Wow samsung has been putting in the work. Promised software updates for 3 years, image quality has improved drastically, refinement in their One UI. Exynos requires work or give snapdragon globally.
Great work once again, Danny! I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max, and I should get my new Note 20 Ultra delivered tomorrow. After watching this videos, I'm torn. It seems that the iPhone captures a lot more detail in so many scenarios. I take a lot of pics of my kids, so I'm kind of liking the iPhone pics better. I hope you're right and they send out camera updates in the next few months.

Hi what processor did your Note 20 Ultra have? Some regions have exynos and some have snapdragon and exynos image processing is different from Snapdragon versions!
Both pretty good , you would not really complain about either in non pixel peeping situations for the most part , or owning either , sammy does seem a little more exposed more often , and surprisingly , still to this day you can see the iphone flicker in video in some circumstances which i picked when it was first released , just goes to prove there is no perfect camera . You did get some truly awesome pics from both cameras though Danny , well done .
We need some indoor and low light shots of people and pets. Something Samsung struggles with all the time and they try to compensate by smoothing out peoples faces and pet fur losing a lot details. Also, has the shutter lag improved on the Note 20 Ultra vs the S20 Ultra?
Hi Danny, I have question, if you activate smart HDR in iPhone. Does it mean the HDR always work in every shot? If that's true than just turn on the HDR on android not in auto mode.
I have always noticed that S series tends towards somewhat under exposure and note series tend towards a bit over exposure the photoes.. the sweet spot is actually in between but for my experience I noticed Note series to be better in camera performance
Because it is a standard. It's a perfect neutral comparison to see how a camera is doing. Its not like I don't have a ton of Android Camera comparisons on the channel but there is no denying that most people will choose Apple or Samsung.
Will you be getting the Mi 10 Ultra? It seems like that phone is really the one to beat for the overall package. I just ordered a poco f2 pro for 371 USD and it kinda unbelievable how Xiaomi does it considering the price of the SD 865. Really like to see a comparison of that Mi 10 Ultra against all the flagships now.
Quick question...how was the focusing delay in the Live Focus feature? And the motion blur that I get with the Galaxy Note 9 in the Live Focus Feature? I am thinking of going with Apple 12 for this reason. Do you have any thoughts on that?
In most of the shots I thought the note was better and just killed the iPhone in night shots . The note 20 ultra has way better hardware and that you can't fix with a software update and the note gives you soooo many more options. A couple of tweeks and this would be the perfect phone

Your videos are great. I have been following your videos for a very long time. Always felt you deserve more recognition. Now writing this comment after watching a video by Michael fisher (Mr. Mobile).
All the best.
im samsung fan but can't lie iphone's camera is insane!
Have to agree I prefer the iPhone shots nearly every time. I'm a Samsung user from note 4 by the way!
Thats true lol...am a Samsung user too but the iphone just kills it....its just funny how people with broken iphone 6's are the ones always chatting shit about cameras
0:41 iPhone details are dope.🤨
Samsung's camera is focused
Yea... wth
Just ordered note 20 Ultra 512 GB. I can't wait to use the camera.Very good comparison video.I subscribe!
WOW 😯 The detail of the Iphone pictures are sublime.
Would love to see iPhone 12 vs Pixel 5 when they come out!
Pixel 5 will destroy iPhone 12 in photos.
iPhone 12 and ANYONE ELSE destroy Pixel phones in video capture.
PSYCHO I disagree but can’t wait to see the Pixel 5..
@@TXCAMSS1 Disagree on which part exactly?
Everyone knows Pixels suck at video.
Idk, I think they can change it this year, seeing the selfie video from the 4a which is better than se (in hdr, audio,,etc..) and that they can pull of those highlights and shadows slider in their budget phone, I kinda am hoping they would improve this year not quite to the best tho.
Very well informed and comprehensive review. 👍🏼
Awsome comparison! Very knowledgeable. Thanks
Love all of your videos Danny. Always really appreciate you doing these comparisons and helping to educate us. Thank you thank you thank yoU!
Fantastic camera comparision and a beautiful city!
The iPhone still manages to hold up even though it is an year old!
Love your videos!
Wow samsung has been putting in the work. Promised software updates for 3 years, image quality has improved drastically, refinement in their One UI. Exynos requires work or give snapdragon globally.
Appreciate your hard work Danny.
Great review! I appreciate the edit and production quality was top level. I pre ordered the Note 20 ultra in store and Samsung rang me to say I can pick it up early pre release! I cant make it to the store for a couple of days now but its there waiting for me. I want the galaxy watch 3 as well. Pre order for free buds live and fast wireless charger for watch. 0% finance over 36 months and can pay all off early or over pay each month if you want. Such a great deal I couldn't refuse.
I dont get Samsung. They only put really good cameras in the flagship phones. Even iphone puts a good camera in their "budget phone".
Both cameras look fantastic.
Everybody wins.
Wow note 20 ultra is great and worthy of my expectations. So i think i had my option. Thanks Danny Winget ❤
Phones have gotten really good, almost saturated. Even the iphone 12 would just be similar with a minor upgrade. At the end of the day preference will be all that matters. Great, great Comparison Danny.
Iphone 12 pro camera is entirely new camera sytem it not the same as 11 pro
I am planning to purchase a phone tomorrow. Really skeptical about the note 20 ultra because of the exynos processor as i have heard of many issues such as lag and bad battery backup. Can you please help me? I live in the UAE and here, iphone 11 pro max is at the same price range. Which one should i go for? Or any other phone?
Dude you are one of my favorite RUclipsrs, let me ask you this, I'm from Latin America, here the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra comes with the Exynos, taking a picture with these process system is going to affect my photo or video?
I came looking for a comparison that will help me choose one of the 2 and after 25 seconds I knew immediately which one was my chosen one ... the audio difference is total!
Which one is it?
@@robpattinsongirlstar Hello Isa...the audio quality of the iphone is undeniable...
11 pro is still my choice
I still choose iphone for its consistent smart hdr ,sharper portrait, and photos and no everexposure prb ..
11 pro has better night mode with less noise also
*Also iphone has better video recording because of better extended dynamic range and has better low light videos with better dynamic range and higlight detail less noise also iphone all lens can do 4k ,24,30,pr 60 fps wide ultra wide and telephoto, front cam etc
That's why normally you want a -0,2 in brightness in the photo options.
Watching a camera comparison by Danny is like watching a Netflix show!! Loved it.
Hi what processor did your Note 20 Ultra have? Some regions have exynos and some have snapdragon and exynos image processing is different from Snapdragon versions!
Hey Dan. We need now the Note 20 Ultra VS the 12 PRO MAX
This is the best camera comparison I have ever seen from a camera pro using top tier tech.
Thank you! That video is on the channel as well. Give it a watch.
Great as always Danny
That Lazer auto focus is spot on, wish Samsung would of sorted the S20 Ultra out before launch but guess they had to get it wrong to get it right
The best camera comparison video for these devices.
Can you use flash on ultra wide lens on the Note?
Both pretty good , you would not really complain about either in non pixel peeping situations for the most part , or owning either , sammy does seem a little more exposed more often , and surprisingly , still to this day you can see the iphone flicker in video in some circumstances which i picked when it was first released , just goes to prove there is no perfect camera .
You did get some truly awesome pics from both cameras though Danny , well done .
You make really good videos i hope you'll do 1 million subs soon
We need some indoor and low light shots of people and pets. Something Samsung struggles with all the time and they try to compensate by smoothing out peoples faces and pet fur losing a lot details. Also, has the shutter lag improved on the Note 20 Ultra vs the S20 Ultra?
I will pick samsung galaxy note 20 ultra 🔥🔥
1st time Samsung colour is more natural 👌👌👌
Samsung blows my mind,💥💥💥
The comparisons were really good. Can you upload a video where you compare the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra vs the Galaxy Note 20 vs the Galaxy S20 Ultra
Hi Danny, I have question, if you activate smart HDR in iPhone. Does it mean the HDR always work in every shot?
If that's true than just turn on the HDR on android not in auto mode.
Samsung took away the HDR feature to force it to “on” now it’s auto or nothing.
I have always noticed that S series tends towards somewhat under exposure and note series tend towards a bit over exposure the photoes.. the sweet spot is actually in between but for my experience I noticed Note series to be better in camera performance
Comparing every damn phone with the 11 pro max like that's the gold standard come on Danny.
Because it is a standard. It's a perfect neutral comparison to see how a camera is doing. Its not like I don't have a ton of Android Camera comparisons on the channel but there is no denying that most people will choose Apple or Samsung.
IT IS the standard. Even iphone win this one.
@@dannywinget ok I'll give you that one
what kindo version do u use? Exynos or Snapdragon?
Samsung Note 20 ultra or Huawei P40 pro which is the best for camera?
Will you be getting the Mi 10 Ultra? It seems like that phone is really the one to beat for the overall package. I just ordered a poco f2 pro for 371 USD and it kinda unbelievable how Xiaomi does it considering the price of the SD 865. Really like to see a comparison of that Mi 10 Ultra against all the flagships now.
Is it normal that you heard a sound when you shake the phone? especially in the camera area?
Yup
It’s because of the OIS
Quick question...how was the focusing delay in the Live Focus feature? And the motion blur that I get with the Galaxy Note 9 in the Live Focus Feature? I am thinking of going with Apple 12 for this reason. Do you have any thoughts on that?
In most of the shots I thought the note was better and just killed the iPhone in night shots . The note 20 ultra has way better hardware and that you can't fix with a software update and the note gives you soooo many more options. A couple of tweeks and this would be the perfect phone
What a nice comparison!
THANK YOU Danny for this amazing video and the work you put into this comparison.
I hope you do a camera comparison between the Note 20 Ultra and the Z Fold 2. I'm worried that Samsung has cut too many corners with the Z Fold 2 cameras.
I have a note 9 and my camera consistently takes pictures better then my girlfriend's iPhone 11 pro max.
Maybe you're just a better picture taker? Both are still really great tho.
more saturated with artificial sharpening maybe. iphone blows away any samsung any time. despite all these comparisons. samsung camera is animated crap (i have the same phone and I regret buying it, never again samsung for me, because I can’t use images or video from it, images look crap- bad colors, blurry details, sharpened and animated. my Iphone is much more natural and true to life pictures and videos so dream on and you probably have no clue about photography
@@martinkulik9466 iPhone is the more artifical one here LMAO
@@martinkulik9466 Naah bro, I've had Note 9 and I have a Note 10 Plus rn. Trust me, the Note 10 is something else
@@waxxxi I dont need to trust you. samsung phones cameras are overrated. I will never again buy samsung. even before yesterday I compared samsung with installed gcam with iphone 11 pro and samsung is shit. but ordinary people won't understand, so it's ok. compared indoor and outside. the real life iphone details are much much better than samsung s10, s9, with installed gcam. and I am not even going to talk videos. samsung videos are joke. shaky joke. but enjoy your shitty camera samsung thinking it's good, because let me tell you, these reviews use samsung on a stick, with iphone, but iphone hand held has amazing stabilization and real life video, where samsung shakes stutters and quality is crap. even these reviewes dont see how artificial grass and leaves look on samsung, because it tries to sharpen, but again this is waste of time explaining. samsung fanboys dont get it. samsung has good hardware (screen, mics, speakers, stc) but they can't get the camera algorithm right, not even the filmic pro on samsung that I have won't help....it's crap. period. but people with low standard for real life camera don't see it. for them saturated colors and contrast is enough. so enjoy your shit. bye
IPhone pictures looked pleasing to my eyes
You said you can't force HDR on the Note -- yes, you can. Open the camera app, click the settings icon, scroll down to HDR (which you probably have turned on to 'Apply when needed'). Press on the HDR and let go -- it brings up a sub-menu where you can click 'Always apply' to HDR. Admittedly it's not convenient, but the option is there.
I didn’t know that. I only saw the auto hdr. That’s a crappy way to hide that feature. Thanks for letting me know.
Good review. Thanks.
Note 20 ultra is nothing more than a BEAST, but it's annoying that in Europe we only get Exynos 990... Anyhow, great camera comparison, good job! :D
xoxo
S20 Ultra vs Note 20 Ultra pls Danny
As always .. great comparisons
Can you believe the iPhone is a year old and yet so much better and on par with the latest releases. This pushes me to switch from Android. Great video like always! ❤️
Not necessarily that, smartphone from 2018 to now has no massive improvement in camera and processor.
@@BETE7669 agree to disagree
2:12 stop and look.
That’s how to break your brain at 1pm
You werent lying
We're really just splitting hairs with these camera comparisons at this point. It all comes down to which OS experience do you like better.
iPhone is a better performer overall. Awesome audio, best video performance and I just love Smart HDR. I’m kinda surprised by this results, Apple and google ftw but google just for photos only.
It's disappointing that Pixel phones SUCK for video recording.
Fantastic comparison 👏.. please do note 20 ultra vs s20 plus vs s20 ultra
I've had the note 20 ultra for about a week now. Might return it because the photos are so overexposed when taking pictures with high contrast with natural daylight.
Which processor in this note 20 ultra, Snapdragon, or Exynos??
