That stinks. Jason Day appears to be a fine human being and it's always a delight when I see him off the course. You can bet his mother is the biggest reason for that. Two comments. First I find it interesting that both Bridgestone and Srixon are primarily tire companies making incredible golf balls . Second, Bridgestone confuses me with their array of golf balls. It seems that they have twice the number of choices than the other companies, makes it hard to decide.

I play the Tour B RXS. Love the feel off the putter. Primary reason why I switched. But when the price went up it’s just another ball on the market. It was a no brainer before due to the performance and added value. Soon I’m going to test the TP5. I’ve played the 5 proto but never the store ball. Pro v1x still feels harsh off a non insert putter. I’m older and grew up with Tour Balata 90’s. So I’m still looking for that feel.

I'm a big fan of Bridgestone golf balls. My swing speed is moderate, so I play the Tour B Rx. I have tried some of the others, and they are all good. I recently bought a pack of E12 Contact and they are also very good especially at that price point.
The one small criticism in general is that the cover isn't as durable as some others; however, they are substantially cheaper than a box of Pro V1. I did find and use one of the new Pro V1 balls recently, it did seem to be more durable than the Bridgestone but it didn't have that nice soft feel, although I did enjoy playing with it.
I'll stick with my Bridgestones; they are excellent balls!

For an average golfer like myself who only has a swing speed between 85-90 and only hits the driver around 200 yards, one particular golf ball over another doesnt really make that big a difference. I have tried several different brands and all of them are great and go about the distance for me. Now for those that do have swing speeds over 110 mph, a particular golf ball may make a big difference. Plus being able to spin the balls on the green. So the high end golf balls are for the better golfers, but not for my style of play. I now rely more on my short game to score. thanks for the video. take care.
I do find some of these high quality golf balls that end up out of bounds, so I get most of these free by other golfers straying off the golf course.

I've used the majority of premium golf balls (pretty much all but srixon) and have settled on Bridgestone. The main reason is durability. I can have an 18 hole round and the ball will last before I bin it, which as an unsponsored hacker is important to me. With the ProV I found I was basically binning a ball every five holes more or less because of the way it cut up. I will say that anecdotally from what I've seen on course, the Bridgestone is longer, but I reckon the Titleist is actually a straighter flight

I actually like that little bit of extra runout. It’s easier to hole them. I hit full shots pretty high anyway, so it’s not a problem. I find the Bridgestone B XS is the best golf ball on the planet IF you are a 5 handicap or less, or are a very good ball striker. Why? Cause they give you virtuosic control over spin and feel around the greens, it also gives you ultimate control over your shot shaping.. BUT the catch is, with that extra control, which comes from more spin, your misses will be Amplified because of that. So your big misses get bigger cause the ball responds so faithfully to what you give it.. Most players will play better with a harder less spinny ball because it will make their big misses smaller while sacrificing a bit of greenside feel and shot shaping ability.

I've played the Bridgestone E-6 and E-12 prior to using Srixon. I bought two boxes of Srixon Q-Star tour when they were on sale and have stuck with them. I've found little difference if any in performance but the Srixon feels firmer to me than the Bridgestone and to my eye a brighter white, easier to pick up in the air. I'm getting a little older and that's a real benefit. Both are excellent for my slower swing speed.

For me, the ProV1 is the best putting golf ball made. Since I putt more than anything else, that's what I use. I've given away dozens of brand new Callaways won at tournaments because they feel like hitting a marshmallow with a putter. Not sure if these are any less expensive, but I'll give Bridgestone's a roll this season to see what they're all about. Thanks for all of what you do!

Each Manufacturer makes a Quality ball for specific demographics (Age, Talent Level, Swing Speed etc...), as you get better, you graduate to a better ball and its performance...THUS, IMHO, your ball should be fitted to you like your clubs (if you can afford to get fitted clubs)! Compression wise, there are balls that are too soft, and too hard for me to hit with my swing speed (average 92ish after I'm warmed up...65 years old). I've found that a ball in the 80-100 range (Sweet Spot between 85-95), compression wise (regardless of manufacturer), suits me, my talent and my swing speed best.
Thus, I play several different balls based on the course and conditions I'm playing (depends on width of fairways, hilly or not etc...), whether I want/need a high, mid or lower launch ball, a softer cover vs a harder cover, a 2-Piece vs 3-Piece vs 4-piece or 5-piece ball...Basically, I try to select the Best Tool for that day's outing!!!
There are several Bridgestone balls I like, as well as several Calloway, Srixon, TaylorMade and Titleist balls too (not Pro V1 though, for some reason, I can't hit it...BUT, I can hit the Pro V 1X...Don't ask me why!!!) However, Kirkland has a Damn Good ball...So does Inesis, OnCore, Pinnacle Rush, Max-Fli, Seed, Snell, Vice, Volvik, Wilson...And Top-Flight's Gamer is a Gamer, as well as the New 3-piece Urethane Spalding SD Tour X. The ball is just another tool of the game we play...Select The Right Tool for The Right Round!!!

The first Bridgestone ball I purchased was the Tour B RX, and that was about 2 weeks ago. I like them! I can't make a ball backspin on the green but when I hit the green I get one bounce and stop. 2 days ago, hit 8 iron 160, landed 3ft from the pin, and the ball divot was just 1ft from where it stopped. So when this model has pretty good stopping power with irons. Next, I'm going to try the Tour B XS. Off-topic, I also like the Srixion Z Star. It goes far, straight and stops like the B RX.

Depends on your meaning of best. Is it what’s best for you individually, that could be any brand. But if you take the research as far as quality control then it’s Titleist hands down. I have been testing out 2 different balls. The Bridgestone B XS and the PV1x. Both are very good I do like the B XS slightly better around the greens.

Telling the names of the Bridgestone premier range of balls is actually dead easy. They all have if it has an R, it's designed for more moderate clubhead speeds (up to about 100 mph). If it has an S, it's a higher-spinning ball. They all start with "Tour B", and then you have
X: Lower spin, for fast swingers (Bryson, Matt Kuchar, and Jason Day play this one),
XS: Aimed at fast swingers who want more spin (Tiger's ball)
RX: Less spin, for people with more average clubhead speed (Lexi Thompson uses this)
RXS: Moderate swing speed, more spin (played by Fred Couples).

I play a lot of mini golf.
Got to say that high spin balls are not suitable as they bounce off side walls to fast.
Yellow Volvik seem to be best ball, however grand daughter always has a good score using a bright red no name ball

Their naming is pretty simple. Tour B is their trademark, used on clubs etc. R series balls are for swing speed under 105mph. The is a spinny version and a less spinny version. Then there is the non R version which are for club head over 105.

One of the reasons I started playing Bridgestone balls consistently around 10 years ago was because no one really played them. It was different, it was never “What number is it?” And, to this day, I still don’t get it. But I have settled in on Bridgestone Tour BX. I have tried ChromeSoft X, ProV1X, TP5X, Vice, Z Star XV. None of them felt like the Bridgestone. Durability is spot on, quality is spot on, consistent and comfortable. Unless something changes, I foresee the Bridgestone ball in my ball for a long long time.

I switched to Bridgestone when Nike stoped making the Tour D balls. It was the closest ball to the Nike Tour D that I found. The current model I am using is the Tour B RX. A few weeks ago I came across several articles/interviews that confirmed Bridgestone was making the Nike balls right up to and excluding the Resin balls. I had not heard of the rumors up until then, but I do know that the feel and performance of the Bridgestone balls matched that of the Nike Tour D when I mad the switch years ago.

I played the ProV 1 for years, really back then the only premium golf ball out there when I play in the mid single digit cap. I got away from the game for quite a few years ( close to 10 years ) did even look at my clubs during that time off. Coming back to the game in the last two years I have been using the BRX and find it to be as good in every way as the ProV at a better price point. On the plus side I like the cover which seem to be brighter and more durable on the spin mills.

I was playing the B-RX when I could get the previous generation for $35/dozen. It's a good ball that's long off irons and driver, mainly because it's extremely low spin and fairly soft. Now I'm playing the Vice Pro and Pro Soft. They both had really good numbers in both MGS tests - 2019 and 2021 - although they got no love at all from MGS for some reason. Probably because they don't say "Titleist" on them. But Titleist does have the best QC - no question.

I have just returned to golf after having 2 years off only to discover my belovered WS Duo Professional has been shelved and now I have started playing the B RXS (61 compression) and love it so far. I'd like to note that I think Bridgestones naming is actually really really easy to understand and I believe they are the ONLY company making a tour level ball specifically for the slower swing speeds of avg golfers with the BRX and BRXS. I also think because of this they do decently on the champions tour as well.

Srixon Soft Feel Brite Green - For me, they are the easiest to find and spot (which might surprise some but the green often 'pops' against the grass). I've paid between £15 and £20 a dozen, which I think is reasonable for my first choice ball.
I do play other balls that I find around the course during a round, but the green Srixon is my go-to in a comp or any serious game. (23.6 on the index player BTW)
