So you're watching the GODS, Metallica, perform though a cell phone, so you can watch it later? Put down your phone, the band playing in front of you is as HD as it gets. People really are getting dumber. Thanks, Trump!
Ikr? That part is so awesome! I was playing Harvester of Sorrow at my school and tried to get everyone to do that and everyone just sat there and stared at me like I was crazy. It was kind of embarrassing...
They were always polished , but IMHO James had two good tours in him to try and match the studio versions of Killem all and Ride the Lightning. Ill never forget Kill em All live, to me everything after that just sounded like he was growling. Even when they toured Justice for All he had a hard time with the pitch of some of the earlier songs. I don't know how he made it thru one song without his voice failing..lol
I goddamn guarantee you that the dude head-banging in the front row inspired a little extra juice outta the boys in this show. I fucking love the energy he brings to this. Makes me enjoy a great performance that much more....good job bro!!
i literally cant get over the last ike 1 minute 30 of the video watching james and lars fucking jamming so hard i can imagine it brings them back and makes them so pumped ! so epic seeing them right next to each other like old times jamming !!!!!
Saw them play The Stone Balloon in Wilmington, Delaware back in the late 80's. Small club and they useda different name on the billing. But word of mouth spread quickly and the club was Packed!!
Fucking goosebumps man….. god this is the holy grail of all music. This song is what made metal what it is today. THE GREATEST RIFF OF ALL TIME. I play guitar and I just sit sometimes and play this riff over and over and over. Kirk is the greatest riff master of all time. This and harvester and probably my favorite to play. Metallica will always be number one and that will never change, born in 93 and on my deathbed, this song is going to play at my funeral along with others. Long love the greatest band of all time 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Only problem with this performance: James doesn't say: "TIME! Has taken a *SHIT* on you!" @ 2:55 like he's done in the past, during some of his better shows. I dig that line change, it packs a punch. I guess he hasn't done that in years though, maybe even decades. Other than that, kick ass! \m/ \m/
+The Axalon yer shit I missed that!? ha but other than that it spot on even the sound is closer to Kill em all, James vocals are almost hitting those old high notes. I would love an old skool Metallica tour... with Newstead. (sorry Rob)
y is it that all the best riffs by Metallica are by other musicians? Although the two stock riffs on 'The thing that should not be", really carry that one through for the 7 minute duration
That guy in the front row...right...white wife beater...dark hair...I feel that's the same guy in the SF S&M front row stage left. Can anybody confirm?? Maybe he lurks here?? I'm dying to party with that guy. Got in the front row of two of my favorite all-time concerts. Come on!! Show yourself!!
+3zeekiel cause it's super epic on the CD but live it slows down the momentum of the song. the real question is why they always cut off the blackened solo
Respect to the three head bangers in the front with no cell phones.
Cellphones dont mean they arent enjoying it, to be fair, wouldnt you want to be able to relive that experience? I know i would want to!
Rogue Outbreak metallica already takes videos of their live performances so you don't have to. just headbang and live in the moment
respect 🤘

4 actually but yh they living in the moment
4:43 Great fill, Lars. Even James is like ''Woaah''
+Assib Blauw OH YEAHH?
+Veini Laakso FUCK YEAH!!
Dark Survivor Yeah i know, but Lars is not in the habbit of playing his original fills.
Great pick up
3:33 so cool =)
Ikr? That part is so awesome! I was playing Harvester of Sorrow at my school and tried to get everyone to do that and everyone just sat there and stared at me like I was crazy. It was kind of embarrassing...
+The Real Eric Mitchell I did it at a school show and everyone did it surprisingly
I feel like this song is severely underrated. It's one of my top 5 Metallica songs
Definitely one of the best songs in our Metallica universe
@KillaCrossover318 no shit. James perfected it though
1:35 thats some old school 92 James right there.
James existed before 92 you know
89*

1:01 thats some badass backing vocals there rob!!
3:20 My favorite part!!!
This record store day performance is my new favorite. The best Metallica show in terms of quality of sound and performance.
Fkn nailed it boys, spot on. James, you are killing it on vocals brother, fkn killing it. So good to see you having fun on stage & live.
James thats how I remembered you, giving everything ont he stage!
2:35 Kirk is like; "WTF DUDE!?! SPEED IT UP!!!" and Lars: "Oh, OK" :)
Hear Cliff Burton In the distance "COME ON LARS"
DAMN he heard him slowing down!
Loving the old school sound!! can't wait for the new album aswell
That was a GREAT play through of that song! Song is packed with riffs over 30 years old, amazing ones too.
6:05 "Play a new song" "Dude, what?!" James knows they've gotta go old school for this show lol
what happened to Hetfield's voice? It has gained old power again..
They're recording so he's been taking care of it lately
Because he's got old... like he's 36 years older than when he first recorded this song.
The song sounds more refined now
The white wizard did not fall through fire and death to treet such comments
James voice it's back from 80s! *_*
Only because how the intro sounds, I now want them to play this on s&m2
Tyche Fortuna That would be cool SM 2
best tallica concert ever, James is on fire
They sound great but does anyone else miss the "aw yeah yeah!" part? Lol
i miss the first solo, you know the 'sweet home alabama' part
Tor Tex me too
i bet James might regret all the drinking and life he had, since it cost him that amazing great powerful voice he had
I kind of miss the first solo.
Josh Robinson
They need to put there fuckin phonez away and start a mosh pit.
I goddamn guarantee you that the dude head-banging in the front row inspired a little extra juice outta the boys in this show. I fucking love the energy he brings to this. Makes me enjoy a great performance that much more....good job bro!!

+LettuceDuck james
The Bomb jaymz
+LettuceDuck *james
Bringing back to their early days, when they used to perform at the gig with a little bit bigger stage.
i literally cant get over the last ike 1 minute 30 of the video watching james and lars fucking jamming so hard i can imagine it brings them back and makes them so pumped ! so epic seeing them right next to each other like old times jamming !!!!!
Best live performance of four horsemen in the history of Metallica. The riders of Rohan would be proud!
I bet James, Lars and Kirk be like "ahh back when metallica performed in clubs"
They had Dave when they performed in clubs
+Nolantis ohh yeah, my bad, sorry for the mistake
Saw them play The Stone Balloon in Wilmington, Delaware back in the late 80's. Small club and they useda different name on the billing. But word of mouth spread quickly and the club was Packed!!
Rob performed in bars and clubs with Suicidal and Infectious Grooves
Always LOVED this song! Metallica 4 life! David Curtis Drumming
is the amazing little scream at 1:29 real or am i dreaming?
I know. Maybe James has finally learn to sing again after he ruined his voice 25 years ago
taylanboz That sounded like shit. Jesus you Metallica fan boys are delusional as fuck.
Anthony Avila even non metallica fans know that James is One of the best singers

i am still hoping they played album version of The Four Hoursemen
YES! This is what I'm talking about! 🤘🤘🤘
Metallica is never going repeated, "were taking over" in the 1980's 1990's,.
Great sound for such a small gig
Old school Metallica. awesome stuff
The downpicking sounds amazing!!
solo still sounds amazing
I'd advise everyone to check out this whole show.Lars is whooping old school ass on that kit!!
@2:10 "Metal up your ass"
This is fucking awesome none of that medley shit the full songs!!! take Kill em all on the road!
sadly....not the full song...they missed the slow pretty part...
love the new "choose your fate and die..."
+The Axalon you mean the part that kinda sounds like sweet home alabama?
+The Axalon yer shit I missed that!? ha but other than that it spot on even the sound is closer to Kill em all, James vocals are almost hitting those old high notes. I would love an old skool Metallica tour... with Newstead. (sorry Rob)

lmao the guy with the white top going bananas
oh shit ,still sound right
Holy shit that was awesome they never play the centerpiece 🤘🤘
Lol that security camera in the back is getting the most epic view
Oh, James actually makes an effort to emulate his shrill voice from back in the day. Not a big fan of todays Metallica. But for this one, respect!
me carga q metallica nunca haga la version completa
Better than Seattle 89 ;)
James voice back in 1984
Is my ears deceiving me or did Lars do the triplets in the beginning?
understendd
Best Horsemen preformens ever
3:10 nice growl
Did not understand!!! And where is the transition to the ballad and the solo from it; my favorite moment (
Wow... James is doing really well on that one .. and he is in his mid-fifties
I love how Kirk ends the main solo!!
4.44🤘🤘🤘
This so damn good but wish James just stopped trying to sing them high notes
best from metallica
1:29 James!
y is it that all the best riffs by Metallica are by other musicians? Although the two stock riffs on 'The thing that should not be", really carry that one through for the 7 minute duration
Не понял!!! А где медленный проиграш и соляк от него?? Мой любимый момент(
Thats good
Far cry from San Diego '92
and afterwards they are playing basketball 2 on 2; sleeves vs tanks
That guy in the front row...right...white wife beater...dark hair...I feel that's the same guy in the SF S&M front row stage left. Can anybody confirm?? Maybe he lurks here?? I'm dying to party with that guy. Got in the front row of two of my favorite all-time concerts. Come on!! Show yourself!!
Metallica kick but man they are awesome man :)
I like the double bass version better from “Kill 'Em All.”
Bad Fuckin Ass none the less!
#MetallicaFuckingRules! #LarsIsTheMan!

6:13 "Seek and Destroy!" "No"
Grandpa, kick my brain!!!)))
had no idea this was remake of gamma four horseman
Ban mobilephones! Ofc you can go home and watch the set you never saw live actually.
Why the fuck don't they ever play the first solo come on man...
+3zeekiel cause it's super epic on the CD but live it slows down the momentum of the song. the real question is why they always cut off the blackened solo
james could sing like he did in the past, but he wont resist more than 2 songs that way, is very tiring sing on that way at his age
unreal
little tribute to Lemmy right there \m/
where is the 1st solo? its awesome
The mechanix!
