Hey all Thanks for checking out the video! I know I missed an Easter egg in the title screen, sorry. I honestly just forgot. It's on a screw in the W. Anyways, I hope you still like the rest of it.
You missed the 4th title screen thingy with the bolt. Also in the shipping screen, if you get the moon to show up, click on it multiple times for a face to show up.
missed a few if you shake the bush above the playground at 12 o clock on any 28. of a season you will get a yunimo-plush also if you upgrade your trashcan you earn money if you threw things away
Not quite an eater egg, but when the tanks were 1st implemented someone tweeted at concernedApe about sea urchins wearing hats, so if it wasn't for this gem of a person we wouldn't have this feature
One thing I’ve just recently discovered is that the mine levels are set for the day, not randomized every time you leave! So if you’re trying to grind for a slime ring you can find one infested level and keep hitting it until the day is over! Especially helpful if any of the elevator levels +1 is infested 😊
Yes I love that one! Very helpful if you add the monster musk on top of that too. If I get lucky enough to get an infested level with dust sprites, I pop on a musk and the burglar ring and go to town. Coal for daaaaayysss
Just bought this game in the e-store for my daughter and i started playing it as well. My god this game is huge. Never thought their so many things that you can do. First i thought you have to rush because days go so fast but now i see that you can just take your time and explore all these possibilities. Great to see how one single developer can come up with such a game.
@Patrick NL78 I am on my 18th Stardew Valley year. I am 65 years old and this is the first video game I have ever played. It is an amazing creation. Everytime I play I find some interconnected detail. Blows my mind.
On top of that, give try to huge mods like Stardew Valley expanded and Ridgeside village if you ever get bored with vanilla. They have tons of content !

I know you end the fair at 10pm, but I can't help myself but mow down on a ton. I wish it was an eating competition! Maybe win a burger hat or something lol

I knew it but thought there was a time limit. Sometimes there’s stuff, sometimes not. But if I’m there for the train, stuff almost always drops. I just got geodes for the first time yesterday.
I noticed if you give kitty love she'll sleep on your bed. The days I've neglected her she'll either be on the floor of the bedroom. Or if worse, in the other room. If I forget I'll be sure to give her pets when I return. Nothing like a kitty sleeping in you're bed. Make sure to give those pets love lol❤️💗
I guess the in-game dogs do that too; I make it a daily task to pet him and fill his water bowl before I leave and go do other stuff for the day, and he sleeps on the bed sometimes (either that, or near the bed). But maybe my farmer just has the lazy kind of dog or something, because he sometimes just naps randomly when outside too; so cute! And he must think that he's a cattle dog or something whenever he's awake, because I mostly see him somewhere near the little fenced-in pasture area that I made for the cows.
I just discovered, watching someone's old playthrough, if you go to the spa and fish in the little pond in front, you get items. They fished out a piece of furniture.
There is also a quest from one of the secret notes that involves fishing there too. You can't do it in the winter though, because the little pond is frozen.

I didn't know that you can click on the coal carts in the mines and they will drop coal. I found this out while playing multiplayer and already had nearly 2000 hours of gameplay. My son thought it was hilarious that I kept saying, "Why didn't I know about this until now?!" Didn't know about being able to teleport out of the dungeon with the golden scythe. I'll be using this one.
Don't worry, you are not the only one who didn't know about the coal carts! I've had a few comments about that on a previous video. Happy the grim reaper one will help you out.
So i don't know you already know it but i learnt something about the ducks of stardew valley... next time you can: Put your duck coop as close as possible to the water and ensure to have high friendship/love points with them and pet them before letting them out! The "planting grass on 28th of Winter" trick does not work if you exit the game after that day is over. You need to keep playing into Spring for it to work.
Shifting Chests over and placing new fences on top of broken fences, I had NO idea, and I have hundreds of hours on the game! I'm constantly amazing that I continue learning new things about Stardew!
For the Stardew Valley Fair, if you go up to Gus's feast area you can actually leave the fenced boarder without ending the event, and if you click certain spots along the cliff, it'll give you a burger! Go up to the far left and you can walk through the fence. 😉
i first started playing this game last year and i literally thought the end game was finishing the community center. now i know that's not true and i learn new things everyday about this game. that's what makes me love it more!
That dresser one is amazing, I had no idea! Okay there's several things here I didn't know, including that you can make oil directly from sunflowers, and corn! Thank you for all the helpful information 🙂
the fishing directional keys trick got me audibly screaming “WHAT?!” so loud my sister thought something happened 😅 The many times I wasted energy trying to position myself and throw casts repeatedly to aim at the fishing bubbles……
Found this out by accident, the lure moved by stick drift XD super confused when it happened till I googled tips n tricks. Ty all you tubers & wiki makers!
Wow, what a great video! I'm also at 2k+ hours and still love learning new things about the game! Holding the seed packet to plant while you harvest is genius!
Didn't know about the train. Always thought I had to be on-site to pick up items it dropped. I never set foot in Joja unless I was looking for someone, so the stuff for sale was new. Ew! No wonder Shane hated his job so much! XD Try clicking on the full moon on the 27th day shipping bin sale breakdown screen. ;D
I only learned about the crab cake buff a couple of days ago! I've been using Pepper Poppers this whole time. Crab Cakes and Triple Shot Espresso are a top combo for speed that last the day.
1:12 there's also a few hidden emotes that you can get through commands, such as /emote jar,/emote music,/emote taunt and /emote blush 7:34 and there's actually another Easter egg in the title,if you click the bottom right side of the W,butterflies will appear
I just learned the hat trick this week, been playing 4 years lol. And now my mind is blown by the fences tips in this video. Also it was so nice to see this pop up on my feed :) great job with this one!
If you want to get hay with only fully upgraded barn/coop then use a bomb to destroy a small few hay then you can get some from the bin as if you weren't in a fully upgraded one.
Oh my gosh, you just answered my question about whether it was possible to make your own vegetable oil for cooking. I was annoyed that I could only buy it at the store. I was only using the oil maker for truffles!
I learned a lot in this. Great vid! As an aside though, it actually depends what framework you're using to classify a tomato. From a scientific definition, tomatoes are indeed fruits. However, a US Supreme Court case (Nix v. Hedden) determined that legally they are vegetables and so trade laws about vegetables apply to them, not trade laws about fruits.
Crab cakes are my favorites for the all-day speed boost 😭 Making or getting it is a bit restricted though. That's why I'm always happy to get crabs from crab pot in oceans or from monster drops. There's a way to bulk purchase it if you have money: Gus will sell an unlimited number of Crab Cakes at The Stardrop Saloon for 550g each for approximately 4 days after viewing Willy's 6-heart cutscene. Money is the answer as always! 😅
Catch one crab and build a pond, the fish in pounds multiply over time so you can take a few crabs out, make them into food and new ones will turn up by themself; endless crab supply
9:40 you can put the item on a sign and it will not disappear, although you will never be able to pick it up (cuz its how sign system works), but maybe someone would use it for decoration or use it for their collection!
I've been doing that unupgraded coop hay hoarding trick since my first playthrough, saves so so much money and time waiting for Marnie while your animals starve
I didn’t realize the plant as you harvest one. Mainly because I usually hold right click to harvest, as you can harvest things insanely faster with right click. It skips the animation lock you normally get when you left click, so you can harvest all surrounding squares in a second. The unreachable grass one is so clutch though. Having untouchable “source” tiles for grass in animal enclosures is a game changer honestly.
I've been playing this game for over 3ish years and I am shocked that most of the obvious things that are there I didn't know about. Thanks for the video taught me alot!
indeed, i always forget about it. Though, if you're optimizing whether to use preserves jars or kegs, it's still profitable to turn everything into artisan goods if you can afford the time
Once upon a time, I made a mod changing this. Was pretty cool! Sadly I had to stop working on it because I got so busy. Maybe I can make some time to work on it again.
So much of these tips make me feel better about not restarting the game. I just wish there was a "decoration mode" embedded so i can rearrange my farm/house/town/etc without time passing by.
Thank you for those amazing Tips! But, actually there are 4 Easter Eggs 7:35, click multiple times on the right screw of the W and see the magic! Keep up your amazing work! :-)
4:40: If your barn or coop IS fully upgraded with the autofeeders, you can still remove hay from the hopper by using a cherry bomb to blow up some hay in the feeding bench. Just make sure your heaters, autograbbers and autopetters are not in the blast radius, or you will lose them.
Wow, I've played hundreds of hours of Stardew and I can't believe how much I just learned! Usually I skip these type of videos because the tips are often very basic and hard to miss. You just blew my mind. Well done!
Glad you enjoyed it! I too have watched some and am like... but that's just how you play the game?! Give me new things, give me DRAMA! Anyways, happy I could teach you something new
I'm so thankful for people making videos like this. Especially when done this well. Each tip is short and to the point but with enough info to understand fully! Thank you for taking the time to help others!
it's amazing that even if you kill a monster with bombs, you can still get vampiric benefits if you just hold your sword in hand!! can't wait to try this :D
During game launch when you first open the game, the concerned ape screen is interactive. Best way to level the farming skill is cactus since it produces constantly and it gives the highest amount of farming XP. (You can buy cactus seeds in the desert oasis vendor or from a seed maker. I recommend you plant in the greenhouse though or indoors.) When you are fishing you can get 8x normal fishing XP on a max cast, a perfect catch and a treasure. The Mahogany seeds you get from chopping hardwood in the secret woods can be planted on your farm to get a mahogany tree which yields hardwood. You could also sell the seed in a shipping bin for baseline 100g.
The fishing XP bonuses are additive I believe, although I'm pretty sure that the perfect and treasure bonuses give different amounts so if you are XP farming one of them is definitely better than the other. I'm not sure about this though, so someone will have to experiment.
@@mirjanbouma they cannot be planted in the sewers but they can be planted in the greenhouse and in a garden pot. They can only be planted on the farm.
Still amazing how one developer can add so much content and also so much little details like in this video that you wouldn't notice even after years of playing the game.
I'm either year 4 or 5 and I thought I was done with the game but after watching videos like these my love for Stardew has blossomed even more! Theres so much stuff I didn't know, things I didn't know I could make! I spent the first few years focussing on getting the community centre and getting married. I haven't spent any time increasing my friendship with any of the other villagers!
Do you still have to plant the grass with objects at the end of the Winter season before Spring season comes? Or it just grows under the object during Spring
They Wickedy, I just wanted to say thank you for all the tips and tricks you've done. You've been a huge help and I'm glad to be a part of the community
I commented this a while back on one of your other videos. I discovered that you can upgrade your sheds to be twice as big. Considering the fact that I used one shed to grow cocoa beans, and one other shed full of kegs for my ancient fruits, it completely changed how much money I was getting. No kidding, when I discovered this I laughed the most evil greedy capitalist cackle I have ever laughed.
I've played like 800h of Startdew and I did not know over half of these. And holy crap the nudge chest thing would have saved me *so much* headache moving my stuff around.
You show up in my recommended feed every month and always reignite my love for this game 😭😭finally subscribed so ill get to see more of this. Love your content!!
I remember when I first started sdv. Actually, I don't really. I was all a blur of no sleep and obsessively hoarding everything. It's a lovely and addictive game.
I haven't long been playing Stardew (absolutely love the game!) so a lot of this was new to me and I'm going to go try them out! Thanks for the video, brilliant!
In a similar video someone said that the friendship pop-up doesn't happen if you pet your animals while holding a hay, BUT I found out that if you right click the first animal you want to pet and just hold it you can walk past your animals and auto-pet them (kinda like holding right mouse down to plant seeds)
I was today years old when I found out the sewer area can be used. The “recycling center” idea is quite brilliant too. Also didn’t know about the shortcut to exit the cave with the gold scythe by using the reaper.
Great video! I learned a lot. I think the fastest way to harvest on PC is to wave the cursor over the plants while holding right-click. You can harvest multiple plants while the animation plays only once.
one thing i found out like 2 days ago also somewhat of a spoiler is that you don't need to go and enchant your weapon at ginger island to kill the mummies you can actually just use the golden scythe and kill them that way which I found cool
One thing to also know it's not just at the end of winter and at the beginning of spring you'll get a bunch of grass if you plant a little bit of grass at the end of that month It happens for every month You'll immediately have a lot
i didnt know most of these, but willy love crabs, piano elliot, bobbing around, change gate design, planting grass on winter, coconut dropping from tree, really blew my mind!, there's so much i dont know! and thank you for the leveling up bonus, because one of the day i could've sworn i was overexerted but i didnt get the half bar punishment and its been bugging me.
They changed the Fire Quartz thing. I swear I did that in 1.3 and only got one refined quartz back. I do know about the hold to repeat thing, but I've found that, with good timing, clicking for each hit is quite a bit faster. So, I still manually click, just not spammy.
Thanks to this video I have finally decided to purchase Stardew and play it. I have played Terraria and Minecraft and now because of your great video I will finally get around to playing this game.

Okay there's several things here I didn't know, including that you can make oil directly from sunflowers, and corn! Thank you for all the helpful information 🙂
the fishing directional keys trick got me audibly screaming “WHAT?!” so loud my sister thought something happened 😅
The many times I wasted energy trying to position myself and throw casts repeatedly to aim at the fishing bubbles……
Same! I was so excited about this one.
Dude, yessss. That totally blew my mind.
Definitely same, this one threw me off the most cause I cannot believe I’ve hadn’t figured that yet 😂
I cannot say how many times I got stuck trying to hit those bubbles, and ended up passing out from the energy use.
I had no clue about the talkative slimes!!! that's so sweet, I love it
Didn't know about the train. Always thought I had to be on-site to pick up items it dropped. I never set foot in Joja unless I was looking for someone, so the stuff for sale was new. Ew! No wonder Shane hated his job so much! XD
Try clicking on the full moon on the 27th day shipping bin sale breakdown screen. ;D
I only learned about the crab cake buff a couple of days ago! I've been using Pepper Poppers this whole time. Crab Cakes and Triple Shot Espresso are a top combo for speed that last the day.
Pepper Poppers are great, though you are right crab cakes longevity rules!
1:12 there's also a few hidden emotes that you can get through commands, such as /emote jar,/emote music,/emote taunt and /emote blush
7:34 and there's actually another Easter egg in the title,if you click the bottom right side of the W,butterflies will appear
Also, if you keep clicking on the full moon, the man in the moon will appear.
I just learned the hat trick this week, been playing 4 years lol. And now my mind is blown by the fences tips in this video. Also it was so nice to see this pop up on my feed :) great job with this one!
Yay! Always happy to help
If you want to get hay with only fully upgraded barn/coop then use a bomb to destroy a small few hay then you can get some from the bin as if you weren't in a fully upgraded one.
TIL! Wow I'll have to try that
That's an amazing tip! Definitely will try that.
Love your profile picture!
Oh my gosh, you just answered my question about whether it was possible to make your own vegetable oil for cooking. I was annoyed that I could only buy it at the store. I was only using the oil maker for truffles!
Seriously! Same! Now if we can find a way to make vinegar also
Knowledge is understanding that the tomato is a fruit, wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad.
Specialist knowledge is knowing that while ‘fruit’ is clearly defined, there is no botanical definition for ‘vegetable’.
@@oldvlognewtricks True.
Vegetables are a social construct
Being able to control which way trees fall is honestly life changing, thank you 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I learned a lot in this.
Schrödingers tomato
Legally they’re whatever we decide they are. We can legally call them fish if we want
Thanks for the tip!! I had this cutscene the last time I played. I would have missed it if it weren't for your comment!
I always buy hundreds of crabcakes around that time xD
Catch one crab and build a pond, the fish in pounds multiply over time so you can take a few crabs out, make them into food and new ones will turn up by themself; endless crab supply
@@synth9876 Thanks for the tips!
I had no freaking idea about the all-you-can-eat! Definitely not surprised though, this game has so much content to offer.
I found out that higher quality items give more points recently, BUT I didn’t realize how much more you get! That’s insane!
I've been playing this game for over 3ish years and I am shocked that most of the obvious things that are there I didn't know about. Thanks for the video taught me alot!
the coal tree one is the one i didnt known, really cool detail
Great stuff. We SV players ought to get the one about quality not affecting keg/preserve jar products tattooed on our hands.
indeed, i always forget about it.
These tips are amazing!! I’ve been playing for so long and didn’t know about a lot of these. Thank you!!
So much of these tips make me feel better about not restarting the game. I just wish there was a "decoration mode" embedded so i can rearrange my farm/house/town/etc without time passing by.
True, I can spend game hours/days just rearranging 🤣
The catalogue at Piers shop & the one at Robins helps if you buy
I have totally passed out in my own house because I didn't notice how much time was passing as I decorated.
I had no idea about the bouquet in the furnace! what a funny addition, I just love this game lol
I’m pretty new to the game I find that leaving chests outside of caves with food inside. And also leaving any items you don’t wanna lose in the chests
The switch version also has emotes. Press down on the red joystick and when the emotes come up, move the joystick to whichever emote you want to use
Thank you for those amazing Tips! But, actually there are 4 Easter Eggs 7:35, click multiple times on the right screw of the W and see the magic! Keep up your amazing work! :-)
Woops! Can't believe I forgot the butterflies!
"If you time it right you can access the shop."
Me who keeps forgetting to ask her to build me another silo: *maniacal laughing*
4:40: If your barn or coop IS fully upgraded with the autofeeders, you can still remove hay from the hopper by using a cherry bomb to blow up some hay in the feeding bench. Just make sure your heaters, autograbbers and autopetters are not in the blast radius, or you will lose them.
I didn't know about the Elliot piano thing - that's absolutely adorable. The heart in this game oh man 💗
Wow, I've played hundreds of hours of Stardew and I can't believe how much I just learned!
Usually I skip these type of videos because the tips are often very basic and hard to miss.
You just blew my mind. Well done!
Glad you enjoyed it! I too have watched some and am like... but that's just how you play the game?! Give me new things, give me DRAMA! Anyways, happy I could teach you something new
@@Wickedy haha, it's so true! Thanks for showing them how it's done 😀
I recommend you plant in the greenhouse though or indoors.)
When you are fishing you can get 8x normal fishing XP on a max cast, a perfect catch and a treasure.
The cactus seeds say in the description that they need to be planted indoors.
@@mirjanboumaYes, but with the greenhouse/sewers you can grow crops year round with garden pots.
@@dartimes6048 I somehow completely missed that you said indoors, apologies, and thank you for reminding me of the sewers, free indoors!
Blocking your grass with objects is an especially good one for those who use lots of animals; never plant replacement grass again!
Yeah that's certainly useful. Saves so much money
Do you still have to plant the grass with objects at the end of the Winter season before Spring season comes? Or it just grows under the object during Spring
All the grass goes away as soon as winter hits tho
@@Indeeee yeah but nobody's waiting around until winter to start doing stuff...
I’m really new to this game, so every time I watch videos on it I’m impressed by the sheer amount of content in it.
I never knew the quality of an item can boost friendship points! That's a game changer.
The tip about putting flooring down in the slime hutch is so helpful, thank you!
That second secret woods path blew my mind. These are some really great tips that I actually haven't seen elsewhere, thank you!
Watching this video makes me realize I have no idea what I’m doing.
The Tea Set was my first gift ever of my first playthrough lol I had no idea it's that rare
Thanks for the tips! I just discovered this game last week and I am obsessed
I remember when I first started sdv. Actually, I don't really. I was all a blur of no sleep and obsessively hoarding everything. It's a lovely and addictive game.
Idk why I find "Good afternoon, Frost Jelly!" so damn funny but I need this now
Wow, I almost didn't want this video to end! Amazing list you've got here
I haven't long been playing Stardew (absolutely love the game!) so a lot of this was new to me and I'm going to go try them out! Thanks for the video, brilliant!
I've only messed about in the first two seasons of this game. Seeing the insane depth to it all honestly, incredibly intimidating haha.
Same lol I don’t know what I’m doing
In a similar video someone said that the friendship pop-up doesn't happen if you pet your animals while holding a hay, BUT I found out that if you right click the first animal you want to pet and just hold it you can walk past your animals and auto-pet them (kinda like holding right mouse down to plant seeds)
Absolutely plenty I didn't know.
I've added so many of these to my Stardew Valley note on my phone for things to try - thank you! :)
one thing i found out like 2 days ago also somewhat of a spoiler is that you don't need to go and enchant your weapon at ginger island to kill the mummies you can actually just use the golden scythe and kill them that way which I found cool
Oh I didn't know that, I was just using bombs once they collapsed. Good alternative :)
I just tried to use the golden scythe and it didn't work to completely kill the mummies :( maybe it was updated or something
I currently have ~300 hours of gameplay, and the majority of these were things I had never heard of before. Thank you for this!!
One thing to also know it's not just at the end of winter and at the beginning of spring you'll get a bunch of grass if you plant a little bit of grass at the end of that month It happens for every month You'll immediately have a lot
You learn something every day. Today I learned Emily is adorable when killing slimes in your house 😅 8:42
Considering a gold star corn is 75g but oil is 100g, it really is the best to just turn all corn into oil unless stacking some as ingredients.
I think pickled corn may sell for even more I'll have to test out this theory.
i didnt know most of these, but willy love crabs, piano elliot, bobbing around, change gate design, planting grass on winter, coconut dropping from tree, really blew my mind!, there's so much i dont know! and thank you for the leveling up bonus, because one of the day i could've sworn i was overexerted but i didnt get the half bar punishment and its been bugging me.
I had always suspected the horse speed thing thank you for confirming it
Been playing for almost a year and NEVER REALIZED YOU CAN PUT QUARTZ IN THE FURNACE!!!! Thank you so much for enlightening me :3
They changed the Fire Quartz thing. I swear I did that in 1.3 and only got one refined quartz back.
I do know about the hold to repeat thing, but I've found that, with good timing, clicking for each hit is quite a bit faster. So, I still manually click, just not spammy.
wow thanks 😊 I didn’t know like half of this despite playing it for several weeks now 😂😂
The egg trowing slingshot was hilarious 😆
Thanks to this video I have finally decided to purchase Stardew and play it. I have played Terraria and Minecraft and now because of your great video I will finally get around to playing this game.
Awesome! I also have a beginners guide with a few starter tips too on my channel if you need. Enjoy your time in the Valley!
@@Wickedy I saw that video too sense i subbed right after this video but thanks.
Not gonna lie, I did not think you had a full set of 86 solid tips. Boy was I wrong. I have over 350 hours on the game and still learned a ton. Thank you!
The Robin store on her days off blew my mind.
I've been playing this game for awhile now, and I didn't know half of these!! Thank you so much for the awesome video! 😄😄
