The ice cubes get salty
No shit
Basically
It tastes better ngl
@@Satisfactionnedwhat.
Salt decreases the melting point of ice, instead of being 273 K (0°C) it changes to around 266 K (-7°C), son then ice needs lower temperatures to be in solid state. Also, in terms of chemistry, salt (NaCl) dissociates in water as Na+ + Cl-, this dissociation consumes energy that is taken from ice molecules interactions obliged them to melt.
WHAT IF I pUT THIS ON MY SKIN TWICE
273 k =0 C then how 270 k is -7 C?
@@subhoghosal7 my mistake, it should say 266 K. Thanks for the correction.
ahh we were studying colligative properties in my chem class and I just wanted to see this thanks!
This is for educational purposes👍
It seems like salt dissolved in water that makes salt water melt faster.. in room temperature
But what if the temperature was not room temperature and remained or was in a cold mer temperature?
Salt (sodium ) decreases the freezing point of water. And thence....
Hey I'm just wondering.... Ive just put 8 cubes and salt on my shins until they melted would tht cause amputation?

@@ANOTHERMFER 🤣🤣🤣nah I'm good...so far😬😂
How beautiful is the bgm
Extraordinary experiment
I agree
This really helped! Thank you!
Just 👍👍

lesson learned: never take tequila on the rocks
What salt did you use
NaCl :SodiumChloride
CaCl :CalciumChloride
it's sodium chloride
But how does salt melt the ice if the temperature stays cold/freezing point? Ot does not
Salt changes the melting temperature of water. I don’t understand the chemical reaction well enough to explain better than that.
@@SkyeSong777 salt lowers the freezing temperature of water from 32 f to 20 f aprox. If the temperature is below 20 f the ice won't melt as in your experiment.
Alright time to use this to my Scienctific Investigation project
Conclusion, both melted
Pretty sure the ice is just melting Cos that what ice does when no longer chilled not because the salt is on it.
Wrong
@AnthonyPlayz um it takes like 10mins for my ice cube to melt IN A DRINK
@@emalinu Because it's surrounded by water. Water melts the ice.
That is incorrect, while the salt is not directly melting the ice, it lowers the freezing temperature of the water, which results in the ice no longer being able to freeze the water but the water still being able to melt the ice.
Wow
It was fun to watch the results. :)
depression in freezing point
8 now.
Trusta
Water ice salt aye
And people are dumb enough to put that on there skin wate I’m the dumb one that did that
@@Sorvert oof I was gonna try it but then I search it up 😂 and I was like nahhhhh
Hey OP! Whats the title of the piece?
The song is The Throne, I found it while browsing the free public domain music that RUclips provides in its audio library. I don't know the composer.
Raine Sarita Rucker Thanks!
Could be an exothermic reaction 🤔🤔
No
Its quantum computing
Ice cube be salty
I did this and ate the ice cube and accidentally swallowed it 💀help
Wow
useful for freezing stuff in prison
why tf did i watch this
I hope there was not any voice communication during this because that music was so annoying and loud I had to mute the video
no sorry
It’s called the salt and ice challenge
It doesn’t melt it.
I don't fucking get it!?!?!
