    From some of my square body friends, the 6.5's are still being produced in Mexico under GM license. Apparently, Bolivia, Argentina, Brazil and a few other countries still use the CUCV.

      None at all. Old 6.2 ones came out easily and the 6.5 Turbo ones went in just as simply.

    Good afternoon, friend, I have a question. Can you help me? I have a 6.2 diesel and I want to put a turbo in it. Something will be modified to the engine and which of the 8 modifications is the most economical since I don't have much money. Thank you

    • @TheAscendedMaster
      @TheAscendedMaster  10 месяцев назад

      Not sure I understand the question... What 8 modifications are you talking about.
      You'll need both 6.5 Turbo Exhaust Manifolds, non EGR 6.5 Intake Manifold & Plenum, Crossover Pipe, Turbo, Downpipe, Pump turned up, EGT Gauge and Boost Gauge.

      @@TheAscendedMaster The engine needs to be modified pistons etc.

      @@MiguelArce-s1b Not necessarily. Everything stock would work just fine and has for many others. What I have done to mine was mostly just to get the most HP & TQ I could from small improvements while I had everything apart.

      @@TheAscendedMaster Can you tell me the list that is needed to install the turbo? I want it to ride on the road, to go around with the family, something cheap

      @@MiguelArce-s1b Pretty much what I mentioned is what you'll need plus an oil feed for the turbo, oil drain. Optional things are a Oil Catch Can and a 6.5 Valve Cover for a CDR.

    What all is needed to convert my J code 6.2 diesel to a turbo setup? Mine is an 89 model 1 ton manual transmission.

    • @TheAscendedMaster
      @TheAscendedMaster  Год назад +1

      Really depends on what Turbo Setup you want to use. There are at least 8 different ways to Turbo these trucks so deciding which one you want can help get you started.

    How do u know what keep the fuel at when add a turbo and what size kit did u you use i just got one wanted make more power really nice bro !!!

    • @TheAscendedMaster
      @TheAscendedMaster  Год назад

      The standard from Banks is a 1/4 turn increase of fuel but can differ from build to build depending on modifications done. What size kit? Almost everything on my truck has been modified in some way and is by no means near any stock configuration.

      I have a square body suburban with a 6.2 I'm restoring and was planning on putting a banks sidewinder on it because I had one on my K5 back in the 80's and it ran great! When I called banks they no longer make that kit! Can I get a kit from you? Please send me a way to contact you.

    • @TheAscendedMaster
      @TheAscendedMaster  Год назад

      @@sjeppesen9 there are a few places online that you can swoop a full new kit from but will run you $2k-$5k. There are used Banks kits on Ebay which can be much cheaper. There are at least 8 different Turbo setups and 1 Supercharger setup for these engines. Research them all and figure what is best for the price.

      Would be cool if it was full kit. I searched and got all the pieces separately. As long as you know what you want, all you gotta do is look.
