This game was made for me. I don’t get enough time to play, maybe a few times a week. And when I do it’s before bed and I’m not trying to stress myself out. I love collecting and crafting, this was made for me. I bought it a while ago but I haven’t gotten around to starting it yet. This guide was a huge help for me to have some familiarity with it before I start. Thank you!
I'm glad to know that day time limit shouldn't be stressed over too much. I was stressed about it coming from Stardew Vally. I really appreciate the non-farming focus of this life sim (also as an Atelier series fan but missing the towns people interactions I get here). ...I still wish this formula would be copied by a Star Trek like ship life sim.
It's nice not to feel compelled to maximize time and just relax! I would pay good money for a ship life sim. Maybe be a botanist doing planet excursions for samples
Omg the Atelier games! They have my whole heart! This is like an even more chilled version of that without the thicc thighs lol I dig the 8 bit style before bed. I’m glad to see any other Atelier fans!! ❤
Thank goodness this game isn't time sensitive for events. I hate having events locked to specific events that only come around in specific times requiring extensive time manipulation. Now I can focus and breeze how I want.
Thank you so much!! I've been putting it off for a while because Graveyard Keeper was my worst disapointment, but I'm glad to see that this one is not like that at all and I can start playing it with no fear :)
I dropped this game about 2 years ago just cuz i didn't have enough time. Now that i do and want to pick it up again, i couldn't remember at all what it was about. Your video is amazingly informative and now i rmb almost everything. Thanks so much!
I’ve read the first cauldron upgrade should come first, if only to keep up with the needs of patients, then all the tool upgrades. The scythe also attacks faster than the others, but with stronger enemies you need one hit with the axe or hammer before switching. The most useful tips here are absolutely to track people with the dog, and teleporting from anywhere by choosing a flag on the map. I passed out because I wandered too deep in the woods and couldn’t make it back, and the first time I tried playing I just got lost and couldn’t find my house.
Loved this kind of games so relaxing .. bought this on my phone. Just watching some tips and im gonna start my own playthrough.i hope more games like this gets released on mobile phones.
I was considering buying the game and your review helped a lot. I wanted a very cozy game to play during my vacations and now knowing how forgiving the game is made up my mind, thanks!
I'm at this stage where i'm just about to buy it, but still watching some quick quides like yours before that, haha. Thanks a lot, really enjoyable to watch and filled with good infos :]
thank you for the video!! i was putting off playing bc i was scared of the time thing. i know its silly but whenever i play stardew valley or games like that i keep starting over every few minutes bc i didnt do the day perfectly. but your vid made this game seem even more cozy than i thought so thanks!! i see youre a small account but you earned a new sub today 😊
I'm similar, any time a game keeps track of time I feel compelled to maximize it. Thanks for your kind words and your sub! I'm glad my vid could make the game more enjoyable for you 😁
@@Лена-г1ш I played on Steam and while I noticed quite a few bugs, most of them were visual (things missing/clipping) or weird dialogue. Nothing really bad. My wife played on Switch and got more bugs that hindered gameplay, like fast traveling out of the map or soft locking the game. It looks like the devs are working to fix it but idk the timeline.
@@Лена-г1ш I play it on PS4 and only have encountered one bug where sometimes the fast travel glitches but that's it. It's a relatively new game and I know the devs are looking at fixing it but I'm not sure when
@@kristym7149 thank you! I really want to buy it for Nintendo but saw many comments that were posted quite a long time ago regarding bugs and glitches, so I saw your recent comment and decided to ask if the situation got better:( hope they will fix it very soon, but unfortunately, there is no guarantee that they will actually fix it
Great tips. I love this game and play on Switch. There are quite a few bugs and glitches so until an update is done on the Switch, I can't move forward in the game. Really great game though.
I was wanting to pick this one up on the Switch as well but hearing about all the bugs I'm very hesitant. Any word on upcoming patches for the Switch version? The game looks so good!
Thank you for sharing this information to everyone ^~^. I just bought the game today and I'm gonna write the important stuff you said in my notebook. I also heard that you could cook in this game too. So maybe cooking recipes could maybe save me money too🤔? I'll test that theory to find out.
Nice! The cauldron upgrades are very useful, especially the first two. I got the kitchen upgrade but personally I didn't utilized it much; I was able to get food elsewhere and the cooking aspect of life sims never really does it for me unless there are heavy incentives. Though it does feel good to complete your house!
Note to everyone. For First time players of Potion Permit. You should romance Leone. During your 2nd or 3rd playthrough of the game. Because you're going to have to start fishing a hundred times. So you can catch a rare fish and become a official couple.
I didn't know most people didn't know how to fast travel. I guess you didn't inspect too much of your environment first before going out in the wild you would get lost and miss some core mechanics.
I'm honestly hoping that Potion Permit meets all its upgrade requirements that the views suggested. Like the romancable options for Lucke, Runeheart and Hannah. Some of us would like to have a wedding scene and the option to breakup with a romantic partner in the game. Maybe in the future the game will finish all its upgrades like the Cattails game, Stardew Valley, My Time At Portia and Moonlighter.
You need to save the recipe immediately after you brew the potion, before you get back to the potion select menu. If you're not getting the option to save the potion even when you've crafted it 5+ times, that sounds like a bug :(
One thing to know about Potion Permit is that it only has six dateable characters, and one of them is characterized as an underage girl! This made an otherwise fun game pretty unplayable for me.
ahh... I dont like games that force me to go through the PTSD chain of gossip command in order to get upgrades that much, so in a sense this game is quite restrictive for me since it puts me into a frame of sort that I must follow, also im kinda sad that you cant fuck up potion recipes and "accidentally" slip some mushroom dust into potions, I mean i want some stakes of sorts even in my cozy games, kinda gives an element of surprise. though the games art style is godly for pixel art
Lol yeah literally zero stakes in this one. Even dying just advances the game clock, but since there's no calendar that doesn't have any impact either. Up to you if that feels relaxing or boring.
Maybe for next video you could mention romance and confessions. I was attempting to become a couple with Leano. I realized couldn't and I didn't know how. So I went to Google and found out that need a Moon Broach to confess to another character.
