Het is a god in this performance -- the voice is a powerhouse, the riff is colossal, Trujillo is punctuating the vocal and providing a mighty rumble. Damn. These guys are eating their vitamins. Looking forward to Denver 2017. I hope they play "One" at Sports Authority.

One thing I think Metallica does not get enough credit for...how many bands are still whole since the early 80s?? Not mention still relevant in their genre. That really seems to get overlooked with them being a band...especially as big as they are.

With the exceptions of Cliff's death and Jason leaving, they're still kickin ass. James, Kirk, and Lars have been consistently together for nearly 40 years! I think they'll keep playin until they physically can't anymore. I hope they eventually break a world record of a band that's been together the longest and stills plays live.

The guitar James is using is the one he used to record kill em' all, he kept playing it live until the neck snapped in 84. He got in restored in 08 and changes some stuff on it, pretty cool stuff man

I would take only a few pics, but man I'd be head bangin and goin fuckin crazy. Love Metallica. The band that got me playin drums. 12 years later and still playin to them. Lars' drum parts are actually more complex than one may think, and his double bass on some songs is a lot faster than it sounds. They're probably still one of the most covered bands ever. They have shred, groove, complexity, vocals, lyrics, everything. Metallica for Life! \M/ 🤘🏻😝🤘🏻I listen to them constantly. Never gets old.

Damn Hetfield's voice sound very good here, a bit more aggressive than it has been lately.
+batmankixass it's NOT his voice, it's Hetfield himself, he chooses if he wants to sing clean or raspy, low or high.
I assumed that was implicit, but I also specified his voice to distinguish his singing from guitar playing. But fine, Hetfield HIMSELF sings great here.
***** and his voice is awesome here, he is trying to sing it like on the record, but his voice is too low at this point, since he has grown older(as if nobody expected that0 and cracks when singing higher. Live he sings high, because of the guitar tone, imagine their current guitar tone and the one they've been using for 7-8 years with something like a AJFA or Load vocal style and sound, well that wouldn't sound good now would it? Though considering how much I dislike their live tone, I might just zone out the guitars and listen to the vocals if he did sing low and raspy. :D
Agree, he was being too much conservative this last 5-8 years, we need a James that gives it all with no worries, that is what metal is suposed to be.
