For example, I've uninstalled Firefox, but if I type "fire" it still shows Firefox app. I've recently installed OBS studio, but if I search for "OBS", the app doesn't show up. I've tried restarting my pc, doing some things in regedit, running the troubleshooter, rebuilding the index, doing sfc scannow thingy, ... and many other. But, method 1 shown in this video (ending task of Search and restarting Windows Explorer) just fixed this annoying problem even without having to restart my pc. Thank you so much again.

Also, Settings doesn't launch and Windows Explorer who can be used to fix Setting doesn't launch as well. I have no idea what to do. This laptop always finds some way to not work.

Thx the second solution worked for me! I just had an update and my screen was black with only the mouse cursor visible. After that, I couldn't type anything in the search bar. Now it works again. THANK YOU!
At 3:39 Factory Reset doesn’t work because it say “ an error has occurred while loading a troubleshooter” and “an unexpected error has occurred. The troubleshooting wizard continue” 😔

I tried to fix it using the Indexer Troubleshooter and it said "problem fixed", but it didn't actually do anything. The issue with my search bar is that when I open it, in a few seconds it automatically crashes. If I try to redo this, it instantly closes and its not working.
The second thing he recommends is also useful if you can't access one of your drives. I couldn't access my D drive but after restarting windows explorer it started to work. Many thanks. I still have to restart my computer and see if the search thing appears but already I am hopeful as at first I couldn't see it in the task manager but now it appeared! I was going to take my computer to the computer shop - what a pain - and now I don't have to. Many thanks again.

still doesnt work i did it with powershell and did everything right and hte searchbar still doesnt type any letters in it
guys this might be because a file is damaged or registry broken so load a backup if this dosnt work or get a cleaner like c clenaer or avast cleanup
