  • Puto Bumbong is a well known traditional food from the Philippines. It is made from glutinous rice flour mixed with purple flavor then steamed from bamboo steamer known as “Bumbong ng Kawayan”. It’s a popular food during Christmas. You can see vendors outside the church selling this during “Simbang Gabi”.
    In this video, I will show you how to make Puto Bumbong without the use of a bamboo steamer. You will be surprised with the result. Same taste and texture. It’s fulfilling.
    Ingredients:
    2 Cups Glutinous Rice Flour
    1 Cup Rice Flour
    1 ¼ Cup Water
    1 Tbsp Ube Flavor
    Toppings
    Shredded Coconut
    Brown Sugar
