Dan is one of my all time favorite singers/lyricists.
Following this one I would go with another classic in "Starlight Brigade." TWRP featruing NSP, more fantastic animation like we've been seeing, and another masterpiece of imagination from Danny. He's performed on songs for several band and has even just launched a new band Shadow Academy with Jim Roach. You could most certainly also check out their new song "White Whale."

NSP (aka Ninja Sex Party) is a comedy band. It's lead singer, Dan Avidan, is the vocalist on this song, and does occasional non-comedy songs with other bands (and just released stuff from a side project called Shadow Academy). NSP's backing band is TWRP who has their own songs and albums outside of NSP, and Dan has done vocals for some of their songs as well. As many have suggested, Starlight Brigade is a phenomenal track and video.
NSP started as very "Comedy duo with some music skills but focus on laughs"
As they brought in TWRP to their own songs they took the music itself more seriously
Danny in other projects like TWRP as a vocalist or here with Night Runner is far more serious
Shadow Academy gives more of the like... 70/80's power rock if that makes sense? Feels more like what Danny lists as his inspirations, Rush, etc
Then there's Skyhill, far fewer songs out under that name, but it's more pop rock with a touch of EDM. SUPER ethereal vocals though, really undervalued as one of Danny's Projects IMO (not for lack of fans, just that it's not as widespread overall)
There's also an unofficial track where he put out vocals over Ratatat's "Loud Pipes" that's really really good

And the more you watch it and pay attention the more depth and world built for just this video and song is brilliant.
The plot of the story up to the start of the song is actually shown in the last few pictures after you stopped. Basically Circle won a ton of money playing something at a casino. Then celebrated by buying Triangle his leather jacket. Then after that he apparently went back and something happened because there was then a police bulletin about him being wanted for burning down a casino and the last image is Circle and all the other wolves in the start trying to guard the case of gold while the Elk and his goons are staring them down at the entrance of the bar or whatever.
The symbolism of him riding the bullet and dropping to his knees in pain and then appearing to roar out his anguish as the bullet flies towards his revenge is one of the rawest, most visceral, most powerful, and most original bits of symbolic imagery i've seen. its so simple, and seems almost obvious in hindsight, yet i've never seen it before watching this video. outside of the amazing transitions and awesome music, it's my favorite part of the video.

Yup, this one and 'Starlight Brigade' are definitely my two favorite songs featuring Dan Avidian, but 'Release the Kraken' and 'Mansion Party' are also more than worth a listen.

I've listened to this song a few times but never really paid much attention to the animation until I watched it one day and noticed there was a story here. This story slaps harder when you notice the finer details, as well as the pictures in the credits. They offer some more perspective, and here is what I gathered so far.
Circle won the case containing gold bars from Klondike's casino, the casino then accused Circle of cheating and tried to get the money back. Circle escaped the casino with help from the rest of the group and used some of the gold he won from the casino to buy clothes for Triangle. Klondike sets fire to his own casino and puts a bounty on Circle because he is an evil corrupt bastard obsessed with money, he sent goons to get the gold back. Circle buys the crew drinks at the nightclub while Triangle and Star are out buying things. Star sees the message board and informs Triangle, they start making their way back to the Nightclub. The goons show up and demand the gold. Circle-Wolf wouldn't hand over the gold, so the goons shot everyone, the only survivor of the event being Square. Triangle and Star arrive too late, and we all know what happens next.
This story should be a movie or an anime, like the furry version of cowboy bebop. The idea of Triangle using the weapon of his dearly departed lover to avenge him is priceless. (The revolver is first sighted laying on the ground next to circle. I call them lovers because the animation and the pictures in the credits portray them doing things that are typically reserved for couples.) It's like the mint you get after eating a meal prepared by a Michelin Star chef in a well-to-do dinning establishment.
Amazing synopsis! You spotted details I had missed. Now I have to go back and try to spot them.

Night Runner is fantastic, their album Starfighter an amazing collection of 80s synthwave music. Highly recommend.
Not going to lie, everytime I see that scene where he fires the gun and he is riding the bullet. I think of Captain Ahab. 'And if his chest had been a cannon he would have fired his heart upon the beast.' In that scene you can feel the catharsis of firing all his pain and rage with that bullet to bring an end to his foe.
In addition to all of their good original songs, dan avidan's band, nsp, also makes some pretty good covers of older songs. I particularly enjoy their covers of africa by toto and heat of the moment by asia

Dan is also part of Star Bomb, another comedy band, with Game Grumps co-host Arin Hanson. Their music and music videos are video game inspired. Game series such as Super Mario Bros., Legend of Zelda, and Metroid are the basis of several humorous songs.
I know I’m a year late but, if you haven’t seen the end credits. Yes, the Circle Wolf played poker and won the cash price. The antagonist put a price on his head, so he was wanted; which resulted in him killing the wolf. When the brother (Triangle Wolf), shot the last bullet to kill the Moose, my theory is he didn’t want to kill him because he’s not a killer but he would do whatever he can to avenge his brother. I say this theory because of how he was dancing (almost crying) when the bullet was flying towards the moose.

Ever seen Lone Digger by Caravan Palace? would be a good one, I think.
What the reactor doesn't understand is that this story is in the cyberpunk genre. The big bad corporate/gangster kills all your buddies, and then the peaceful guy must turn to violence to avenge the killing.
This is done by arming oneself and seeking out the killer in their lair. Descending the staircase means becoming someone you arent, or have sworn off, like John Wick (who left the world of violence). Ascending the staircase means that you've become someone you I u weren't.
Walking in shoes that shine with blood that isn't his shows that he's done things, but survived and that the gangster should have taken that into consideration.
I understand the reactors confusion since he's not familiar with cyberpunk stories but it seemed pretty obvious even when I first saw it.
