The Red one, check the inlet manifold butterfly, as they have a habit of sticking shut which brings up restricted performance error. Either new inlet manifold or clean the butterfly and try first before thinking about either MAF or turbo changer which is more than likely an expensive blind alley. These cars are also hyper sensitive to battery condition, which might explain the body stability error as well.
Flap in the throttle body gets stuck on these. It can cause DPF faults too. Replace the throttle body is the only fix. Some people say to file the flap but it never works long term.
As regard the restricted performance warning, it is worth quickly checking the air intake is not being blocked by an acoustic material bag under the bonnet that sometimes slips out of position and causes an airflow issue. A RUclips channel called LR Time had that problem with his big Range Rover that caused some head scratching to find it.
That last RR was probably a school mum's car, who once she's dropped the children off then goes to the gym, then has her eyebrows shaved off and drawn on with a Sharpie, then a deep orange spray tan to match the colour of the car, and finally her hair done but walks out with massive rollers still in. All of the above is done before the home time school run, but still in her gymwear so everyone knows what she has been doing that day. The spray tan will explain the orange line on the arm rest, as that is where her arm will be whilst texting the other school mums as they all drive round in their tractors....sorry, Range Rovers.
I was working for an agency delivering seats to JLR the other week. They have three automated artic trailers on site 24/7. Company gets massive fine if they hold up production. You have to know all the back roads to get there if the M42 is blocked. Best part was drooling over them hanging in the air.(the cars not me) And the cheap breakfast
That look on your face when the warning was still showing at the service station.... i know thr feeling. Loving the videos and honesty. Respect from B28 Motors.
The restricted performance could be a suspension sensor. Sounds strange, but you get a warning like that if you try and drive with the suspension in access mode on the older Landrover's. Well it does that in the previous gen RRS and Disco.
Its the fuel cap that puts it into limp mode just open it but don't close it too tight..the fuel pressure system rail is affected ...happens to me all the time when I put my toe down too hard...fault clears after 10 mins of driving once fuel caps been put back on
The auto biography cars could well have a deployable towbar, there will be a button on the right hand side of the boot trim. Seeing as it had the deployable side steps a tow bar would be a good bet. Keep the one with the tv in the back for yourself. It will be easier to sell the other two then because everyone will want the tv over the one that hasn’t got it.
Absolutely stunningly beautiful vehicles these Range Rovers, the interiors are an especially luxurious place to sit while you're waiting for the tow truck to rescue you.
I got lumma kit in mint condition and 22" polished wheels for this rangrover if u want....I had it on my rangrover sport but unfortunately I had to give the car back to dealer so had to take everything off.
Oh, the joys of buying out of BCA, I retired several years ago after 30 years of buying and selling luxury cars in Solihull. I miss the banter with the chaps in the Trade, but I definitely don’t miss the grief from the Cars 😂
That restricted performance could be lack of DEF, if it uses that. I know that it will gradually decrease performance until the DEF is refilled and there is no DEF level indicator, at least not in my Jag. Mercedes actually bricks the car after 10 warnings, then you have to take to the dealer to get it reset.... However, on my Jag, restricted performance was a blown turbo and it required a new engine! Good luck, hopefully it's not that.
I hope you have a few 100k mile kits available. Replacement engine, transmission, coolant system with thermostat and housing, throw in a few inlet manifolds and you will be good.
I suspect the reason there is 3 sets of headphones is because of the brilliant and frankly impressive system built into the front screen! Meaning while the driver is using sat nav etc, the passenger can watch a film etc which the driver can’t see! You learn a lot when your dad spends most of your life as a engineer for JLR 😂

It’ll be interesting to see what the problem is with the restricted performance as my Range Rover evoque is doing the same, it started off with it only coming on after a bit of power now it’s on most of the time and now it’s bringing up the DPF needs cleaning. It’s had a full service and I’ve changed the mass air flow thing but it’s still the same, any help would be appreciated 😂
I can see why it’s tempting to buy these in the current market prices look very good but they break constantly and you will need to do warranty work on them all at some point that’s if you can sell them. To be fair you will probably sell them no problem if they don’t get stolen first. But they will haunt you. Buying one is a gamble buying 3 is where I start to question your intelligence pal 😂
@@ShiftingMetal you could come out on top but repairs on these eat up margins quicker than you can say profit. I'll stick with my Toyota RAV4 hybrid 2019 - still got remainder of the manufacturers 5 yr warranty and then covered up to 10 yrs old after every annual service. £250 for minor and £350 for major service. Wonder why they hold their value?
Great video as usual. Hopefully, you did a vehicle score on the red one! looks like it has had a life, no history, 1 key and cream dash, door cards, centre armrest, and steering wheel yet black seats? Was that an option from the factory, or has it had the seats changed.🤔
