont know with the way he just randomly appears, no real backstory on HOW Amado got Jiraiya's dna and the fact Naruto doesnt seem mad kind of throws his character and POTENTIAL character development with the village seems out of place.
Sorry its a lot i know, just had to get this out lol
Yeah most of the beginning of boruto wasn't written by kishimoto, kishimoto was literally against the idea of creating a boruto show so they brought someone else, He only came back around the time in the manga when kurama died, boruto is an insult to naruto in my opinion
Blud unironically said that Boruto outshines Naruto lmao
He was spittin tho back then. This one.. not so much
Modern anime fans for you hahahaha They say the dumbest things. Especially when you consider that Kishimoto didn't write Boruto for a good while.
Unless your referencing something else your incorrect he said Boruto is more popular in his fan base then Naruto is in perspective fan base
@@jonathank786
I'm pretty sure he didn't mean the characters, but the series as a whole.
@@thereseemstobeenanerror1219 🤨dude no way boruto is anywhere near as popular as shonen or shippuden
I would really like to see more creativeness with each character as most of them have parents who came together with different jutsu which has the potential to create new jutsu. The only person who has demonstrated this is Inojin combining his mom and dad's abilities. Why haven't we seen this with others. This would make more interesting matches with the introduction of new villians. Just a thought.
THE BEARD IS BA... oh its prerecorded
I’d argue that Kashi is more interesting than Jirayah at the moment because of the fact that we don’t know much of anything about his backstory besides him being a clone. His accomplishments and feats have been satisfying given how much screen time he’s gotten. His parallels to Jirayah are satisfying to see unfold given how he’s currently training Boruto, similar to Jirayah and Naruto. His ninjutsu arsenal is a nice variation on Jirayah’s too, we get to see different applications of different toad based techniques. If anything he’s one of the more interesting characters in the current series.
who is gonna win if kaguya fight against scarlet witch from MCU?
Scarlet Witch 🧙♀️
Kaguya since she has better speed
Your insight into the things you are passionate about is pretty amazing. Never change in this regard :)
Boruto villains offer a variety same as the locations in Boruto, which is none. 11 months of drawing trees and rocks no new backgrounds falling flat like the villains but at least Himawari is G
Low intellect detected
His videos are the only place i feel comfortable to talk about boruto without being made fun of or be asked for my age for liking or following boruto. Seeing him be so open about his opinion gives me confidence
I need more Kashin Koji
I've been thinking about this for a while
The Akatsuki, Madera and Obito were just too goated
I feel like the build up was a lot better for the villians throughout Naruto at this point Boruto can't really build them up the same
I think it's because Boruto as a whole is a much, MUCH shorter and concise story. Well concise in speech bubbles. The story itself just feels rushed, Naruto had been going on for a decade and Boruto even though is released once a month is still just an incredibly short story, I don't think it will last as long.
Amado is insane though, one of the coolest characters honestly and I can't wait to learn more about him.
Toneri was pretty good (maybe not a Boruto villain tho).
Momoshiki and his goons were just on sight aggressive for no reason but were cool af.
Everything with kara was pretty boring, but Jigen was cool ig.
The cyborgs were interesting concepts but work better as characters than villains.
Aside from being tied to Kaguya, Isshiki was kinda boring but had hell of a stage presence.
Kawaki is just a Sasuke that wants to be like Naruto, so alright.
Overall i'd give Boruto's villains a 6/10. while on screen they're great but story telling wise, they could be better imo
None of Boruto's villains don't even have their own OST. So yeah I would change 6/10 and turn it into a 4/10.
@@raven3067imagine trying to change other people rating just because
@@raven3067 i wasn't really factoring OST and outside stuff into. Sure, the music made them more intimidating and recognizable but i didn't include it for the same reason as character design- it's entirely subjective. I think Isshiki is badass looking, way more than Pein, but I'm not going to hold that against how good of a presence they had in storytelling.
Facts 🗿 Kara is tra$|[] I only like momoshiki as villian
i just didn’t like how these threats just came out of now where. like jigen/sigilo had a bit of a backstory that made sense. but since he’s been around forever why didn’t he also show up in shippuden. and the otsuki cyborgs like code, eida, and daemon just piss me off bc they’re come outta now where and are titled one of the strongest
