Apple vs Samsung! Who takes it the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Camera or the iPhone 11 Pro Max Camera?
Galaxy note 10 plus vs Galaxy note 20 ultra camera comparison video please
Sorry guys I meant 108MP instead of 100MP on the sensor. You know what I meant it was literally a late night edit mistake. Thanks for understanding 🙏
Please compare the camera to huawei p40 pro +
Note 20 ultra takes iphone finally.
With the zoom options and better wide angle , the note imo. If your an apple user, the camera is still amazing. Too bad with the ultra wide night shots though.
The iPhone ages so well. I can’t wait to see this same comparison with the iPhone 12 Pro but props to the Note 20 Ultra. The images are really crisp and I love the newer color science Samsung is using.
I agree. Samsung always had the tendency to oversharp images, but these images look very good.
Samsung killed it this year but yeah the iPhone 12 might be the one to watch out for.
That's debatable since the xs camera is the same as the iPhone 11 so I wouldn't be expecting too much especially since it's rumored to still have a 60hz screen wich is very bad compared to averages now
@@picnicscoot1822 The XS and 11 are night and day. 11 blows away the XS. No need for anything more than the 11 camera in my opinion.
Once again if you are going to compare cameras then use the BEST MODE on the ultra which is pro raw. People who care about pics want the BEST you can get out of a camera and you didn't do that. Compare the ultra with its best mode regardless of what the iphone has or does not. I personally use pro raw on all pics and it renders MUCH better than what you show.
Crazy to see samsung with the more natural colors, great comparison though 👏
Till you decide to talk a selfie in indoor lighting. Comes out soft.
How do you know if it's natural? You are only seeing what the pictures show you.
Natural colours is Samsung??! L😂L
@@markfmyt no. The sky may be dark blue, sky blue, orange, black and many other shades of colors depending on the situation. Same for the grass.
@@catboy3471 but in 7:04 can u see? The color of grass on samsung more realistic than ip. Confused little bit :D
Definitely can agree with that statement of software improvements. Been using my S10+ over a year and the camera processing is so different from launch, completely different camera.
For better or worse? I'm guessing for better.
@@rbdgr8370 Way way better. At launch S10 series processing was horrendous. Now it's amazingly good. The night mode made jumps I didn't think were possible.

Why no one is asking for Note 10+ vs Note 20 ultra camera comparison?
I will get to that soon 💪🏻
Because Note 20 is clearly better?
@@BmwAlfa123 so it means that you shouldn't do a comparison? I don't think so.
And actually it Isn't CLEARLY better. It's better on paper
@@dannywinget thank you 😇✌🏽
@@bartuch426 It's clearly better. The S20 Ultra was clearly better, and the Note 20 just imrpoves on it based on every review.
Galaxy Note 20 Ultra camera stabilization 🔥🔥🔥🔥
But due to this stabilization there are less of details
You have the best camera comparisons of all youtubers by far. Keep up the good work
Thank you!
Agreed too, you did a stunning job
Big fan of Samsung, I own note 10+
But I am not gonna lie iphone's camera alogaritm is very good!
Hopefully on the next software updates, the note 20 ultra will see improvements.
It always does not even thinking about the same hardware adopted yet. Imagine Iphone does the same in the future.
I have note 10 plus and s20ultra i have note ultra in spet
@Why You Want Me To Suffer NOt every single way. Colors are still over saturated on the note 20 with no way of stopping it, it's ability to focus on something is limited due to its large censor, it'll often blur stuff around it took close. Also when you walk or run often you'll see this shaking jitter to the video unlike the iphone.
These are real issues that the best reviewers have stated. The camera aren't perfect.
Why You Want Me To Suffer Hello Samsung fan boy.
@@tribhuvanbandaru2646 hello iphone fan boy😃😃😃 i have an iphone but i want to move to note 20 ultra.
Holy Smokes. That background blur on Note 20 Ultra in 7:35 image is insane.
@tom lewis yeah due to that, area of focus is quite small.
Take me to DisneyWorld with you! Agreed about Samsung’s weird way of capturing clouds.
When all this stuff settles down come down here and we will do that! Got a place you can stay too! It would be fun.

"My Favourite Two RUclipsrs".
U can turn on HDR to always on the camera settings. I use this one when i think i need hdr on this particular situation
turning it always is not suitable for every situation.what dan is saying is that the auto hdr on the note is note smart enough.
Let me know where that is. They took away that toggle.
@@dannywinget camera- settings- hdr.. I have this on my note 10+. One Ui 2.1. Not sure about 2.5. you can choose between "Hdr apply when needed" or "always apply"
@@ashtonsequeira9757 That's the thing. When auto hdr doesn't kick in and u think its needed. Just turn on always apply hdr. Take the pic and change it back to apply when needed
I love that when you made reviews you are not bias. You even explained the significance of each camera sensors. Love it and auto subscribe! ❤️
Wow 11 pro max is my favorite and has louder and clear audio too. Yeah those issues with exposure on the note can be fixed with softaware, I remember the note10+ came out like that and it improved
As an ordinary user with a normal sets of eyes, they are just the same. If you upload the photos to FB which we usually do, you won't be getting the quality that these handsets are producing.
And that's the problem. When I post my videos and pictures on social media, the quality decreases and it forefeits the point of having a great camera. I only see the beauty in my gallery.
@@davidn.2555 Yeah. Only noticeable things are dynamic range and micro-contrast. Stabilization also helps. But that's it really. Bokeh is kinda normal nowadays because everyone has portrait mode.
@@Samosayummyyay everything is noticeable once u examine on a monitor u can't compare true details on 2.6" sensors vs newer larger sensors android phones are using
11 pro is still my choice
I still choose iphone for its consistent smart hdr ,sharper portrait, and photos and no everexposure prb ..
11 pro has better night mode with less noise also
*Also iphone has better video recording because of better extended dynamic range and has better low light videos with better dynamic range and higlight detail less noise also iphone all lens can do 4k ,24,30,pr 60 fps wide ultra wide and telephoto, front cam etc
A mix of both phones , THAT would be THE Smartphone of my dreams!!!
Your camera comparison videos are DOPE!
No one takes so many shots to compare the phones.
Great effort.
Keep going 👍
Both are excellent phones but iPhone performed better imo and is more versatile (better audio, HDR, Video performance, Low light, focus speed, etc)
U must be joking
No it didnt do better in low light, more versatile? What does ipone have that the note dosent that makes it more versatile? You can set the hdr to be alwayas on on the samaung, and you have expossure compesation if you tap on the screen and the slider apearse to adjuste it.
Also it didn't do better in low light. Samsung won low light
iPhone has way better color too
Your comparisons are my favorite ones on every new smartphone. Great work!
I can pick a winner 🏆 right now! & that's the Ultra.
I just watched SuperSaf camera comparison of same, and the Ultra had best video and stabilization was so superior and 80% of the photos were better! And I have to say most phones have a decent camera for day time use, I'm still using Samsung S7 Edge and the photos still look great! So to say a phone being only a year old still keeps up should stand for most.
Hot Rod u should have a look when he compared 11pro max stabilisations with note 10 the 11 has much better software
Hot Rod I totally agree, my S8 takes good photos too, and I have installed Google camera and I get some nice shots either from the stock camera or Google's. So it is not a huge deal if a one year old phone still can compete with newer phones. The Note 10 too can be very closely matched with the Note 20.
I can't wait to see what th s21 ultra will do 🙃🙂
2019 vs. 2020
Best video? Nope, only the stabilization is better, but noise reduction, color reproduction, audio and especially the dynamic range goes to the IPhone.
I love how he provide points for both iPhone and Samsung. Very precise and no bias. Hope to see more of this comparison with other devices. I need to sub
im samsung fan but can't lie iphone's camera is insane!
Have to agree I prefer the iPhone shots nearly every time. I'm a Samsung user from note 4 by the way!
Thats true lol...am a Samsung user too but the iphone just kills it....its just funny how people with broken iphone 6's are the ones always chatting shit about cameras
iPhone is a better performer overall. Awesome audio, best video performance and I just love Smart HDR. I’m kinda surprised by this results, Apple and google ftw but google just for photos only.
It's disappointing that Pixel phones SUCK for video recording.
Dangggg iPhone shots are better than N20 even though iPhone is almost a year old. And microphone quality on iPhone 💯 I’ve been a Samsung user for 7 years, I might switch to iPhones just for their cameras (which is very important to me)
I don’t understand how every multi-camera SD865 flagship this year still limits the secondary lenses to 4k30. I love that the iPhone does 4k60 on all lenses. Love these comparison tests. I’ve only had my 11 Pro for about a month but really loving the quality so far. Can’t wait to push it in lowlight around the city. Definitely not bothered about getting it right before the 12 Pro comes out.
Note 20 Ultra does 4K 60fps video on the front selfie camera at least and it can do 4K 120fps video in Pro Mode on the main camera though I don't know if it's for standard video or slow motion video.
PSYCHO yeah but can’t do it on the ultra wide and telephoto. Same case with the LG V60 which also do 4k60 on the main and selfie camera...but not the other lenses?🤔
@@sidersproductions941 I wasn't aware that the 11 series can even record 4K 60fps video on the ultrawide camera.
Can't say I'm surprised because Apple was the first to my knowledge to bring 1080p 60fps recording on the selfie camera and it took 1 or 2 years for flagship Android phones to have that ability.
My guess is most 2021 flagships will have 4K 60fps recording on all lenses hopefully.
PSYCHO I feel like the SD865 is enough to enable 4k60 on all lenses so I’m not sure why Android OEMs are limiting it. Even LG used to do 4K60 on the ultra wide on the V50 so I don’t know why they backtracked this year.
@@PSYCHOV3N0M iphone can do 4k 60 ,24 fps cinematic video in all cameras wide ultra wide and telephoto, front cam etc also 11 pro has 1080p 60 in telephoto and ultra wide.....
Places with good lighting or under daylight, both phones are really good but I would choose the iPhone. But when it comes to low light or night shots, the Galaxy easily wins
Damn Note has really stepped up there game against the 11 pro max, but the iPhone is almost a 1 older then the Note
Ya I'm just scare for the 12 judging that the xs max has the same quality in camera as the 11
@@picnicscoot1822 what? The 11 is way better than the xs max
WOW 😯 The detail of the Iphone pictures are sublime.
I dont get Samsung. They only put really good cameras in the flagship phones. Even iphone puts a good camera in their "budget phone".
THE VIDEO I was waiting on! Your the best
It will definitely improve with updates. My Note 10+ improved massively with updates. The camera on this phone is so much better than it was when I got it a year ago.
I have a note 9 and my camera consistently takes pictures better then my girlfriend's iPhone 11 pro max.
Maybe you're just a better picture taker? Both are still really great tho.
more saturated with artificial sharpening maybe. iphone blows away any samsung any time. despite all these comparisons. samsung camera is animated crap (i have the same phone and I regret buying it, never again samsung for me, because I can’t use images or video from it, images look crap- bad colors, blurry details, sharpened and animated. my Iphone is much more natural and true to life pictures and videos so dream on and you probably have no clue about photography

@@waxxxi I dont need to trust you. samsung phones cameras are overrated. I will never again buy samsung. even before yesterday I compared samsung with installed gcam with iphone 11 pro and samsung is shit. but ordinary people won't understand, so it's ok. compared indoor and outside. the real life iphone details are much much better than samsung s10, s9, with installed gcam. and I am not even going to talk videos. samsung videos are joke. shaky joke. but enjoy your shitty camera samsung thinking it's good, because let me tell you, these reviews use samsung on a stick, with iphone, but iphone hand held has amazing stabilization and real life video, where samsung shakes stutters and quality is crap. even these reviewes dont see how artificial grass and leaves look on samsung, because it tries to sharpen, but again this is waste of time explaining. samsung fanboys dont get it. samsung has good hardware (screen, mics, speakers, stc) but they can't get the camera algorithm right, not even the filmic pro on samsung that I have won't help....it's crap. period. but people with low standard for real life camera don't see it. for them saturated colors and contrast is enough. so enjoy your shit. bye
Random thought to keep in mind:
Samsung prioritizes photo capture quality in the S series and they prioritize video capture quality in the Note series.
Except I think the Note 20 ultra takes nicer photos than the s20 ultra
@@RennieAsh IF that's a fact then even better. Lol.
PSYCHO f3.0 on the tele lens is a lot better than previous versions at f4-5 :) Lets more light in, less of that tinted “zoom” look. I guess the s20u was a first however.
Remains to be seen if regular note 20 is better than regular s20
@@RennieAsh S20 Ultra was a beta test for Samsung's ISOCELL sensor.
Note 20 Ultra benefits from having laser autofocus at least.
Where'd you get that from?
Good job man, mostly for pointing out the differences in every picture. This is the best video camera comparison in all I have ever seen, and the way you explain, keep up the good work!!!!
Great work once again, Danny! I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max, and I should get my new Note 20 Ultra delivered tomorrow. After watching this videos, I'm torn. It seems that the iPhone captures a lot more detail in so many scenarios. I take a lot of pics of my kids, so I'm kind of liking the iPhone pics better. I hope you're right and they send out camera updates in the next few months.
Great video! Loved the camera comparison, great images by both phones.
Why you didn't mention anything about the clipping or blipping (?) Of the HDR video on the iPhone and iPhones in general? It looks like its beating when the sky gets dark and bright back and forth every steps you take, i see very little amount of people let alone reviewer mentioning this, because it ruins the quality of the iPhone but yet somehow People still choose that because no one mentioning it
Would love to see iPhone 12 vs Pixel 5 when they come out!
Pixel 5 will destroy iPhone 12 in photos.
iPhone 12 and ANYONE ELSE destroy Pixel phones in video capture.
PSYCHO I disagree but can’t wait to see the Pixel 5..
@@TXCAMSS1 Disagree on which part exactly?
Everyone knows Pixels suck at video.
Idk, I think they can change it this year, seeing the selfie video from the 4a which is better than se (in hdr, audio,,etc..) and that they can pull of those highlights and shadows slider in their budget phone, I kinda am hoping they would improve this year not quite to the best tho.
Mr.Danny Winget....I am from India and I visited USA last year...Thank you very much for showing Disney World, Orlando in your excellent comparison video...Still ruminating the beautiful memories....
The noise in the Note20 images is baffling. This is a massive sensor and it is downsampling the data from nine pixels into one. If that level of information can't capture a clean image then I don't even want to know what the raw images from the sensor are like.
Crazy how a year old smartphone performed better than a phone that just got released, I might finally switch to iPhone this year, love my pixel but iPhone is a better all rounder.
I’m surprised as well. Planned to buy Note 20 but Now I’ll just wait for iPhone 12 Pro
Tech Rex I actually waited 4 months just for upgrading to Note 20 but I’ve now decided to go with iPhone 12 Pro as it will have even better camera than 11 Pro and it will also be much cheaper than Note 20.
Crimson Harry this guy is making some smart choices !
What you need to realise that iPhone had 1 year to fine tune. With Samsung they release updates after updates so camera will improve significantly. My S10 different now, day and night I must say, compared to when it was released.
THIS THE MOST HONEST REVIEW I HAVE EVER SEEN. THANK YOU FOR THE REAL REVIEW. :)

Great review! I appreciate the edit and production quality was top level. I pre ordered the Note 20 ultra in store and Samsung rang me to say I can pick it up early pre release! Am I nuts or the iPhone shots were all sharper than Samsung wtf ?
I am shocked as well. Also it is much better at dynamic range and colors because it looks natural. That's more important than making it fake. Because it is a standard. It's a perfect neutral comparison to see how a camera is doing. Its not like I don't have a ton of Android Camera comparisons on the channel but there is no denying that most people will choose Apple or Samsung.

The note 20 ultra looked better in most shots.
They go back and forth between cool and warm tones because they are set in auto mode, but Samsung, as you mentioned has pro mode, which I'm really a fan of since it lets me tinker with different things, also same goes about white balance.
Edit: As I'm watching the video, I really hope Samsung makes a better job of catching more details in night time shots, you can see in 7:29 that iPhone is doing a better job at it. I'm a Samsung fan and I've always been jealous of that, props to Apple tho.
Edit 2: 9:51 Note 20 Ultra's wide angle photo looks better than the iPhone even without the night mode.
Last edit: Imagine if the Note 20 Ultra had the power of the software processing that the 11 Pro Max has...

Awsome comparison! Very knowledgeable. Thanks
You prefer the clouds on the note 20, even tho it completely destroys the detail and turns it into a light bulb? HAHAHA
that's hilarious dude. No, the note 20 is doing a HORRIBLE job with clouds, over exposed, has a "hue" of light and complete loss of detail. it is in no way better, or good.
And the note 20 does NOT have more detail, I noticed instantly that the iphones pictures were super crisp. it's just better.
THANK YOU Danny for this amazing video and the work you put into this comparison.
I hope you do a camera comparison between the Note 20 Ultra and the Z Fold 2. I'm worried that Samsung has cut too many corners with the Z Fold 2 cameras.
In most of the shots I thought the note was better and just killed the iPhone in night shots . The note 20 ultra has way better hardware and that you can't fix with a software update and the note gives you soooo many more options. A couple of tweeks and this would be the perfect phone
If you use samsung night mode by day, the image is incredibly sharp
This is so true! Especially in high contrast areas with natural light. It works better when indoors with large windows shedding natural daylight into a room!
9:27, i was like whaaaaat? note really have a huge sesnor
We're really just splitting hairs with these camera comparisons at this point. It all comes down to which OS experience do you like better.

Samsung realy need to fix the portrait hdr
Apple optimization is awesome
nah its cool. samsung focuses on improving brightness of the scene, which is more important to most people. most people dont take pictures of clouds. you can tone down exposure later.
So Samsugs latest can now match iphones last year ..
Samsung beat the iPhone in the area of ultrawide already last year. And they still do because Apple wants to sell the ultrawide night mode as a cool new thing for the iPhone 12. The Note is the better and more versatile camera system, the iPhone can keep up only with the main camera.
@@brandonclevert3173 dude you forgot that iPhone Camera hardware isn't par with Samsung and yet it manages to outwin some parts already.
@@rith5073 Well the iPhone has a good camera system but is much less versatile than the Note's in terms of photos. The note has night mode in the ultrawide and selfie cam. Buy incredibly useful. All the iPhone has is video and a good main cam. Let us see the iPhone pro Max 12, that will have to go toe to toe with the Note. So far the leaks look disappointing but maybe Apple has a trick up their sleeve.

It's so weird seeing multiple comparisons on RUclips and the cameras performing differently on each video.
They both look good, no argument
Hey Dan. We need now the Note 20 Ultra VS the 12 PRO MAX
This is the best camera comparison I have ever seen from a camera pro using top tier tech.
Thank you! That video is on the channel as well. Give it a watch.
Both pretty good , you would not really complain about either in non pixel peeping situations for the most part , or owning either , sammy does seem a little more exposed more often , and surprisingly , still to this day you can see the iphone flicker in video in some circumstances which i picked when it was first released , just goes to prove there is no perfect camera .
You did get some truly awesome pics from both cameras though Danny , well done .
At 8:43 you say "that big sensor is letting a lot of light in, it looks brighter". That is not how camera sensors work. The low light ability is not determined by the overall size of the sensor, but mostly from the size of the individual pixels on it. That's why for example the a7sII is such a low light beast, because while maintaining the same size sensor as the other full-frame cameras it keeps the resolution relatively low (12MP) in order for those pixels to be much bigger and suck in more light. Other than that, nice video!
That Lazer auto focus is spot on, wish Samsung would of sorted the S20 Ultra out before launch but guess they had to get it wrong to get it right
Note 20 ultra had more noise and more details in those night shots . The iPhone night shots were blown out(the coast line with the balloon, the balloon had no detail and the coast lights were all blown out 8:19 ). Would love to see per image analysis instead of a summary.
Ill be very honest, after seeing your video, I am convinced a lot of other youtuber edit or Alter Samsung Images
