Good Video, I had your system done to my Cummins at Pittsburgh Power on Jan, 2 2018. So far so good, got about 25k on it and its running great.

From my understanding that the systems will all work perfectly ( I do think they are bullshit and should be removed though ) , and with out trouble . IF the engine does too . I had to have the complete system replaced by Kenworth on my truck good thing it was under warranty , with less that 65000 miles on the truck . Why because I had one bad injector . And that caused all the problems . Then he egr cooler was replaced . Keep in mind all the parts where of a newer design . ( i guess the older design was defective ?) But I do think if that injector didn't fail the older design would have never had to be replaced ? Now as a side question this seems like a lot of work to keep the environment clean . At our expense .

In the past I just run that Lucas DPF deep clean 64oz bottle treats basically 120 gallons the first time I did it I bought me two bottles to one on each side let that go through and it at least once a month because I was High idling and it was cold out I put one 64 oz bottle every month just to make sure between that product and Lucas upper cylinder lubricant it would say that I would have to do a Regen I hit the button 5 minutes later it's back at 600 RPM you just need to be proactive on your maintenance and watch everything the only time you realistically doing something like this is when you fucked up but that's my humble professional opinion

  • @LMacNeill

Is this only for big trucks, or will it work on a 2012 VW TDI Sportwagen with the 2.0L turbodiesel? Not that I need a new DPF at the moment (knock on wood), but the car's got almost 190K miles on it, so it's gonna need it eventually... A new DPF is $1,400 just for the part alone, probably another $400 to $600 to install it... If this treatment can be done for, say, $500 to $1,000, that's a big savings... (BTW, the 2012 Sportwagen does *not* have the urea-injection emissions controls on it. That didn't come along until 2015, I believe... It's only a standard cat and DPF.)

If the majority of DPF clogging is from metallic oil ash particulate, wouldn't any metallic oil particulate suspended in the EGR soot be collected in the DFP during this process? Even with running a regen afterwards, the metallic ash would remain in the DFP, I would think a DPF cleaning or swap would be necessary after this service is done.

To be clear, that was a truck that had not used our system in the lifetime of the engine until this point. Using our service at regular intervals will ensure that the EGR system will not get to this point.

Costly.. inefficient. And doesn't do what could be achieved by simply allowing the motor not to be restricted by filtering particulates.. the real solution to better emissions and less particulates is simple. Get rid of the ela. And government entanglements. And corruption by marketers and politicians lining their pockets. And produce a lower emissions motor very easily. By getting a better gas mileage motor. Simple. Better gas mileage means less particulates in the air. Without killing the engine. Which is what takes place. They can't make a motor go a million miles with the filters and many times they can't warranty the motor for more than a half million miles before the engine blows because of the particulates filters. Many times the motor won't last beyond 200000 miles. I knew a trucker a couple of years ago who lost his Cummings x15 engine after 100000 miles on a brand new paternity. They rebuilt the motor and he had them take the red bullshit off the truck because of that. There's the problem. Plus the Inviromental damage done by using sad is even worse for the environment. Explaining why California has so many problems with wild fires. The sad has pig piss in it and drugs out the atmosphere so much and causes the environment to turn into a matchbox leading to wildfires. And they refuse to see it. Pointing out that you don't see black exhaust out of tailpipe exhaust. Conclusions. Dad systems are a complete Inviromental hazard. And a complete failure. But I'm sure some people have got very rich over it.
