I have heard that adding a tiny amount of water to your stone or sand paper, sands the glass with a nicer finish. Also sands quickly.

Thank you for this! My microwave kiln and glass pieces are currently in a box because I was a bit scared of it. But now I might take them out of the box and at least look at them. 😁

One step at a time 😁😁 I understand being a little nervous. I was when I first started but it is really pretty simple. You just have to remember that you are working with really hot items. And don't be too disappointed if some of your projects don't turn out. Thanks for watching. 🙂

This is so interesting!! Thank you so much for sharing. Do you know if it’s safe to do this in the same microwave you cook food in?

Hi thanks for watching. I am sorry I don't have a definitive answer for you. I have a couple of different kilns and one say to clean the microwave thoroughly before and after fusing the other one recommends having a dedicated microwave for fusing.

No it's not safe to use the microwave you use for food ,fusing glass and the kiln paper/fibre paper give off toxins

Fantastic tutorial. Is it possible to put confetti glass in the already fired impression and refire again?

Hi thanks for your question. You can fuse the glass more the once but I don't think the impression will hold its shape without the fusing paper. I haven't ever used confetti glass so I don't know if it would take the shape of the impression but I think it might blend together more than you want it to. Sorry I don't have a clearer answer. Thanks for watching.

Grain from fusing paper. Wash paper with an agent like fumed silica, dry, then sand with fine grit on another piece of glass. You can get 10,000 grain!🤗😇

You only need 4 pounds of pressure to properly cut glass. You will have a cleaner cut with less shards.

If I added the coil of wire to the glass before fusing, would the wire melt?

Hi - I believe that it would melt and I wouldn't want to put the metal in my microwave. Thanks for watching.
