- Who is Vac-man? It is Stretch Armstrong's Nemesis that you can lock in place by sucking the air out of him. Due to popular demand, I am putting vacman in the vacuum chamber. This video is actually really neat because vacman gets locked in place when you suck the air out of it. So it is really interesting to see what happens when it is already under vacuum in the vacuum chamber.

How was he not as popular? That’s literally so awesome and creative with the vacuum system and the release button. Plus the villains are always cooler.
Well because if we remove all the flair, he’s basically a red dork that gets stiffer if you remove the air inside him.

That was interesting. I had a vac man as a kid. One of the features was that not only would his limbs stay in place when you sucked the air out. But you could stretch him out like a Strech Armstrong and he would stay stretched out instead of snapping back in place.
My cousin had one of these. He used to put the vacuum pump on his chin and pull the handle a bunch and laugh about how it stuck on. He had to walk around for like two weeks with what was essentially a huge hickey on his chin.

Seeing Vac-man filled up with air like that brought back some disturbing memories of things I've seen on google images.

1:03 My older brother got one of these guys for Christmas. Our other older brother and him (I have 8 siblings and 7 of them are older than me) decided to see how far they could stretch him and ripped his armpit. The owner was in denial as he said he accidently hit the switch on the side of his head while pulling. They tried to vacuum him tight again and discovered the tear on the nonowners' side. He never offered to replace him. Same when he broke the tip of my Star Wars light saber. We rarely let one another play with each other toys. We always had our own figures to bring when we played together. Even stored them separately, too. Sorry, that was long-winded, but this triggered some old memories. 😂

I got the 1994 version of this toy when I was a kid (at least 20 years ago) at a garage sale with no pump. I had no idea what it was but I liked it. I used to slam it on the ground and throw it around and it was indestructible. Eventually, it started to tear and I would tape it up but it was too much at one point. I kept the head and had it on my shelf. I just looked at the back and saw "1994 Cap Toy Inc." I searched it and now I know what the hell this thing is. Lol. So weird.

I have the mini version of it and what I heard is that back in 1994 vac man was capable of stretching further but with the new one it stretches up to a certain amount. But that actually depends on how much you pump him up because the more you pump the more stretchy he gets

I LOVED that toy growing up! I got him as a gift in an Easter basket and did tons of experiments on him until he ripped open one day lol! Stretch Armstrong was hugely popular and after seeing the clear gel inside him, it was cool to see the beads along with that gel inside Vac Man. Oh memories........
