Going out today with a buddy of mine I believe, I'll be making an attempt at catching my first fish on jerkbait. Subsurface at least, I do all right with the top Waters😊
Had a buddy recommend this. Haven’t tried it yet for fall.. that e front hooks off the lipless, at a spinner ( willow for clearer water, tortoise or Colorado for dirty, he said) and go one size up on the rear trebles … he jig or yo-yos the most I think. But, interested in trying it. I try to FISH DIFFERENT (
Since the shad are now schooled up in my river in Ohio I have been using gizzard shad or sexy shad Strike king 1.5 squarebills. They are working good at the moment. Also a wacky rig in green pumpkin or black with blue flake I always have tied on a rod. Today I saw a bass chasing a shad to the surface so I tossed a bps bleeding shad popper and it hammered it. I got it in and it was a pb 3lb 12oz Largemouth! Not bad for a $2.99 lure lol. Just got some Zoom super flukes in white pearl and a Strike king gizzard shad wake bait to try out. I will throw a sexy dawg jr or choppo 105 also some times.
I’ve been starting off with a chatterbait and then moving to a bluegill spinner if that’s not doing it. Been slaying largies with the Zman slingbladez last 2 months straight. Trying ploppers and buzzbaits but the top water bites be 💩 around me all summer. Maybe too much rain? 🤨. Going to try a jerk bait this fall too but haven’t thrown them before so going in with low expectations for myself.
I'll never complain about the wind, at least you guys have water. The Japanese keep draining the lakes and ponds here in Southern Japan. Then again, bass fishing is not as popular as saltwater fishing here. :(
12:25 missile baits mini d chunk
I love the coleslaw big blade wit a pink fluke for the trailer
Yea im one of them who prefer a spinnerbait 😊
My most toxic trait is building a spring box and using it all year long 😂
😂
Top 8!

The super flukes work good also! I got 3 Largemouth on them today before it rained.
