    I had these problems in some pieces but didn't understand why, so thanks for this easy to understand construction video,

    I love your video. Very informative. Loved your thought process on each piece with their unique characteristics. Only thing I would say in future videos about making pieces is "as an artist you need to design your edges". This is what makes this technical artistry so fun to do. Another thing... "As you become more familiar with the medium, the more you can get it to do what you want. 'Planned accidents' " THANK YOU for your videos!!!

    I always have problems when using frit - I think I have enough on there and the glass pulls in! TFS all these ideas!

    I love the way you explain things. We all have errors, that is the way to learn. you can always do something else with the mistake.

    All your art pieces are beautiful. What kind of kiln do you use?

      Most of my kilns are Skutt but I also use evenheat and Denver glass machinery in my studio.

    Is there a difference when tack fusing? I'm tack fusing a series of frit xmas trees on single layer white rectangles. They aren't changing shape.

    Lisa I can’t remember where I saw this or from whom but it was mentioned you had to be careful of putting food on some of the glass fusing a person creates. Do you know anything about it. By the way I learn so much from you. Thank you.

    • @LisaVogtglassartist
      @LisaVogtglassartist  Год назад

      Yes! I made a video on this subject I will put the link for it here. You can put food on fused glass you just have to make sure it is capped with a clear layer on top. The reasoning is they use certain chemicals to create the different colors of glass and you don't want that to seep into your food. Hope this helps!

    Just stopped the piece I started firing an hour ago after seeing this. How do you add enough frit at edge so it does not pull in? Dam it? All sides or just frit sides. Dam with? TYIA

    Why did none of my beginning instructors present this important information to me?
