I might actually vlog now! I can't imagine walking down the street holding my A6600 pointed at myself without people staring, but with the Pocket 2, I can see myself using that in public.
This is the third, and by *far* the best, review I have watched about the Pocket 2 camera. Great work.

Reason; thorough review PJ, The Pocket 2 has matured in many small but significant aspects. I also, have matured since the first Pocket and I could appreciate using and having these improvements. Some improvements like the packaging just make it easier to handle.

The image quality of this little camera is honestly blowing me away. I expected it to look a lot worse
The image was good. The wireless mic audio was terrible.
Anything looks good in good light
MMA Via it has a bigger image sensor than iPhone 12 Pro and the other Samsung flagship I can’t remember the name of. So lowlight will be probably better than those for video.

Reason - I work in an old people's nursing home and I've been using my old osmo pocket to film our residents. It's compact enough that it doesn't feel frightening to them. I'd love to be able to step the gear up. The size allows it to be a non-intrusive way to film in the care home without making everyone nervous. So I'd love one :)

@@THEMATT222 Yeah, but I mean, if it's this bad, but they say they will improve it tremendously very quickly, surely they could have done that already. The only reasons I could see why this unit is the way it is are:
1. It will actually still take a while until that firmware comes out, so don't be surprised if your new gimbal camera doesn't focus well for a month or longer after purchase (maybe don't buy it yet...).
2. The "fixed" autofocus is better, but not great. Delivering this as a review unit allows them to give an excuse, meaning you (and Gene) are now expecting the final version to be much better than it actually will be. This will hardly be a reason to return your Pocket 2 if you buy one, so ultimately, they would sell you a feature that they never deliver.

Big question! Does it save on larger than 4Gb files? Last one cut files at 4gb and it sometimes lost audio. It meant I could not rely o the audio from the osmo pocket. Video wa salways excellent though
It's going to be still 4gb. The Mavic air2 drone still saves to 4gb chunks. So i believe it's the same technology.

My one never loses audio... might be your editing software.
The reason for this isn't the camera, it's the file format of the SD cards. Fat32 file format is compatible with all devices and OS's and is the standard that all cameras currently use. However it was created in 1977 and it's not physical capable of processing individual files larger than 4 GB.

@@sirajulalam8610 Lol no. You can't trick physics. A 12 mp camera means you're basically never going to crop your photos. No amount of tuning can increase pixels. Do you like 640x480 monitors? Or 480p RUclips videos? - WW

I wanted to get the original, but I couldn't justify it. This creator pack looks like a winning combo that would get me to finally pull the trigger. The video quality is astounding for something this small.
I made my first review video ( of this camera ) and just started the RUclips journey. I was blown away to see your video was the top video suggesting my first video since you have always been one of my favorite creators to watch. I aspire to reach your level one day. Thanks for all of the content you’ve put out there even though it can be a serious grind at times.. hopefully an enjoyable one… ..except when you’re fly food.

I am in love with how dji did their case for it. So much for functional for every accessory. I got the expansion kit for the first osmo pocket and I have to always find a place to store the wifi adapter and controller. Did you have your phone connected to the osmo pocket for the last shot?

no no, with this joystick you can not control the speed like the roler on the old one, it is on/off switch, this is not an upgrade, it is a downgrade.

Didn't notice any guide in the video but I've got nothing to lose when I try. I've been vlogging for 8 years with no decent camera and shaky footage. If I win these could be a great birthday gift for me. I always dream of having an osmo pocket.

I actually went out and tried all the action cameras...except for the gopro series...and found that this one...no action camera can beat...although its not an action camera the low light performance is the BEST in class...if you have a 200-400$ phone that shoots decent video but crappy video at night....this one is better than an iphone Period...

REASON: ii literally JUST bought the first one not knowing that the pocket 2 was coming out. So I’ve spent about 800$ on the camera and accessories to be able to use it for music videos and to use it wirelessly. I love DJI, I have been using it for years way before the pocket was even invented and I gotta say that all of the updates are perfect!! Exactly what I need in order to shoot easier with this small pocket camera and change the music video game. I want to show people that it’s not what you use, it’s HOW you make use of what you have.
