I have an increased lumbar arch, it has probably always been the case thought out high school cross country but I never felt it until after I enlisted in the Marine Corps and went from weighing 140 lbs. to 170 lbs. My upper body mass increased as well as I bulked and most likely increased the strain while running. Your video and solution relieved the strain greatly.

Thank you for this video! I feel like your review of pelvic tilt / lumbar arch and over-striding describes my issue perfectly. I'm dealing with a lot of discomfort in the middle of my lower back as I've increased my mileage this year. I've got to take the next few weeks off to deal with inflammation and will definitely be incorporating your suggest stretches and exercises going forward!

I'm 70 yrs old, and never got lower back pain from running. Now that I'm older, I figured
my muscles were not as flexible ? I get lower back pain for 1-2 days after a run, ( inflamed),
then the pain subsides a lot. All these guys with easy solutions on here, I question strongly ?
The pain is on both sides of the spinal column, from the top of buttocks, to mid back area.
    I should also add that I also do 40 - 60 situps 3 times a week, and 40 - 50 pushups, so generally
my muscles are in good shape -- "except this back pain" , which also makes those muscles
"very" weak, for a couple days, I suppose because of inflammation ?? Any specific advice ??
The pain also could be from the situps ?, so I'm a bit confused on how to stop this problem ?

hip pain caused by running is 99 % time caused by femoral anterior glide. When the leg swing backward and hip flexors are too weak there is a high chance for injury to the tendon. Stretching might help only for a while but after it comes back with vengenace. Body does everything to protect the tissue and increase the tightness there but the only way to rid of that tightness is by strenghtening the hip flexors not stretching.

Definitely agree I'm a football player and I got a sharp pain while sprinting when I was 14 and rested for about a week before getting back to it. It ended up getting worse because I never strengthened it at the same time I was grew several inches in those months so my body was even skinnier and weaker. Doctors said I could have surgery but it was too risky so instead I had to wait until it went away and did physio. Eventually I was tired of not playing football and tried everything i could and started not just stretching but also strengthening and the results were crazy. Soon I could play again and could chase my dreams. didn't mean to write so much but oh well.

So when I do the third stretch for the upper section the stabilizers. When I’m on my left foot and twist I get loads of pain on the right upper side. Which is where I’ve been suffering the most. Which is why I looked up this video. What can I do?

If I am new runner in my early twenties and I think my issue is glute weakness, would I be able to address the lower back pains by purely running more? Like would running by itself give me enough stimulation for my glutes to grow?

Immediately after i cooled down from 15km run i felt like sudden sharp pain in lower left more glute oriented place almost like its close to sacrum, cant really specify and it is showing up mostly when i walk, and when i make pressure by standing on that leg and release the pressure from that left leg, and i cant really point at the right place where the pain is, what do you think it could be?🥲🥲🥲
