Great video, man! Finally, I got time to watch it, and it's always great getting info from you even if I'm not heading in that direction with my truck yet, but videos like this are why I ended up going with my specific truck. I'm sure about 10 years from now(unless I hit the lotto), I'll end up upgrading, and I'll remember the info that you put out there. Can't wait to see what's coming with that Raptor R and your truck. 🤙🏼🤙🏼🌺🌴
Thanks man. These new videos take more time but they are way more fun and rewarding for me. Can’t wait to show everyone the process to further upgrade my truck.
Hope all is well with you & yours KID!🙏🏽... I sold my Gen 2 Raptor last December, walked out of the OC House of Imports with a $22K check & bought a '21 Ranger Lariat Tremor with 4.4K miles on it for $35K & I love it!... (also loved only financing $16K!!)... Then just last week I flew up to Sacramento & got a Ford Blue Oval Certified '17 Mustang GT Premium with 3.2K miles on it in the Ruby Red Metallic!... So my garage & I are fat & happy with Ford Performance!!!... I had promised my girls & Mom no more motorcycles after my 2017 accident, so the GT is my replacement!😜 ... & in February, the Tremor easily took me across a 2 foot deep, swift running Lytle Creek to get me up to my gun range!!... I'm beyond happy with how capable it is!... So maybe I'll still meet up with y'all for a run!👊🏽 ... God bless you bro🙏🏽
Badass man. I wanted a Mustang myself, but new ones are so expensive. Been looking at a few used cars myself but wife said 3 cars just for me is enough. So maybe next year I’ll get another.
You may be thinking of the factory five truck. And the answer is no. A proper race designed tube chassis would be far more expensive to develop and build. The factory five truck was built by guys that builds cars not trucks. There is a reason we have not seen much footage of that truck hitting the trails hard despite to low price point.
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad not so much a proper race truck but something that would be cheaper and better in the dirt, this truck is rad don't get me wrong but it just seems like a lot of money and work to turn an already expensive truck into something like this
Can't wait for the video you have coming out with them soon! The R competitor! Also is this price he mentions ($180k ish) with the truck in that cost or is the truck a separate cost in addition to?
No, that’s just the build and does not include the truck. Typically a fully built prerunner build with cage, linked back half and clamshell front is $250k. So these are expensive builds regardless. I think the recon builds are around the $150k range.
Have not shot it yet. Truck is in the final stages of completion. Hoping to shoot it here this month so it will be an early November video. I want to get shots of it on the trails and not just static shots so that’s going to take a little extra time
Sharp looking build. With the many places i travel in CANADA, at a higher rate of speed than suggested, i have been considering the full interior role cage . The king shocks i just mounted from Baja North in Kamloops, BC work way better than the factory fox. Have fun Faster is Smoother
Regardless of the company, I’m personally not a fan of any cantilever kits. It adds a ton of extra joints that increase complexity and maintenance costs and it’s much harder to tune because your multiplying the shocks stroke. Simpler is better when it comes to off-roading. I would rather have the holes in the bed, than the extra maintenance and possible performance issues down the road
@KeepItDirtyOffRoad yeah kinda figured with nobody taking about it lol my trucks been paid off just need to get to it now but the builds that I like are $$$$$$$$ this interior and cage is the best I've seen
Yeah. Most builds are super expensive. I’m in the same boat and been saving for a few years to build my dream truck. I can’t afford it all, but I can come close.
R owner here, I got it for the warranty. There isn't anything done to those trucks you can't do to the R. But will those trucks ever rock a 5.2 V8 Predator SC motor? Love your videos. Keep up the great work.
The full elites will run the 5.0 supercharged usually making more power than the R. Some as high as 1000hp so yeah. And way more capable. The starting price of the R with markup and tax title and licensing makes it not appealing to upgrade though. Your already at $150k out the door
@KeepItDirtyOffRoad With all due respect. I think you're missing the point. Some people don't want to deal with custom engine builds and troubleshoot gremlins, as mentioned in the video. Talk to me about that 5.0 1k+ hp warranty. Rs don't need a whole engine swap. We rolled off the lot like that. You gotta admit that's pretty cool. To each their own.
Very true. I was that guy too and preferred to stay closer to stock and enjoy the warranty. New trucks need that warranty too because of all the electronics and systems in them. It’s also why they are not as upgrade friendly and why I’m in a Gen1 now. It’s a more upgrade friendly platform. Way less issues offroad.

Kevin (HM) does great work, and this "Mini" is no exception. Thanks for bringing it to us.
He’s one of the best builders out there. His designs are no other.
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad I know, I have one. LOL!
This truck was running Silver Lake a couple weeks ago, it was jaw dropping. Absolute beautiful build.
Yeah man. Owner has been having fun with it already. Killer build
I kinda of need (want) this for the potholes in MN...that would be fun in the snow too.
🤣🤣 I’m sure I would do great in both.
So sick!

GURY, NÓS SEGUIMOS O VOSSO CANAL, ALGUM TEMPO! CANAL MUITO TOP!
Truck looks good. Kevin says the front is at 14-15in of travel but what about the rear? and what tires size is it running
Running 37s and rear is 28 inches I think. Way way more capable. Front is limit strapped to 14-15 for the longevity of the CVs.
Is the 94” outside of tire to tire?
Yes overall width with 0 offset wheels. Obviously some tires and wheel offsets will change that, but overall width is 94in
would it be cheaper to have a full custom tube chassis with a cab slipped over top?

As soon as you go tube chassis cost go way up. You’re talking 300k+ . Building an elite would be cheaper either way an f150 or a recon build.

On some of those remote Canada roads I could see the cage coming I handy.
What's your take on the fmi 5 link cantilever kit nobody talks about it I feel I'm trying to see the route I wanna go with my gen 1
