Five link for a Gen1!!! Absolutely
Always been a huge fan of BMS, those raptors are sick! 🤘🏼
Yes they are!!
Another excellent piece @keepitdirty I’ve been itching for a link kit for my gen 2 and after watching this I think it’s totally doable 🙌
Yeah man. And this is the first to market for the gen3 with dual shocks in the back. There is so many possibilities here, specially once they tune it.
I'm loving the Gen 3 so far. That kit, even being a mid travel looks like it just turned into a bigger off-road monster.
Sure does. Lots of potential on the Gen3.
Great in-depth review. Blitz has worked on my 2022 Bronco. Their craftsmanship and attention to deal is top notch.
It’s a great shop and why I got out of my way to feature them.
I’ve always liked your videos, but I have noticed lately videos quality are getting way better and loved this video. I have the Blitzkrieg mid Travel. And Dave from Blitzkrieg is excellent wealth of knowledge and his customer services it’s out of sight. Keep up the great videos.
Thanks man. Always have to work hard to improve. So I invested in camera equipment this year and planning videos better.
I learned about blitz through James and just recently met Dave and they are amazing dudes. Glad they are at the help of blitz and really excited to see what else they do.
Great video!, would love a video comparing the big companies mid travel kits; svc, rpg, bms, khc, evil, foutz, HM.
Just comparing your thoughts of the pros and cons of each kit, as well as the prices$$$$$$$$
That would be cool. Been trying to get all the kits on a single run for years.
G3 looks amazing - Great video!
Thanks man
Freakin Sweet!!!
Thanks
Awesome video!!! The rear ends are bad ass! Need to rethink my setup ... 🔥🤙🏼
Right!! Changes plans big time if linked is an option
Gen3 is no doubt the best performer and best looking!
I’ll agree with best performing. But not on the looks side.
Excelente video, gracias :))
Thanks
Might be one of several of the baddest video yet on your channel helio.
Thanks man. We had fun making this one
Doesn’t matter but the IWE is electronic but has a breather tube to allow the sealed unit to engage/disengage. That Gen3 kit is sexy.
Yeah. But sucks it’s also integrated with the wheel speed sensor. Many would rather go without the extra failure point of the IWE when they upgrade. With then gen3, you either keep it or it dangles off to the side somewhere to keep the trucks computer happy
Great edit, Helio. This came out awesome.
Thanks man. 🙏
3rd time watching this Vid! Your ability to get the need to know information into an easily understandable format is on par or better than the best in the industry.
The production in this and the cutting between product and talking is balanced.
I’m a really excited to see what you take this channel!
KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK 💪🏻
My Wife might have words for you if we ever meet tho , Witnessing your journey has made me take my F150 off the road recently. It is getting chopped up and I am slowly gathering the parts to do a proper Long Travel / Back half .
I just picked up a lil daily driver car and am committed now :))
Thanks for the motivation!
Thanks man. This is greatly appreciated because of all the work I’ve been putting into the channel lately.
And I have that problem with many wives out there 🤣🤣. I’m apparently a bad influence
In about 20 years after I've saved up some money after taking the punch with the cost of the truck. I'll probably consider an upgrade to the front and rear.
That gen 1 is so sexy 😛 amazing camera work btw Helio 🤙
Thanks man. I can’t take all the credit though. All the gen2 camera work I’m Barstow was done by some pros linked in the description. I just did the ocotillo stuff
kinda random but how would you say these trucks the way they are set up, ride and handle compared to a SXS like a can-am or polaris?@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad
Completely different worlds man. A SXS can handle way more crazy trails and obstacles because of the suspension travel numbers and cage. BUt your in the elements chewing on dust, no AC, and limited by OHV restrictions the speed of the UTV and the limited fuel range.
A fully built up raptor like this will be a comfortable ride in any weather, long range, and you can drive it home at the end of the day. You can also run much faster (depending on suspension and driver skills) and you can go just about anywhere. I used to do buggies and will never go back.
Amazing 🔥
Thanks
Great vid. These are some of the best vids to kick back and watch. Do these guys seem to have any interest in the TRX platform and would they be willing to work on them? I know you majority deal with raptor focused content, but would be nice to update the community about the TRX every once in a while for your following that have those platforms. Seems like it would be a nice video idea. Always appreciate all the work you do.
We are definitely interested in the TRX platform. But we’ve ran into 2 major problems. 1. TRX guys l, for the most part, care more about 1/4 mile times than off-roading. So we have only seen 2 on the trials. And 2. Extremely limited options for upgrades on them and very expensive options at that because none of the manufacturers expect high volumes for the TRX. So they did not invest in upgrades for the platform.
To my knowledge there is stock shock upgrades that have a $2k premium over a similar raptor setup, and there is Robby woods long travel setup that we have only seen on one truck.
I wish more TRX guys were into off-roading like the raptors so that we can feature them more
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad As time goes on more and more I am sure will start to take them out. Once they age a bit. There’s much more aftermarket support it seems with FMI, kibbetech, Camburg I think too, Evil off-road offers a long travel kit, but there’s no exposure or reviews with it and robby woods took his videos down off YT of his long travel. So that’s sketch. At least with Ram continuing the TRX in the next phase as a RHO trim will probably help the TRX since if people buy the RHO it’s not a drag strip motor in it and we’ll see more of them off road. The engine will have 540hp more then enough to get into trouble on and off road I am sure. Just was wondering what the professionals in a shop think about working with the TRX and if they have any interest in making kits for them.
All those shops make upgrades but all are for stock travel only. Arm and all that only.
I personally would not trust any kit from Robby woods. Seen to many of those trucks have tons of issues offroad. Evil may have a design but yeah, not seeing any details on it is worrisome. But TRX has been out a few years now and still we only see a hand full on the trails. Hoping the smaller engine changes that. But right now, there is no bandit for companies to make stuff for them because the market is not there yet
Would really like to see that g3 as a before and after once they get it tuned. Seemed pretty nose heavy on those whoops
This is straight out of the box with no tuning. BMS spent some time with King tuning the trucks last week and it’s a completely different truck. Hoping to get some shots of this truck on the trail in the future to see the improvements. We were going to do it hammers but owner fell through. So hopefully soon we will
I see some have bum stops up
Front, did you notice a difference with them ?
Love the Mid travel kit...but I don't like where the resi's are located
Not many options with the large finned reservoirs. They are much larger than the standard
what size tires does the blue gen 2 have?
37s
Doesn't the truck come with a linked rear end? Did they removed the panhard?
Huh??
Gen3 is linked from the factory yes. But it uses springs with bypass shocks and a really weak pan hard bar. If you look at the 2nd half of the video you will see the difference. 18in covers either 18in bypass shocks combined with 2in bump stops and a stout pan hard bar increases suspension travel to 20 inches. That’s a huge jump and necessary to keep up with the upgraded front end
What wheels are those on the 3rd gen? They look really good
Not sure. I’ll ask BMS and get back to you
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad Awesome thank you!
They are a custom set of Titan 7 wheels
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad thank you again. I will definitely look into them
Is that 7700 without shocks?
Yes. And that’s for the billets uppers too. Steel uppers are a little cheaper
Right now if you had to choose, svc or bms??
If I had to choose, BMS between just those 2.
I do have one shop though I think is better than both
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad and which shop would that be?? 🤔
Best kits on the market are from HM.he does long travel kits that cost the same as most mid travel kits. Only difference is install. Putting the final touches on that video now
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad sweet heck yeah thanks for the informative videos!!!!!
I have 20 ranger with bajakits and fox 2.5 and performance exactly like this I don’t get the whole price tags nowadays it’s ridiculous
Hmm I’m sure it’s similar but not like this. The Ranger design limits travel. I forget off the top of my head at what most kits get, but travel matters for high speed off-roading. I’ve seen a few Ranger builds over the years and they are capable and keep up. But they have their limits and the kits from BMS or other manufacturers that make kits for full size trucks will be more capable.
The only exception would be a fully caged prerunner king of build out of a Ranger. And then a ton of the limiting components / structure are removed and you can go wild.
Whats your setup?
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad it’s basic nothing fancy just fox 2.5 OEM replacement with of course the bajakits and bump stops and the rear your budget deaver progressive leaf springs it works perfect for me obviously not at extreme speeds like you guys but it does pretty good actually
For that rig, that’s a good enough setup to be a good all around rig. You should join us on a run one day to see the difference. We could even do side by side since.
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad yes definitely that would be awesome I would really love that I’m located in Long Beach not sure where you guys are at
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad I apologize if I sounded like a douche I didn’t meant it like definitely a huge difference in builds was just wondering why is it so expensive nowadays for pretty much everything but I didn’t mean nothing bad or negative
I love the way ecobeasts sound. Ive come to despise v8 sound with all the crying from people about raptors being v6's
lol. Lots of people crying over the small engine. The stock V8 trucks don’t impress me much anymore. But the supercharged V8s do. Like the one in this video. They just sound wild.
But stock for stock, the v6 is the better engine. More power and much peppier. It’s also the better balanced truck. Just wish guys would stop trying to make a v6 sound deep like a v6. Embrace the high speed noise from then and they sound so much better.
@KeepItDirtyOffRoad I wish I could get quality sound clip of my exhaust. I love the way it sounds.
