James’s parents were Christian Scientists, and they raised him in the VERY strict religious code of it. They also didn’t believe in any sort of medical treatments, as they believe the body is just a shell. After his parents divorced, his mother was diagnosed with cancer, but as per her religious beliefs, refused any medical care. She died a short while later, and he moved in with his older half-brother when he was around 16.
Interesting. I’m not sure what Christian scientist people believe but i guess they try to use the Bible as a science book I’m guessing! What could go wrong? 😂 I say that as a Christian myself.
"It's a typical Metallica intro." It is the first time they ever did an intro like that and... hold on, let me just listen to the ENTIRE DISCOGRAPHY... yep, the last time.
Hi. I really like your band called Flame Imperishable off y'all album "Glory and Ruin" which is a great record. Metallica's Dyers Eve off their iconic 1988 album ...And Justice For All is by far the most aggressive thrash metal song they have ever recorded on the album.
It’s funny, some of her favorite bands have been heavily influenced by Metallica so on paper, she should really like them. I think she’ll eventually warm up…. Songs on my list for her include: Four Horsemen, King Nothing, MoP, Creeping Death, Unforgiven, but as an instrumental Orion could show her a new facet of their melodic nature! Good call!
She is such a Goddess!! …I would listen to Justin Bieber if she told me to!! Ha! 🎉. & if Metallica doesn’t work… grab some tequila & put on some Sammy Hagar!! Lol

One of my faves from them. Aggressive as hell.
Same here! Just love the energy and anger in his vocal delivery. I really feel what he’s feeling.
The band called Me and That Man with song called Under the Spell ft Mary Gore Aka Tobias Forge from Ghost
James, lead singer, rhythm guitarist and songwriter, was raised a Christian Scientist with STRICT parents. ‘Nuff said… 🤷♂️

Dyers Eve and The unforgiven pretty much explain Hetfields upbringing

Thank you so much!!
While I love “Dyer’s Eve”, “dear mother, dear father!!”, maybe something a little less hard, like “Orion”? You know, to ease her in a bit.

20 years!? When did you start trying? When she was four!?!?!
Haha! 18 actually 🥹
One of the greatest double bass songs ever. Fucking going off
Metallica's best pure thrash song IMO- slightly ahead of Disposable Heroes
Anything off the first 3 albums will do it, if not then nothing will
pure power

She’s more of a whiskey/scotch gal 😉
It's a classic but I don't know if it's a good introduction to Metallica. I'd go with more something like The God That Failed.
I was thinking of showing her Nothing Else Matters next?
@@FlameImperishable Oh yeah. Fade to Black and The Unforgiven would be great choices too.
I would go with momma said
You can't force someone into music
React to Children Of Bodom
Oh good idea, which song?
@@FlameImperishable Kissing The Shadows
You can tell when someone refuses to try something new, and it’s frustrating to watch.
Альбом хороший,но там нет баса.
Jeez, calm down...20 yrs?? It's not her thing, man 🤷
Trivium is one of her favorite bands and they're hugely influenced by Metallica. Just thought it would be fun to show her some old stuff.
