  • Antibiotics have been hailed as a "miracle drug" since the discovery of penicillin in 1928. But now, more bacteria are developing resistance to antibiotics, making them difficult or nearly impossible to treat. One recent study (www.cnn.com/20...) estimated that these so-called “superbugs” could cause nearly 40 million deaths worldwide between now and 2050. Dr. Sanjay Gupta speaks to researchers exploring the use of naturally occurring viruses that destroy bacteria, to see if they can be used as an alternative treatment method when all else fails, and before time runs out. This special report originally aired December 3rd, 2023.

How about we not let millions of people from 160+ countries enter the US with no vetting or medical checks? Ya think that could help? 🙄

I'm a Democrat and I agree. My employment took me to places in the world that were not tourist sites, needn't I say more. I think said people should not be deported, med checks and treatment available immediately upon entry... Our borders have never been setup properly to enable those to try for the American dream.. as ALL politicians talk without action.. ☮️🤓

Superbugs are a world-wide problem. It is caused by overusing anti-biotics. Bacteria adapt to anti-biotics and survive, and become superbugs. Cut down on the anti-biotics (mostly used in cattle!, and mostly in US cattle!) and we will be better protected. It is not migration, it's the meat you eat!

and bacteria will adapt to Bacteriophages too. Bacteriophages have been used in Eastern Europe for decades. Nothing new here!

@@Rachel299 And? The only thing Rogan did was receive a multi pronged, doctor recommended treatment for covid so that he could shake the bug quicker. The exact same drug cocktail that every single pro athlete in America received so that they could get back on the field faster.
Cnn conjured up people's fake outrage over it out of thin air.
Where was their outrage over athletes taking it?
If anything, that cocktail could have saved lives, lessened cases, and flattened the curve faster than anything else. If only it was made available to the public. Rogan completely shook covid in three days. Same for all those athletes.
